I'm only four minutes into the video, but man, I can already tell this is special. The music choice when doing the intro was so perfect. The mood it creates is amazing. I promise I am not saying this just to say it, and I know almost everyone will think this comment is stupid/dumb/ridiculous (take your pick), but this is the only youtube channel that causes me to actually tear up while I'm watching it. The amazing camera shots and music just make that happen to me, similar to what happens when I'm listening to opera in person or hearing the Star Spangled Banner being sung at the beginning of a ball game. There's something special about a creator who can cause that effect in a video about a tech product. Anyway, this is a long-winded way of saying thank you, Faruk, for being on TH-cam. With your talent you can have almost any media or marketing job; i am nearly certain of that. But you've chosen to be here, giving us this free content. It's really awesome man. Sony should pay you a lot of money for this. I was totally sold not even 30% into the video. I was trying to make a decision between SIII and FX3. I am definitely going for zve1 now instead. So sorry for your loss. Amazing video! The features are insane. The overheating issue is the scariest part of a purchase like this! I want these features, but as someone who films outdoors in warm weather, I’m worried it’s going to overheat.

Hi Faruk! Did you test if the overheating issue can be bypassed by using a dummy battery with external power (like the Anton Bauer Titon Base for example)?

Sounds interesting. Question - Does it do APSC Crop Mode? If it does, what are the effects of a cropped lens with all the SMART AI functions like Auto Frame, Framing Stabilizer etc?
Sony really nailed it with this camera, it's unbelievable for the price, packed of features, same sensor of A7sIII 4k 120, Ai capabilities, amazing image stabilisatin...it would be perfect companion for someone that has A7iv and wants something serious for video/vlogging. If someone doesn't have an A7sIII and it s deciding...I'd buy this over the A7sIII, it's compact, does pretty much same things, yes for sure doesn't have heath dissipation as the A7sIII that it would be more suitable for certain types of professional work, but if you're content creator, this one is a no brainer! Sony demonstrates again it is the one to beat
Thanks bigtime. What a detailed review. After researching I ordered this camera yesterday as my first Sony camera adding the 16-35 f4 power zoom lens. I’d love the a7siii or the fx3 but as a solo working alone the auto framing on this zv-e1 will help it seem like I hired someone behind camera. Also I ordered the osmo pocket 3 as a companion to this camera since it can follow a solo creator as well in frame. And my first MacBook…a m3 max 36 ram with 1 Tb to help me be prepared to video edit. My 14 year old i7 Sony vaio laptop is still going on the original battery but I needed to upgrade to start video editing.
