looks like a mid 90's L8000, fortunately they only have a 270hp motor so busting a rear end is much less greater when bunny hopping... Drove an 88 up here in Maine for 2 years that was an 8LL deep reduction with locking rears. Nice little truck if you dont mind shifting with 12 yards on it...
Truck is in High Range Reverse, A. he'll burn the clutch out, and B . too much Torque digging holes, if he engage Low Range reverse and let it tick over and let the Backhoes motivate the truck, Truck Driver aint practical
A 2nd backhoe arrives, see's 1st backhoe struggling to rescue the truck. Decides not to do a fucking thing and just watch. Here's an idea, have both backhoes hook onto the truck and pull.
truck should have raised its bed up some to transfer more weight to the rear wheels. also they needed some chains that could allow both backhoes to pull it out.
Yea, we do that when we have traction problems back up Hills unloaded..Some people don't think about it though and some think it's scary for some reason
They would have had it out in no time if that stupid trucker didn't keep messing about while the digger was repositioning. First time if I was the backhoe driver I'd have let him off, after that I'd have left him there to figure it out for himself!
Typical lowest bidder contractor! No 4x4 Backhoe No Extend-A Boom and None experienced operator F***ing Classic! With a chain from the Backhoe bucket to the truck rear Frame or Pintle Hitch would've pull the truck out with ease. A Backhoe can pull a 35 ton truck out of the sand, I've pulled a fully loaded mixer through a river bed for about 70 feet with no problem, with a 580 Case Super M. Go Figure definitely not the sharpest tools in the shed or the beach in this case.
The US construction industry who has cheap mexican workers doesn't think the same thing. Neither all the busniess (farms, restaurants, etc) owners, or all the US familys who have cheap mexican maids, baby sitters, gardeners and so on. You should get your facts straight kid.
plenty of options available, maybe a couple chains and pull with both backhoes, really anything but drive into the ocean deeper.

Wasn’t going to lose the engine. The air intake breather is mounted on top of motor. Exhaust pipe touching water won’t hurt anything.
Question #1: What was he doing in the ocean in the first place?
bringing sans for the event attendee to look at...
One Homie 😍😍
This situation belongs to those situations where C-4 are a very tempting solution and probably the best one too!
I'm waiting for that tailgate to come flying off...

can you not see the exhaust coming up the side of the cab?
how did that happen??
Why was the rear end not locked so all 8 rear wheels would spin at the same time than he would have been out of their all ready
What a waste of a $100k dump truck.... And what a bunch of stupid equipment operators!

was the object of this exercise to wreck the damn tuck?

Just why? And how?
Did that trucker come out later or is he still there in that ocean ? :/

How in gods name did he get down there in the first place?
Are they drunk?
rumor has it it's in the same spot till this day.

Chain it and pull it oujt with both tractors.
I feel bad for those guys, but good ending anyway.
I wonder how he got in that mess in the first place?
Planking and a chain probably would've done the trick.
Is the truck driver drunk?
Young Whipper Snapper
Waiting for part 2
He should raise the box
the country your in explains how the truck got there

The backhoe pulls him out fairly good and then the truck driver drives forward...wtf???
So many questions about this....hahaha
They should just use the backhoes to bury that piece of crap dump truck in the ocean and tell the boss they lost it and need a new one.
They should of used the case instead of the Deere
he must have been high on something
That is what ends up happening when life guard in not in duty!

Tequila lunch presumably as well as minimal brain function!
Looks like hes trying to drive with his brakes set.
Step 1. Lets some air out of those drivers.
How to pull a truck from the ocean: With a rope/chain
