Considering that people can be influenced with gifts as small as a PEN, how these you tubers can claim not to be influenced by early access to the cameras that helps them get views…. Laughable.

Over all, camera companies are HUGELY influencing the reviews by granting special early access to all the big camera channels and making them all agree to release their reviews in a giant simultaneous wave of reviews. It shouldn’t be like this. Camera channels can not claim to be un-influenced by this special access.

Love it but the only annoying thing is more tech reviewers need to think like the consumer. Most are not going to have $2,000 lenses to start out with so the video and picture quality is not showing what they’ll have with the stock lens it comes with.
There are some amazing alternative lenses that don't break the bank... also lenses can be bought used and usually still perform great for a limited budget. If you want to see what can be done with just the kit lens, look up some A6xxx review videos that mention the kit lens (16-50) and have cinematic in the title, there are tons on TH-cam...

Surprised about the price. i thought it might be more expensive. Now I am very convinced. The only problem I had with the ZV-1 was the fixed lens. Now I have all VLOG options but with the lens of my choice. Cant wait for the actual release date.

Serial 000000002. Excellent. I have a 6600 on a big ole Gimbal. Tomorrow I pick one of these up to fly on a little Moza Mini P. For fun stuff. For not looking like an intimidator while filming in crowds.
Comparing to a6400: Advantages would be: - flip screen helps a lot for vlogging - USB-C i have no microUSB cables left and need to carry always a good one. - better internal mic - has button for product show case (simple but handy) - has button to open aperture to maximum (simple but handy) - you can install lens that doesn't move much then camera goes to slip, scaring you or confusing gimbal balance. But: - Smaller weight of 50g make no sense then you still want to install at least 200g+ lens. - no viewfinder that gives bigger field of view, that handy on the street and for previews and by the way USB cable is in a way of the flipped screen. But it is better that cables moved to the right, because right side is for grep or gimbal motor So i am on ZV1 for now, mostly for its size with the lens. Struggle with zooming out lens that ruins gimbal balance, MicroUSB and slow charging, but truly lightweight and compact. Also i know it can record burst on 1000fps video that is possible on 1inch sensor and i wan to explore. Ah, maybe i am so "skeptical" because i have bigger mirrorless camera for still photography. If not, i of course want to upgrade to exchangeable lens system.
Great video and really interesting camera, but the 10-18mm is too expensive, Sony needs a more affordable ultrawide lens like de canon 10-18mm or 11-22mm.

@@codyjwoods my adhesive is holding up fine on my ZV-1. It’s been on there since Christmas. My RX100V has had it on there for a few years. I bought a filter adapter for that one when I first got it.
@@Panotaker maybe I should give it one more try. When did you buy the ulanzi set up? I did it about 6 months ago and it would fail. The lens kept falling off every two weeks.
It is basically a general purpose camera if you didn't use the blogging features at all and one that is less than 1/2 the price of a Sony A7C body to body . To make the point, I am ordering a 100-500 Tameron that will give e 150-750 mm coverage. That with the kit camera will leave me needing another Tameron and I am done with lenses. I am not a professional and will be using it for wildlife work. Good video Faruk!
Did you test rolling shutter? I may have missed it. The example i saw from gerald undone showed it to be insanely bad! I honestly wonderediff his unit was faulty 😆
Hi Faruk, thanks for the great video. I have accidentally bought Sony FE 85mm F1.8 (SEL85F18) lens instead of your suggestion which is 10-18 Sony Lens. Is the one I bought still be good or usable with ZV-E10? UPDATE: As I haven't opened the box yet, I am returning the lens and probably getting a more suitable one. Any indoor, widescreen, budget friendly (max around 600usd) lens suggestion for ZV-E10 is appreciated. Thanks!

This was the first review of the ZV-E10 I watched, then I went down the rabbit hole of watching all the other reviews over the past week or so. I started to feel like I want this camera for stills but the video was too shaky and the rolling shutter too bad based on what I was seeing in the other reviews. Tonight I circled back to this review again and am shocked at how much better iPhonedo’s footage is. It looks great! Still saw some rolling shutter, but his E10 footage looks so much better than the other videos I watched. So now I’m like “am I gonna get this and my footage look like ass or can I make it look as good as this?”
You stated it has a 28% crop for active steady Shot? That was for 1080p but what about 4K 24p? You listed it was 31% in 30p but nothing notated for 24p. I always thought steady shot was about an 18% crop???
How would the focus work if there were more than one person talking in the shot. If there were four people, for example, in what mode should I set it so that all the people are in focus but the background is still blurry?

This is the Alpha a5100 successor. Looked at that way, it's *solid*.

It is not a photography camera. Not comfortable for stills as a6400 for example

The 10-18 cost more than the camera! I’ll stick to my ZV-1 with the Ulanzi lens and M2 gimbal for vlogging.
Plus it’s a horrible F4. How’s your adhesive holding up?

@@codyjwoods I got mine for Christmas. You have to make sure the lens and the camera are super clean. I think I used alcohol.
Buy the Neewer LS-18 wide angle lens adapter instead of the goofy Ulanzi. It mounts on the base of the lens, you don’t use adhesive.

for a footage to look better its less about the camera and more about the lighting, scene, motion.
