My very first 2 cycle project was my grandpas Poulan 2300 cva chainsaw. Yep I got burned on it, long story short I eventually discovered the badly scored piston & cylinder! I’d still like to have a nos top end for it!😂

Would like to see how you get the fuel line through the upper casing.
The fuel line needs to be cut at an angle so some of it easily pushes through. Then just grab that end and pull.
Just replaced fuel lines in a few of my saws that all take the pigtail! They were all leaking where it goes into the tank. I probably could of pulled them up or down some and got more use but i like to do it right! See ya next time!
Another "cheat" that you can use in a pinch is sealing it with a drop or two of super glue.
Nice repair. I have a Husqvarna 350. Leaks bar oil out as fast as you pour it in. Was a great saw.
What does the 45 on the cylinder head mean. ?

Good find, easier to repair. Think it was from ethanol fuel? Hope ya feel better.
No, I don't think it was from ethanol. It was just an old line that cracked at a hard bend coming out of the tank.

Hi Scott. A lot of your repairs seem to be stiff diaphragms and broken/dissolved fuel lines. What's your opinion on alkylat fuels? Here in Sweden most people run their saws on Aspen 2 instead of mixing their own with fuel from the gas station. Is it better or worse for the fuel lines and carbs?
It seems to be better but there isn't any proof behind that statement. Just my gut feeling from observations.
