I can't say how many times that I seen a Dio in concert I'd say around 6 but the best one was when Queensryche opened for him that was a hell of a show I tell ya'!!! It's in my top 5, along with Whitesnake & AC/DC, Ozzy & Saxon, Accept, Def Leppard & Judas Priest and any Iron Maiden concert, seen them about a dozen times.
@@debilombard1435 I lived in Germany for 30 years 73-03 and I lived within an hour and an half of 3 locals that had concerts Frankfurt was the farthest, than Russelsheim about 45min. and Offenbach about a half hour. In my time over there I seen 83 concerts from Monsters of Rock to just bands touring. And the best part for me was I got to see Maiden 12 times starting in 80 when they played at festival they were the 2nd band to hit the stage out of 7 bands B.O.C., Kansas and foreigner where the headliners and of course Motorhead was there seen them at every big event and the other 2 bands at this show where More and 38 Special, some good memories I tell ya. But since 2013 I've been listening to J-Rock & J-Metal, and if you haven't heard any Japanese bands might I suggest Lovebites, Nemophila and Band-Maid. I like to tell people that Rock&Roll didn't die it just moved to Japan. So if you haven't heard of them enjoy.

I had the good fortune to see him many times when he was playing in little and large hole in the wall clubs in central New York, with a band called Elf, Dave Feinstein on guitar. It was hard to believe such a fat full sounding voice could come out of a person his size. And then thankfully saw him so many other times when he hit "the Big Time". Only other singer I've heard with such depth of tonality was Cris Cornell. But Dio's presence overshadows any other singers in the genre.
I was bless enough to see his very first solo show as DIO at the Concert Barn in Antioch, CA. It was AWESOME to say the least. Vivian Campbell came out and walked the line signing autographs. I later got Ronnie's and Jimmy Bains as well.
Saw them a week later in Sacramento. Mind blowing. aerosmith headlined and sucked. Tyler horribly drunk. Best opening band ever....if not the best ever period. Two for one. Worst headliner ever with best opening band.
Me too!!! Fell in love with his lyrics. My highschool sweet heart and a group of our friends seen him in concert in 1982. May he rest in peace. He was a very spiritual person.

☹️😎🎤 RUHE IN FRIEDEN Ronnie. 🖤🖤🤟🤟 Er bleibt unvergessen!!!!!! 😎🤟👋

Shame on the night is the #1 Dio song that shows off Dio's voice. The best voice in metal.
A legend gone but NOT forgotten!🤘🤘
NEVER Forgotten 😊😊😊
On this night 14 years ago, Ronnie James Dio performed his last show. Best metal singer of all time. RIP Ronnie 🤘
He got promoted to Arch Angel Dio.
Can't believe he started as a 50s doo wop rock and roll singer
Ronnie, what an epic voice and personality.
This album is perfect. No fat, all meat. 40 minutes of metal perfection.
It'll wake people up!!! Something monumental here.
Yeah like The Rock of Metal.
I bought this album when it came out in '83. Blown away. Saw Dio that year at Donington MOR and just about ever UK tour after. Wish I could hear this album for the very first time again...
Simple put I played this cassette so much in high school I wore the ink off the cassette. Rock&roll forever!
I Understand That 😊😊
Lets do it for dio who will never be forgotten! LETS STAND UP AND SHOUT!
Amen To That 😊😊😊

