In my opinion, it's not about the genre of the song, but the vocals themselves. They are very clearly heavily inspired by Billie's style.

You can hide something behind a few instruments, but the whole idea is clear. Her voice, the way she sings the notes, her whole apparance screams Billie Eilish.

In just over 100 words, Victoria has taken my heart. The song is eerie, gentle, delicate and moving. When she sings the line "your lies burn like sugar in my wounds", I was so touched. It's stunning!!
From semi 1, I can see 14-15 potential qualifiers, from semi 2, I can barely pick 5. Victoria is in semi 2, so will fly through to the grand final, where I think Bulgaria just may improve their best ever result and take us to Sofia in 2021. But.. even if she finishes last and bombs (unlikely) this gem will be on my playlist forever. Love from Australia.

I have never been prouder with a Bulgarian song entering the competition. I fell in love with it from the very first listening and have been listening to it on repeat all week long. It gets me every time - so delicate, so angelic, absolutely heart-melting ❣️ Victoria for the victory 🏆
The thing I always have in my mind when I'm looking forward to a song from a country is that I m waiting for an artistic proposal. And few countries the last years do a PROSAL fresh, new with lyrics and music that prove taste and work on it. Thanks God Bulgaria my neighbors (Greece here) did that very well this year. This will be a total 12 points reprise for their musical gift and not based on "neighbor solidarity" tradition at all 😉. Nice reaction bro really enjoy your live commentary too. It is very old school, wouold elevate so much with a live orchestra. Really looking foreward to see where this will finish in a ballad heavy year, it doesn't strike me as a run away winner, but it should get a lot of support from the juries so everything is possible.

It's very easy on the ear and cute, but in a similar market, Romania has more edge, atmosphere..and urgency. They will both be sure top ten , but I'm not sure this has the impact needed to challenge. So I don't share Matt's 100% enthusiasm...!

Ever since ESC became a show where you sleep instead of being jolly and positive. Romania, Belgium, Bulgaria and especially the Netherlands. These are not ballads but classic lullabies that are quasi modern thanks to the countries they come from and the results at ESC over the last couple of years. Eurovision has become a matter of political prestige and nothing more. The song is absolutely irrelevant. It only matters the country . 👍

This time I can’t agree with you. Imho this isn’t very authentic or genuine but very staged, generic, whatever. I doesn’t appeal to me In any way. I feel nothing when I listen to it. I wish I would cos there seems to be a big hype about it that I just don’t get. It was interesting when Lana del Ray came up with this genre in a modern suit some years ago but then repeatedly took basically one and the same song and Bulgaria feels like another random Lana del Ray song, I‘m sorry! 😢

What is that trend of almost acapella ballads ?? People will fall asleep ! I'm disapointed with my country ... This is like a chrismas song and a disney song had a sad baby ! Switzerland will blow us away ! I'm not sure if we'll even qualify ! The most disapointing part is that Victoria can sing like a beast and she's humming here... At least we'll always have 2017 and 2nd place . :/
