    Brother. Your guides are a god send for a player new to fighting games like me. I've already watched combo videos, so I know what my characters good normals and combos are, but what I REALLY want to focus on is the fundamentals. PLEASE keep making videos like this! I feel like your vids will truly make me a much better player.

    Good to know on when to jump.
    I've no idea how to find a safejump for Honda or Guile (so many knockdowns).
    Don't have a crosscut DP. Might be too hard for me anyway. But maybe a charge special or parry helps. Or block a crossup & throw tech (unless command grabbed).
    Thanks for the vid.

    Your videos are such a help!
    For the cross jump, dummy guide would you mind elaborating what that looks like? How many slots total after you added drive pressure and cross jump? Slot 1 is cross , 2 is drive impact , 3 is ??

    • @Chris_F

      Slot 3 is cr.lp, cr.lp, drive rush into cr.lp.

    Identifying and reacting to cross ups is something I need to work on a lot. Even if I have down charge as Guile I either do it too early and it just whiffs or I do it too late and get stuffed 😅

    • @Chris_F
      @Chris_F  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You can take a micro-step forward and then do flash kick to stop it from whiffing against crossups.

    Great vid. Can someone explain how to do cross cut dp? Sometimes if I let them go over my head like if they jump out of corner, I can just use the regular dp input as they go over my head to the correct direction. Other times, it doesn’t work and I’ll get a fireball or sometimes a crouch medium.
    I don’t really know what the input is truly for cross cuts. I have read it’s a half circle, but idk. This is prob the hardest part of this game for me rn. Any tips advice or links appreciated!
    Keep up these vids please they are great!

      I made this video for hitbox/leverless BUT the idea is the same for lever or controller for crosscut DP.

      @@Chris_F thank you! It’s hard. Feom what I’ve heard Crosscut are a lot harder to do in sf6 than sf5.
      I use ken and Luke and legit do better with Luke because his crouch fierce is such a reliable AA and his cross cut seem to come out way more consistently.

    • @Chris_F
      @Chris_F  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      From my experience, the auto-crosscut DP (doing 323 from crouch) is *very* unreliable in SF6, but the walk under technique I sent you in my video always works.
      Crouching HP is a great option but it loses to crossups at close ranges so I think spending time to learn the walk under crosscut is def worth the time if you are playing a shoto.
      Let me know if you have any other questions, always happy to help

      @@Chris_F ok so effectively the method is to hit a forward input when you’re facing them and then down back the opposite direction. Yeah?
      This makes sense because many people just say.. if the opponent is on my right and jumps over to the left, walk forward then do a half circle. Which would cover the forward input and down back?

    cross up uppercut? I cant even block the opponent cross up attack😅
    Especially when Luke cross jumping attack me at the perfect timing while i wake up. How to defend it?

    • @Chris_F
      @Chris_F  ปีที่แล้ว

      Try to back-tech (push any two buttons after you hit the ground) when Luke knocks you down to avoid crossup jumps. You just need to practice blocking in the opposite direction vs crossup jumps. Record a summer doing crossups and practice your blocking in training mode.

    what is a character like marisa supposed to do against crossups? I was playing this modern ryu yesterday who just kept going for crossups into low forward, and it was the most infuriating thing i've ever had happen to me. I managed to use OD scutum a few times, but not only does it lose to empty jump grab, what if I want to play a character without a DP of any kind

    • @Chris_F
      @Chris_F  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      There are many things you can do. Some examples:
      -Jump back light punch (big bird uses this a lot, check out his replays on TH-cam)
      -Perfect parry the crossup attack

    What about those annoying players that neutral jump a lot, seemingly at the perfect time - everytime? When you drive rush, DI or let's say Ken's dragonlash, they seemingly have the timing with a neutral jump to always punish you. I feel like that's such an annoying playstyle and I'm D4 and still haven't figured out how to deal with those players

    • @Chris_F
      @Chris_F  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Usually those players are jumping one you get into a certain range. Watch your replays and check if your attack/approach timing was predictable. Then, try to change your timings next time you play.