Vivian Campbell is insane on this album
I can't say how many times that I seen a Dio in concert I'd say around 6 but the best one was when Queensryche opened for him that was a hell of a show I tell ya'!!! It's in my top 5, along with Whitesnake & AC/DC, Ozzy & Saxon, Accept, Def Leppard & Judas Priest and any Iron Maiden concert, seen them about a dozen times.
That's a hell of a line up! Lucky you! ☮️❤️🎸🎸🎸
Respect
Rock On!
OMG you have got to be one of the luckiest rockers on earth!!! I'm so envious!!! ☮️❤️🎤🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶
@@debilombard1435 I guess in way I was lucky, I got to see Accept & Def Leppard on there first major tours and they opened for Judas Priest that one's also in my top 5. But one band I got to see that I was a fan of from the 60's was Status Quo they played for 2 1/2 hrs that for me was a great show, I'm 70 by the way and I've been a rocker my whole life started playin' the drums when I was 10 got in my first band when I was 13 and I was the drummer and lead singer, yehaa that was fun. But since 2013 I've been listening to J-Rock & J-Metal, and if you haven't heard any Japanese bands might I suggest Lovebites, Nemophila and Band-Maid. I like to tell people that Rock&Roll didn't die it just moved to Japan. So if you haven't heard of them enjoy.
i got 2 see the last in line tour 2 times. glad i did. saw him on mob rules tour twice and on live evil tour too.Hail the mighty Black Sabbath.its not just music its in your brain ,your soul.your being! R I.P. DIO.
I was lucky to watch them record this album. My brother helped make the wind sound at the beginning of Invisible! It was made using his spare tire.
@@raidersrobert))))
Jimmy and Ronnie signed my Diver Down lp at a meet n greet at the Record Factory on Sunrise Blvd in Citrus Heights, CA. 🤘🏼
Me too!!! Fell in love with his lyrics. My highschool sweet heart and a group of our friends seen him in concert in 1982. May he rest in peace. He was a very spiritual person.
First heard two tunes with and from some other artist and I still like those tunes and today is the first opportunity to hear the whole album. Ronnie James Dio had a screaming voice like no other but very well rounded and in tune.
One of the great all time metal albums. Ever.
Holy and. Heaven n. the. Best
"Exactly Wes"
mah .. it is not. It is ok hard rock album though
@@pavelignatenkov7391 lmao wtf you said you dumbass this album is chosen as one of the greatest 100 metal albums of all time and its at the 16th row, professional raters and metal musicians gave this album 9,/9,5 star out of 10,this album influenced a lot of rock and metal bands, even considered as one of the albums that influenced nwobhm bands and other bands of genres, this album is considered as one of the influencers of nwobhm, john campbell of rolling stones says this album is one of the best of all time, everything is really melodic dio's voice is very good,he shouts very flawless, very bush drums are playing 4/4 ,6/4 without no mistake they are very congruent with the guitars no over drum fills, nice basic rock/heavy metal beats with few additional notes,no over bass drum playing or over snare chops, guitars and bass are really good no over down picking, extremeness very good powerchords vibratos and slides all of them done melodically and correctly and well, solos are awesome, fast yet no overplaying and no over sweep picking and screeching sound ,also this album is known as the best effort of the band you are very wrong and you think you know all but you dont know shit
@@pavelignatenkov7391 Let's start a lesson, one guitar and 2 guitars...
☹️😎🎤 RUHE IN FRIEDEN Ronnie. 🖤🖤🤟🤟 Er bleibt unvergessen!!!!!! 😎🤟👋
One of the great HM albums that sounds as crisp & fresh as the day it came out in nearly 40years ago
Hope Dio is rocking in heaven
Just can't seem to get enough of DIo R.I.P.
Had 2 6by 9s in rear. deck,. pioneer super. tunner. with. booster eq. in dodge Demon.,. that double. bass on. 2. song s1. kicked. Fucking Ass
Ronnie James Dio is and always the best singer of all genres music. The best of the best
O wow that musta took untold amount of thought on your part eh? T.M.P.?😂😂😂😂
Very witty, clever, n cerebral.😅😮
Claro! ❤
Dio and Black Sabbath are great bands
Rainbow with Dio was also amazing!
@@plagueknight5042 yes
Dio IN Black Sabbath was also great!!
Check out Rainbow
his voice was made for metal! metal’s most precious and greatest vocalist alongside rob halford\m/
Don't forget to add Bruce Dickinson to that list!
Totally a contender for best ever metal album.
I agree 100%! Rock on!
Takes me back to my heyday of melee and mayhem...🤘 Now at 57, I still reach for my 40oz "caguama" and my favorite smoke pipe and reminisce about the olden golden daze of living in a haze.🤘
I Miss DIO Sooo Much. His Foundation Helped ALOT Of Kids And Teens And He NEVER Got Enough Recognition!!!
14 years today, the earth and cosmos has been without this great man R.J.D. All your fans miss you, we are not the same without you.🤘
WORD.!!!!!!!!❤💕❤️💋🤘🤘❤🖤❤💋💋💋❤💕❤💞❤💞❤
My favorite Dio album! 🤘
Love the slight deviation from 4:4 timing during the solo in invisible at 29:45. Adds that little bit of suspense to the intensity coming up. Song writing Easter eggs.
Yes, nice observation. You'll also like Rush then, they do this a lot on 2112.
One of the best
I saw this man no less then 5 times in live concert. What a showman. Just so good live...even better then these recordings. LOVE YOU RONNIE RIP! My fav album of all time is Live Evil. SO GOOD! Vivian's insane guitar work is incredible on this album.
Dio is the worlds best heavy metal bands in the worlds.

I found out about Dio when I was 10 after reading a comic book with a character named after him, I can honestly say he's in my top 5 favorite singers now
So judging by your username that was 2008. Sadly I doubt if you got to see him play. Oh well maybe in the afterlife.

I seen Dio on the Holy Diver tour, the Last In Line tour, and first seen Ronnie w Black Sabbath on the Mob Rules tour.
I have my Holy Diver lp signed by Jimmy Bain and Dio himself.
May they rest in God's peace and love
That snare sound is pure perfection
Remember being 7 years old in 2010 hearing Holy Diver in gta vice city on the psp! Been hooked ever since.
Another example of lighting in a bottle. This album is just down right filthy with the riffage, melody, intense vocals, such a tight band. DIO is the GOAT
