    When Cammy's crouching heavy punch gets blocked her ass giggles and that gives my brain positive reinforcement and I go for the combo 😔 (being +1 is still nice tho)

    For anyone wondering what meaty means it's totally worth checking out the glossary as it has a double meaning (although the meanings sort of overlap)!

    Mate....that was better than I could have ever expected, primarily cause I didn't know much about the skill in the first place.
    Seriously though, your channel is one of the most actually useful ones around.
    Most of em are just footage of the title skill being done over and over with some light commentary peppered in going "see , easy!"
    Thanks so much , really love it!

    Cammy is a menace! Constant Oki pressure w/ Spiral Arrow enders. You could go straight to Platinum just doing this.

    Great video. Turns out I have been doing manual meaties this whole time in SF6 without realizing there was a developed term for it. I recently started dabbling in Ryu from Luke and have been miss timing everything on wake-up because of the differences in character speed and reach, and now I know exactly why. I didn't have a tested and true meaty set-up, I was doing it manually, and NOW I know how to practice it thanks to you. Cheers!

    • @Chris_F
      @Chris_F  ปีที่แล้ว

      Manually timed is good too but it always helps to know some setups too. Happy I was able to help you learn how to practice it! Let me know if your win rate goes up and thx for watching!

    Your guides are pretty solid. There are a lot of guides for people of intermediate skill or above but a dearth of content for people like me who've literally just started and feel overwhelmed. I've read a few guides and watched some others but they're often very general and not something I can put into practice. Where I'm at right now I'm little more than a punching bag. At least with these guides I can go online and have a theoretical understanding of the game flow. I've played games like Mortal Kombat where the simplicity allowed for a much easier entry but SF is fairly opaque to a new player because so many of the deeper mechanics and their consequent mindgames are very subtle.

      I started making videos because I felt that there was a need for more straight forward and easy to apply guides for new players. So happy to hear you find my guides helpful! And don’t worry, as long as you’re having fun and keep finding things to improve about your gameplay you’ll start to get strong in no time

    I've been playing fighters since the genre started, but have always found this tough.
    Watched replays of good players using my main, but don't have a clue how to do an autotimed one.
    Then random connections online make frame perfect stuff very tough. So there's manually timed, but I don't know any meaties. Maybe a cLK or LP confirm works.
    Or baiting the OD reversal/super if you get hit once from one. Impressive vid. Thanks.

    • @Chris_F
      @Chris_F  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Watching high level replays and then checking when they push buttons after they knock down the opponent is a good way to figure out autotimed meaty setups if you’re not good at labbing yourself

    Great content! Does this naturally progress into safe jumps? And as such, are there ground meaties that work in a similar principle to beat invincible reversals? Thanks!

    • @Chris_F
      @Chris_F  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It really depends on the character and your combo ender so it’s hard to say.
      There are some meaty jabs that can beat slow reversals like manons lvl 1 super but those are the exception not the norm. Matchup knowledge is key!

    Manual meaties vs "frame kill" meaties. Not all characters are blessed enough that a simple dash up(unless in corner) is enough to kill frames for a meaty. Poor Manon lol!!

    • @Chris_F
      @Chris_F  ปีที่แล้ว

      IIRC manon gets midscreen setups with her qcb+k ender

    Doing meaty attack training without turning on Frame data?

    • @Chris_F
      @Chris_F  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Don’t need it. If your setup beats a 4 frame normal it will always work. The only frame data you need to know is that the dummy is set to doing a 4 frame wake-up attack
