I believe Tom's Spiderman is the anchor being because of Tony. Who ONLY made the time machine to reverse the snap, AFTER he saw the picture of him and Peter. You could even say that he has been it all along as Marvel confirmed that Holland's Spiderman was the boy who stood up to Ivan's death bot in Iron Man 2.

@@ashleybanks-wm4cgMarvel wouldn't make Spider-Man the anchor being of the MCU, period. He's a Sony property. They don't have full-control over his character, they wouldn't base the existence of their entire cinematic Universe on one of the few characters left that they still dent actually own. If the MCU has an "Anchor Being" (A plot-device highly speculated to be the result of rewrites following Jonathon Majors' termination), and thus a narratve one-off exclusive to Deadpool & Wolverine ultimately inconsequential to the larger Multiversal Saga, and the various other MCU titles therein) than it's obviously Iron Man, rather than Spider-Man.
They said it takes a long time for a universe to die without an anchor being, so it is kind of inconsequential in the short term. Also, who's to say the anchor being has even been born yet, or on earth?
At this point I imagine the after credit scene of ant man 3 will be looked back on similar to the after credit scene of Incredible Hulk. They set up the Leader in 2008 and aren’t paying it off until 2025. They set up the council of kangs in 2023 and they probably won’t pay it off until 2040
I think the best way they could handle the change from Kang to Doctor Doom is to have Doctor Doom take over and eliminate the Kang Dynasty early on with his own variants, ending the Multiverse loop and solidifying that Doctor Doom is an even worse threat than Kang because his variants are completely unified in what they do......or perhaps he is somehow able to eliminate them all on his own without any assistance from his own variants. Perhaps because he's the rarest version of Doctor Doom and thus most of his other variants are Iron Man/Tony Stark. Either way if they play their cards right they could use Kang as a stepping stone to make Doctor Doom appear far more menacing and deadly.
I was so invested in Kang because of Loki and Ant Man 3, which his plotline outshined Loki and Ant man themselves in their own show/movie. Using the other two spiderman in an avengers movie is a huge power move too. Even if Kang doesn't get his own movie, I wish they would continue his plotline since it has so much potential.
No way he outshined Loki in season 2 lol Loki becomes the God of Story Telling and now has a grasp on every single parallel timeline dead and alive and resurrected the dead ones literally with his own hands, Kang couldn’t do that if he tried.
You the best way for them to write Kang off either have Doctor Doom masacre the council of Kangs or have Deadpool be the one that kills the council preferably Deadpool
I think Doom was always the right choice. It sounds to me like they were trying so hard to make Kang do what Doom did in the Secret Wars 2015 run. Now with this, they can pocket Kang for later (when they have a new actor) and bring his threat back for a future arc, maybe one that follows some of his other outings in the comics

Sounds like a mess, like most of phase 4. I think it's a good idea to reel it in with Doom. Let him have his badass moment where he wipes the Council of Kangs and rules the multiverse instead, become God Emperor Doom and have Secret Wars with him as the main villain. The only concern I have with this is Doom might have a lack of screen time. He's a fairly complex character, and it sounds like he's only appearing post-credits in the F4 movie. That leaves little besides Doomsday/Secret Wars itself. I guess Thanos didn't have much either but I would have liked to see more of Doom.
Jonathan Majors told TMZ that he is "heartbroken" by the news that Robert Downey Jr.'s Doctor Doom will be the new villain of the next two "Avengers" movies, effectively replacing Majors' Kang the Conquerer. Marvel fired Majors in December, the same day he was found guilty of two misdemeanor counts of harassment and assault. His villain, Kang, was created as the new Thanos of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and would feature prominently in "Avengers: The Kang Dynasty," which has now been scrapped and replaced by "Avengers: Doomsday," starring Downey. “Yes, heartbroken. Of course,” Majors responded when TMZ asked if he was hurt by the new direction Marvel was taking. “I love Kang. However, Doctor Doom is evil.” TMZ later noted that Downey was being given the opportunity to lead more Marvel films despite his own history of legal troubles. Downey was arrested in 1996 for possession of heroin, cocaine and an unloaded gun and received three years of probation. He faced many other legal problems in the years that followed, causing some Marvel executives to worry about casting him as Tony Stark in 2008's "Iron Man." "I think it's only fair that Mr. Downey has been met with patience, curiosity and love... and that he will be allowed to work [his] art and be creative at that level," Majors said of how Downey was given a return despite the legal problems. "I didn't really understand that." Would Majors want to return to the MCU as Kang? "Hell yes! Hell yes! I love it. I love Kang," he said. "If that's what the fans want and that's what Marvel wants, then let's move on. Hell yes."

