Boulder Wyoming | Grand Teton Biking, Brews, and ALL the driving | Episode 25

In this episode, we head on out from our overnight stop in Elko, Nevada and continue heading East. This was a long drive, passing through Utah. It was fun seeing the salt flats again, but no time to stop and take the truck and/or trailer back out there.
Continuing on, we headed out to pretty much the middle of nowhere Wyoming. Boulder Wyoming. There are 19 people living in Boulder, as of the 2022 census! This was the largest site we had ever stayed in and we really enjoyed the peaceful setting of the wide open plains with a mountainous backdrop. The pull through sites at Iron Horse RV Park are absolutely enormous!
It's about a 20 minute drive to the nearest small town, Pinedale. That's where we found groceries and a decent brewer, the Wind River Brewing Company, which we highly recommend! This area was also my fallback for work if signal was unusable at the park. Fortunately, I was able to just barely scrape by on cell service at the time! Starlink would be no problem these days.
The other thing we wanted to do during our visit was go see the Grand Teton National Park again, along with the nearby town of Jackson. Unfortunately, it's over 90 minutes to get there. It is a beautiful drive through the mountains, but that's a long way for the work week to try and travel and come back, so we only made it out the once. The winds made our bike ride a bit more challenging, but the views were worth it.

Sounds like you’re doing it right! E-bikes are the best! Make sure to check on the Teton pass status if you’re going through that way. It had a major collapse recently, but I’ve seen reports that a route through is available now. Safe travels! 🙂
