The ogre from Puss in Boots was a magician, actually, and specifically had the ability to shape shift (Pus defeated him by tricking him into turning into something Puss could eat).

Oh really? That's actually pretty cool. I haven't seen the original puss yet, I only saw the new one, the last wish.

None of what you say about Oni is wrong, I just want to add a bit more info. Oni are at least in some sources, reincarnated people who were evil in life. Sometimes they’ll even turn into oni in life, often coincidentally while wearing an oni mask that becomes stuck to their face, like seen in the movie Onibaba. Another thing is that while today it’s often used to refer to the club wielding giant monster, oni is also just a term for any malicious monster or evil spirit.
Oni in folktales do generally follow the same theme as ogres in the folklore though, being evil raiders and man eaters for our hero to kill. Many stories also say they kidnap women specifically to rape them too which is ew. Also there are a few stories about good oni, but those are meant to subvert expectations in the same way a story with good demons would do today.
Also wierd how dnd gave them Japanese clothes since their most popular depiction is them wearing a tiger loincloth.

Same, I feel like they often get forgotten amongst trolls and giant folk but I feel like they deserve their own spotlight somewhere in a fantasy.

At points in the video the soundscape gets a bit cluttered depending on how difficult it would be for you to do you should consider rebalancing the ambient music and the narration. The narration is not the best quality and that is totally okay depending on what else is going on the dynamics do get a little trickier with the Lofi because cranking up the level tends to emphasize the static. Or maybe it would work better with the ambient sound changed to something that is dynamically more consistent. If any of that is a headache I would not worry about it you will be better served expanding content rather than refining it. I think most of the pre-installed software always flattens the sound levels into one audio when exporting to the video format if that is your situation don't bother your blood pressure doesn't need that elevation. I don't have a recommendation for a software that preserves the levels I am long removed from actually working with media but when in the infancy of TH-cam I worked really hard trying to accommodate the fact I used Windows movie maker I didn't think anything free would be better and I was just a kid screwing off so I never upgraded the software. It would have saved me a bit of time polishing it to tolerable. Stuff like asking the audience to adjust playback higher speed for appropriate frame rate because I never got purpose built animation software. Anyway I have already babbled on too long. Ave a good'n

Ogres also appear in The Hobbit: The Battle Of The Five Armies.

In my writing Ogres literally just translates to large Orcs, (Orcs that are tall and rather fat) in order to keep things less complicated. I also did so because the word Ogre also orginates from the same exact word that Orc does.

Warcraft ogers are really cool. Ogers are often described as dim witted and slow.
But often a ogers arrogance is mistaken for stupidity. And them being stupid is generally false stereotype, propagated by races who didn’t live Draenor
Ogers are one of the frist empires on Drannor and were extremely successful.
They even had more culture and art than the orcs.
Now most of that culture was built on orc slave labor. The Ogers inslaving Orcs is a massive plot line.
The Ogers descended from rock giants and the Orcs are actually descendants of Ogers.
There extremely selfish and because of the horde they lost a lot of culture and after the end of second war they where shattered.
The orcs were also stereotyped as stupid after the second war.
But they rebounded because of thrall and his sense of direction.
The Ogres didn’t have a Thrall, like the orcs did.
Btw there are Ogres who follow thrall. My point is that they didn’t have a unified identity as ogers.
But yeah Warcraft Ogers aren’t inherently nasty, and disgusting. They’re just selfish.
Btw the Ogers are more cultured then Orcs, but Ogers has whole rank second lowest.
This is because most races are monsters, or are barely not a monster, but there civilian and race is so primitive. and the other races are up tight A they will never be playable.
And the ones that could be playable are your a holes who are socially isolated, so they have tones of shit they don’t share.
    So the not elf’s.
Btw when I mean not playable, I mean in a general role play way setting as a main character.