The thing with Infinity War and Endgame is that we had followed most of these heroes, Bucky and T'challa, Nat, Steve and Sam, Tony and the others on Earth, Vision and Wanda, Thor and Hulk coming back to Earth, the Guardians getting involved, Strange and Spidey also. These characters were established more or less to a degree. But with 5 and 6 if they did use DP, Wolvie the the 3 Spider-Men as well as Ghost Rider etc then it would have given them something truly amazing to go by and then left them and the 616 Avengers to be in Secret Wars. Marvel have already half committed to continuing the Kang story via some form of animation story. Could be a what if style show or an animated movie on Disney. But they will 100% sew up the Kang story, they just have to do it within the legal parameters of contracts. This was always going to happen. Tobey Maguire was never going to come back for just No Way Home. Nor was Andrew Garfield. For all the implications of finality that Deadpool and Wolverine had, it was never the swan song for Hugh Jackman. If this leak is true, it's interesting. Marvel and Disney listened to complaints and ditched She-Hulk, Rule 63 Loki, Shang Chi, America Chavez and Captain Marvel. But this movie idea feels like old times and not in a good way. Remember when Spider-Man and Wolverine would be slapped onto the covers of comics that had nothing to do with them? That's what The Kang Dynasty feels like. Hugh Jackman and Tobey Maguire meeting up with each other is the ultimate example of cinematic fanservice. An event 20 years in the making. To add a double whammy, Wolverine would team up with three iterations of Spider-Man. What would Disney do? How would they botch the unbotchable? Easy! Spider-Man and Wolverine team up to stop Kang and lose! To a guy who was taken down by Rule 63 Loki and a stampede of ants!
Like I commented before Loki stopped all the Kang Variants and the Multiversal war but another threat started that is Dr Doom and Loki will fight Doom and i really hope its Loki who recruits all the heroes for Secret wars.
The best thing they could do (aside from just recasting Kang?) is to show Doom annihilating the council of Kangs. The opening scene of Doomsday, a portal opens to the council, and in steps Doom. We then see him just go to town, killing all of them in various means, single-handedly. This would conclude Kang’s story, albeit very abruptly and slightly underwhelming, but it could also work as a very sudden and shocking twist if done well. The council’s threat is no more, but Dr Doom’s threat is signified IMMEDIATELY

Its simple, the timeline exists just to the Anchor being exists too, in another words, evey single event that happens will leads to the Anchor's birth, for example. It's similar to "if WW1 didn't happened, WW2 wouldnt too, and so my grandparents wouldnt meet each other and I would not born"
I always thought anchor being meant Hugh Jackman's Wolverine was keeping the Fox universe of movies alive lol.
Yeah this doesn't make sense. Making a meta almost joke plot point in a movie where the main character talks to the camera a main plot point in an Avengers movie as well seems ridiculous.
Well that IS the meta narrative of the concept in D&W is that Wolverine was keeping Fox alive 😂
Anchor beings made no sense. It undermines the events of Loki TV series.
It still feels MCU is writing themselves into a wall like Fox did with the X-men franchise.
I believe Tom's Spiderman is the anchor being because of Tony. Who ONLY made the time machine to reverse the snap, AFTER he saw the picture of him and Peter.
You could even say that he has been it all along as Marvel confirmed that Holland's Spiderman was the boy who stood up to Ivan's death bot in Iron Man 2.
but when spidey got snaped it should have caused their universe to collapse so it has to be someone who has never died like Thor or the Hulk cous they have been in the MCU for a long time as well and has never died or u could even argue its captain marvel because who gave fury the idea to bring together a team.

