Great! I love it when people have their own experience about something, but still have the restraint to be able to let people make their own mind up about it without trying to impose or influence their judgment. 😎😎😎
IF you do give it a shot, I wouldn’t be surprised that a chap of your calibre will not be a impressed with it as I was. As the only thing I’ve got to compare it to was Turbo Yeast Sugar Washes. And also, as you very well know, the way it is Distilled makes a difference as well. But anyway, nice to see you pop up over here! Keep Shining 😎
So entertaining you are! You made me laugh out loud. ya, so I'm actually very interested to see how this turns out. I use that exact yeast...I like to use it with a half packet of turbo yeast...does the job with no weird tastes. Until next time. the suspense is killing me (lol)
Actually I do pretty much the same I add twice the instructions ingredients so 40l of water etc and it ferments to around 17 percent no worries. You definitely didn't need the second pack of yeast in my opinion. The first thing yeast does is multiply. Interesting to see this but I doubt I'll be doing this one.
I generally just make tffv as i stupidly bought a 20kg bag of wheat bran 6 months ago and trying to use it all. I did make a kale wash prior to this though and imho kale wash produces the cleanest flavourless vodka compared to both birdwatchers and tffv. I still like the wheaty tffv flavour though so will continue to use my bag of wheat bran until its all gone
I bought a bag of Corn to make some UJSSM, but I couldn’t be bothered, so the chickens had it instead. So you’re a lot more dedicated to the cause than me 😆
i have been told table sugar need to be inverted . by inverted i mean boil the sugar for 15 min with a small amount of acid / lemon . does that make any difference ?
For some crazy reason inverting sugar seems to be the latest craze in home distilling. Ask any experienced brewer or winemaker their opinion and they'll have a giggle. Yeast are quite happy to produce invertase to convert sucrose to glucose and fructose. It is the more complex trisaccharides that brewers need to be concerned about... not relevant in sugar washes
So 1 litre added to the 20 litres will make it ‘a lot lower’ will it. You are correct, but can we please not start splitting hairs over things like this. Please 🙏
Glad you’ve said that. My published videos sound ok on my iPad but rubbish through the tv. And I’m not sure why that is or how to fix it, but I will have a look into it 👍
Great to see kale wash content on youtube
Definitely is. And it was a brilliant experiment/experience as well. I have a feeling I’ll be making more of this stuff 😎
I just love your humor old friend 😃😉
Glad someone does 😜
@@highly-spirited 🤣🤣🤣
@@highly-spirited I enjoy very much your humor and approach to the subjects. And the videos ain't to long and scientific 🙂
The thick as pig shit comment while leaning in to the graphic was the funniest thing I’ve seen in ages! Had me in tears!! Thanks mate, brilliant 😂
Oh but I am as thick as that. I’m not frightened of the truth 😆
@@highly-spirited looking forward to part two 👍
Love it. It’s the only wash I do now. So clean and no fuss. Cannot wait for part 2!
Although you already do this kind of Wash, it’s nice to hear that you’re still watching my efforts. Part 2 coming soon!
@@highly-spirited Absolutely, very interested in your take on it. I wanted the cleanest neutral for gin, for me….kale it is!

Nice mate, I have been meaning to try this for ages. Must admit I felt the same, dubious for a long time haha.

A super slo-mo kale pour AND a cliffhanger?! That makes the video worth watching.
we are waiting
I won’t string this one out….honest.

Cheers buddy. And not that long to wait before the next instalment comes out 😉

IMO it makes sweet FA difference. Inverting it just prevents crystallisation of the Sugar. And I’ve never, ever had that happen in a Wash before.

@@highly-spirited Yeah. Inverted really means nothing more then standing on your head. FA as you say.
don't have any seaweed but I do have spinach. I'll let you know how it turns out...lol
Well Spinach was good enough for Popeye wasn’t it! 😝
Can't believe you missed an opportunity to fake the kale mixture pouring in but overlaying your mouth barfing it out! 😜
I can’t believe I didn’t think of that as well, but then again that would have been pretty gross 🤮 Like your style though 😂 😂
Your OG will be a lot lower then what you claimed - should've taken it after the added dilution from adding the kale/water jobby.
