I know this channel is about games, but you drink something while playing every now and then, right?
If you don't, then why don't you give it a try?

If you liked this video, you may also want to know that there's research out there saying that coffee makes heart and vessel disease (cardiovascular disease) worse because it raises LDL cholesterol, but that’s not the whole story! We now know that LDL particles can either be large and buoyant, or small and dense. When LDL particles are large and buoyant, they can help decrease risk of cardiovascular disease (CVD). And coffee can transition LDL particles from small and dense to large and buoyant, decreasing CVD risk!

I work at a Starbucks, and our drip coffee sucks because most baristas don't stay on top of properly brewing new coffee at the right times; plus our coffee machines aren't all that great to start with. If you actually buy our beans, though, and take it home to grind and brew yourself, we have a lot of really great quality coffees!

@@donotbeyou If you like darker, richer coffee, try the italian roast - it's really good in a french press, but it's very, very oily. I also really like the blonde espresso roast in a french press as brewed coffee. And, of course, the reserves are all great, but very expensive - like $23 for a half-pound bag. The Vietnam Da Lat and the Kenya Barichu are good - the Kenya actually tastes /juicy/, which is not something you would expect from coffee!

Amazing video, gets to the point and explains it in an easy to understand way, but I disagree with the tablespoon part. Tablespoons are inconsistent to different roasts and blends, so what I do is use a scale. When using a scale, I do 23 grams of coffee beans to 350 grams of water for single origins, and 30 grams of coffee beans to 350 grams of water for blends. This develops a more consistent taste than measuring in tablespoons.

There is a caffine diff between the roasts! Dark roast has less caffine than medium roast (because roasted longer, therefore more caffine is lost). Also roasting adds more flavour into the coffee.

    • @OldGameBox

in indonesia that'd be called "kopi tubruk". tubruk, an informal form of "tabrak", which means "clash". so the coffee grounds 'clash' with the hot water. it's pretty much the default method but i loathe it since it takes time before it's really ready to drink and am one impatient kid, lmao.
but it's nice with hella fine grounds, tho. and the taste is defo richer compared to using filters. throughout experimenting with limited tools and resource, the only brewing method that produces a taste that can compete with tubruk imo is french press. but that also take time, and as established, am impatient as h*ck. 🤪

This also filters out the oils so you get a healthier, more clean cup but also that French Press taste. Really nice for every day use. :) If you don't use a paper filter, just drink 1 french press cup a day at most.

Just add the first 1/5of the water together with the ground coffee and let it rest for 45 seconds before adding the rest of the water slowly. I drink tea regularly, and coffee on occasion. Caffeine has a strong effect on me. Sometimes too much of an effect, so I'll be looking for arabica. Nice voice and video. I like cold brew slightly more.

Nice video, liked that. Probally gonna buy a frensh press and have some good coffee. I remember when I once bought a coffee from the automatic coffee devices at the train station. I really didn't expect much from such a device, but the taste of the coffee was suprisingly very good! I really enjoyed the taste and it was the first time I was drinking coffee without sugar. Todays I don't put any sugar into my coffee or tea anymore, but it's still very tasty!

Am a keen Coffee drinker but sometimes i drink tea just for a change.
I have tried almost everything from Arabic, Bosnian, Turkish, to Laotian, Vietnamese, Indonesian - Bali, Toraja, Sumatran and Bandung.
Now am trying homegrown Liberica beans, larger beans than Arabica and Robusta, rare only 2% is planted in the world.

awesome video!! but just to be clear, in case viewers interpret it differently, coffee does not have cholesterol. coffee has other chemicals, cafestol and kahweol, that can affect the way the body metabolizes cholesterol which can lead to elevated cholesterol levels

I know it's not a coffee site, but just a few suggestions: 1. Buy an inexpensive scale that can measure grams. Use 1 gram of coffee per 18 grams of water. I rinse my paper filter with hot water, put in 20 grams of fresh ground coffee, then put the cup, filter, and coffee on the scale. Then I slowly pour in 360 grams of 200° water. 2. Buy whole beans and an inexpensive ($20?) blade grinder. Pre-ground coffee is usually stale. Enjoy!

@Old Game Box, thank you for this video. Interestingly enough, I have used a French Press coffeepot for several years, and happy to report I have no problem with cholesterol.
Although, I do use my percolator more often than my French Press, and looking forward to finally purchasing my very first moka pot, especially before someone tries to (unsuccessfully) take away my Cuban Card!

    • @OldGameBox

Glad to hear that! A lot of people heard what I said as "Oils in coffee give you cholesterol" instead of what I really said. That's my fault though, gotta choose better words next time.
Good luck with the moka pot! It also makes delicious, rich, thick coffee. Good stuff!
