Credit to the Thai Government and people for saving this piece of War History. My Grandfather died aged 30 on the Railway, visited Hellfire Pass in 2017 . Thank you for making these videos mate

When you walk through the cutting and look back up like you did….you can’t imagine how they cut this by hand..RIP poor souls.🙏🏻

I did the walk down to hellfire pass . Was kind of sad standing there knowing people suffered and died there . Again great video ...

Very surreal. It's sort of a tough place to film and remain upbeat. Hopefully it's still respectful. Thanks for watching.

The Park is maintained in the most part by the Australian War Graves Commission, the on site curator is an Australian. Its worth visiting on 25 April every year (0400 ish-Yep bloody early in the morning) for the ANZAC Day Dawn Service.

I think the snake was a Kanburi pit viper, I’ve seen 2 other brown pit vipers in that area also, including the Malayan which kills more people in Thailand than any other snake, mainly because it doesn’t move when approached, it’s hard to tell on my phone, either way yes a deadly snake.
A beautiful place with a tragic story, humans are the most technically advanced in the animal world but can be the most savage. Thanks for sharing James, keep living the dream 😎✌🏼

Thank you ,my father served in ww2 and was awarded the Burma star for his work. You have a very professional approach with both the camera work and equipment used. My only criticism is the interaction with travel buddy , this may be the difference between a good channel and a brilliant one. Harald baldr may be a good example for you . Ilook forward to future , chock dee

Another great video my friend. Great content and commentary. Such a beautiful location for this solemn and important memorial to the fallen railway workers. I've seen a lot of Thailand videos but this is the first time I have seen this location. Thanks for sharing it. BTW I was thinking, you're getting way too close to that snake my friend, until I saw your note that you were keeping 2 metres away. Although I'd probably be keeping about 20 metres away LOL. Keep on keeping on with the great videos CM!

Absolutely. It really is a challenge to balance the incredible scenery with knowledge of the cruelty and absuse so many endured here. True, in hindsight I probably could have been a meter or two farther back especially after I researched the species. Thanks for watching.

@@ChocolateManInThailand Well said. And your video was very respectful of the memorial while also taking in the beautiful scenery. Thanks for your response my friend

Just a lil FYI,a book (if there is one printed in Thailand) on the snakes over there may save your life.I can't remember exactly how many there are but there is over 200 different snakes there. There's a lot (much more than the US) that are very very venomous than any here. Some of them don't have antivenom serums either. Some are very very fast and some are very aggressive..and some a combo of them all....lol
    Note:
Not all venomous ones have the pointed head or cat like pupils and not all non-venomous ones have round pupils nor sleek heads.

I survived the video and I survived the COMPLETE Hell Fire Pass.....Most tours only go to the Flag Point and turn back , but on your one you can do the whole trail..Will never forget that one..!

While you were in Kanchanaburi, did you make it up to Sangklaburi and that wooden bridge, famous temple, and old temple on the lake? OF course, it is a twisty road up to the SKB.. Cheers mate.
