She was a phenomenal singer as a 13 year old, and this performance just illustrates how much one’s vocals improve from childhood to adulthood. I love the gentle restraint as well as how life experience obviously affects Andrea’s interpretation of the lyrics.
I've seen this video many times over the past 20 years and this version of Tomorrow always makes me teary eyed for my childhood in the 70's... She is wonderful...
Judy sang silver lining in the mgm movie and how ironic that Andrea ( poorly cast ) played the young Judy in a TV movie 40 yrs ago . The connection is that only these two women are known for a song they perfectly sang as a child . This arrangement makes your heart swell and Andrea uses her power with restraint except where the volume is most useful for the song . Both Judy and Andrea only take a breath when it least interrupts the flow of a song . Beautifully done and as an adult very moving . She’s a treasure .
LOVE HER! We met after her "Mame" at The Media Theater. Graciously wonderful lady to talk to. Kind. Graceful. Fun. Smart. Beautiful. She's got it ALL in spades.
I just watched the movie "Till the Clouds Roll By" a somewhat true life story of Jerome Kern and he wrote some many fabulous songs, including "Look for The Sliver Lining".....Oh and he also wrote "Life Upon the Wicked Stage" for Showboat.....
i don't understand tacking on the word "official" to the title of this post. What about this clip is "official" over someone else who might post it? What is adding "official" supposed to signify?
Obviously she didn’t intend for it to be the same that’s why she changed the tempo. She’s trying to change it from a song for a little girl to a song for a young adult
Happy/sad 🥲 she brings out both sides simultaneously
I still hear the young girl in that voice and its truly amazing that her voice has not changed at all❤

Just perfection

Andrea is blessed with one of the greatest singing voices of all time--a voice that is both beautiful and powerful.

So classy, one bow and walks off the stage.
An exquisite performance. What a treasure she is…

I love Andrea but when you change the pace of a song like this its just not the same.

I think the point was for it to not be the same.
