A beautiful talk. Giving an example of what's the difference between finite and infinite game, with the interviewer trying to put forward his bunch of prepared questions and Simon trying to make people (like the interviewer) understand the similar difference.

You sir do not get "it" either..
Obsess over Simon's material until you have an "ah ha" moment
Those of us who DO share the vision are very protective of its essence..
It's clear to those of us who called him out how completely oblivious he is to the message Simon was trying to give him..
Good luck to both of you....
Maybe 1 day it will click.

I loved also the Q&A part. The interviewer role isn't supposed to be a fan-boy, but to put some 'schtick' to him. Sinek has a great vision, and I found the interviewer gave him some examples or business situations that seem to be incompatible with the execution of Sinek's ideas. I have worked for a company that had a C-suite session with Simon, but without the following up with the 'how' and 'what', the execution it still is out of balance, and people don't feel safe. And any idea should be challenged to see if it stands up to scrutiny. (I still have to find an interview where Simon's ideas are being put on the spot and shot at) And after seeing this vid I can say I still believe Simon's ideas do, yet now I have more insights on why companies display certain resistance against (this) change.

Do people realise the questions were clearly pre planned as a list to ask Simon and test his theory by Amol and his team. That is what journalism today is about asking the challenging questions that might trip or put people in an awkward position like you do to politicians. It does feel like they may have been still figuring out the questions whilst Simon was talking. I agree Amol did not come off well in the process as the one asking the questions and challenging the answers.

Simon Sinek's thoughts are great. But then he really needs to preach the ideas BEYOND executives.

I do think that Simon likes to be challenged and this man did just that, he asked certain questions that challenged Simon's theories. At times, he did come across as someone who's not familiar with Simon's work but we need to remember that there were probably some people in the audience who hadn't been familiar with these ideas either. The interviewer's job is not just to find answers for themselves but to make sure that the others involved understand what's being discussed. His arrogance is another story, though. It's not about the questions, it's how he asked them

Simon Sinek does have some great points, however ...
at 15:26 he said, "All men are created equal ... The country is at it's best when we are trying to achieve that." ... and then he gives some examples including universal education and universal health care.
UNIVERSAL EDUCATION is not good if their goal is to make a Godless environment where government knows best and is the parent of the children. We are created equal but we are not and will never be equal. Nor do we ever want to be equal. There should be vouchers in school choice so that people can choose which environment that is best for their children; NOT big government dictating what the government wants them to become.
UNIVERSAL HEALTH CARE is a good concept ... unless the health system care misses the boat. There are some things that Western medicine in the United States does well like in the emergency room, open heart surgery; that sort of thing. But the American medical system is broken. It is more interested in treating symptoms ... not actually addressing the root cause by prescribing patented medicines than they are in keeping people actually healthy. It is controlled by big pharma and their lobbying efforts.
How many people perpetually take a half a dozen or more medications? And this is considered normal! For example, statin medication is ubiquitous. There is no need to treat so many people with statins when cholesterol can be controlled naturally. The side effects are alarming. Allergies ... cancer ... autism ... SIDs ... blood pressure ... heart, liver, and kidney disease ... the list goes on.
THE U.S. HAS A HORRIBLE TRACK RECORD OF KEEPING PEOPLE HEALTHY. Nutrition, exercise, appropriate stress levels, toxicity, relationships, faith ... these are the things that are important in keeping good health. The medical system should be addressing the ROOT CAUSES causes of illnesses and looking at the entire body when addressing health issues.
The video was going great until he starting going off into left field with nonsense talk.
