Fire and Ice in Colorado | Episode 26
Leaving Wyoming, we head South to Fort Collins, Colorado. While there, we encounter heavy smoke and ash from fires burning up in Rocky Mountain National Park. Luckily, snow is on the way to help out with the fire.

not much green on the roads in Colorado (or at least this time of year)
Yeah, the west is pretty dry and dusty all over. I think most of the moisture in these places comes during the winter. So once the snow has melted for the summer, it yellows out quick!

Sounds like you’re doing it right! E-bikes are the best! Make sure to check on the Teton pass status if you’re going through that way. It had a major collapse recently, but I’ve seen reports that a route through is available now. Safe travels! 🙂

It’s something else for sure! I can’t comprehend how much wood you have to burn to have that much smoke for that many miles.
The scale of these wildfires is just something else. We hear them in the news from Texas, but it was a first time experience to be able to drive through that much smoke for that many miles. I can't imagine somewhat regularly having to live in this kind of smoke. Much respect for the people who go out and battle these blazes!

If you doing a direct replacement always save your old fan blades some of these are out of stock and the do break. I had the squirrel blade fan on mine cracked in three places - pretty bad actually. Took the fan blade off and Glued it with super glue and left it off for a day. That was three years ago and they are still intact and undamaged.

Mine is almost exactly except my wires go both ways. A control box in the front and the capacitor on the other side of the motor. A real pain in the rear.

The screws are square head driver. Phillips doesn’t work near as well.

you are allowed to drive 80 with the trailer attached?
You can in places where it’s allowed. Our tires are speed rated up to 85. But .. we don’t ever go anywhere near 80. Typically we drive 65. Sometimes 70 if the roads are good enough.
wauw scenic route , its just mindblowing how massive NA is, here you can drive from most northern part to the most southern part in under 6 hours :)
Future goals are to do that 6 hour drive! Hoping we can figure out a way to do more international travel in the future! Even Canada is kind of a no-go with my current job.

Yeah I was surprised at how easy it looked once I started investigating the job. No way I was going to spend the money or the TIME to try and have someone else do it.

Glad you did that , I've been there but no one got in the water any of the times. Is the mud good for your skin like at the Dead Sea? You got up easy...The Dead Sea I didn't have bugs and it was hard to get up.
We have no idea about the mud. We certainly haven’t heard anyone mention anything about it. Hopefully we get a chance to go to the Dead Sea too one day! That sounds much better!

Glad you’re liking them. I think our only real issue from growing more is just not being able to produce them quickly. The algorithm demands sacrifices … of your time. I think I’ll be able to keep putting them out more frequently and faster with changes I’ve been trying to make to my workflow. We’ll see. 🙂