At this point I imagine the after credit scene of ant man 3 will be looked back on similar to the after credit scene of Incredible Hulk. They set up the Leader in 2008 and aren’t paying it off until 2025. They set up the council of kangs in 2023 and they probably won’t pay it off until 2040
maybe they bring Majors back in 15 years and no one cares and they pay it off ...it would be an insane long play, but could possibly work.
That would definitely be the best solution!
@@dwightmitchell5109 Yes! I love that! I can wait, if it means that i'll eventually see Kang fight the avengers.
Yeah, an entire post credit scene just to have them killed by that latverian bastard... No thanks. Kang deserves better.
He had potential in Loki, but Ant Man 3 flushed it down the toilet.
Could you imagine if they introduced Thanos in Ant Man 1 and he was beaten?
It definitely has potential to be great but it just doesn’t make sense anymore
No way he outshined Loki in season 2 lol Loki becomes the God of Story Telling and now has a grasp on every single parallel timeline dead and alive and resurrected the dead ones literally with his own hands, Kang couldn’t do that if he tried.

Doesnt the whole anchor idea leave a lot of opportunity for plot holes?
It became a mess the very moment they considered time travel and tried to BS their own mechanics for it. Plot holes are just par for the course.
That's what I was thinking and honestly makes no sense even with magic and fantasy that an entire universe is bound together just by a single person 99% of who are going to be a superhero for Earth
@@CollegeBallYouknowwhat are the mechanics of time travel? As far as I'm aware time travel such as this is entirely ficticious and used as a narrative device. Such narratives tend to explore the paradoxical nature of time travel that would imply it's impossibility. So for time travel to work in any form of fiction 'BS mechanics' are required.
The whole multiverse thing had no agency and no stakes. "Who cares of Ironman dies? There's 999,999,999,999,999 more"

Did people not hear that majors had a "no recasting " clause? Also, "fighting kangs in the past..." Sounded WAYYY dirty on low volume 😅😅😅
Doctor Doom is one of my favorite characters. I hope they don't screw this one up.
However, Doctor Doom is evil.”
TMZ later noted that Downey was being given the opportunity to lead more Marvel films despite his own history of legal troubles. Downey was arrested in 1996 for possession of heroin, cocaine and an unloaded gun and received three years of probation. He faced many other legal problems in the years that followed, causing some Marvel executives to worry about casting him as Tony Stark in 2008's "Iron Man."
"I think it's only fair that Mr. Downey has been met with patience, curiosity and love... and that he will be allowed to work [his] art and be creative at that level," Majors said of how Downey was given a return despite the legal problems. "I didn't really understand that."
Would Majors want to return to the MCU as Kang? "Hell yes! Hell yes! I love it. I love Kang," he said. "If that's what the fans want and that's what Marvel wants, then let's move on. Hell yes."

So why introduce him to the MCU before the *Fantastic Four* movie comes out in a few years? It doesn't make sense to feature Doom in an Avengers movie before properly establishing him with the Fantastic Four. That would be like putting Galactus in a Spider-Man movie-completely out of place. Pal all good points but no one can play Kang in live action but majors. It's an unbreakable part of his contract. Marvel have already half committed to continuing the Kang story via some form of animation story. Could be a what if style show or an animated movie on Disney. But they will 100% sew up the Kang story, they just have to do it within the legal parameters of contracts. I hate it to honestly majors was amazing but this Doom story is just the reality and RDJ is a treat instead of some other untested punk
This is tragic. We lost a good story because the MCU was hijacked in phase 5. Johnathan Majors should have the Kang role and RDJ can play Doom. Finish the story you started. We all wanted to see it.
Doom isn’t a downgrade necessarily, but Kang Wars would have undoubtedly been one of the best things to come out of the MCU.
5:19 giving me marvel ultimate alliance vibes
No. Kang deserves better, i don't want him to be remembered as the guy humiliated and killed by Doom.
