- In this video we will look at a Husqvarna 395XP chainsaw that won't start due to flooding. We'll fix that and also look at the new SnapOn fluid transfer pump. #smallenginerepair

As always another great video Scott. I learn something that helps me in the shop every time and for a 57 yo rookie that means allot. Cant wait till Saturday on the 1st when i can order the carb stand and some sticker. Take care brother.
Heres a little secret...I include one of the 3" x 5" stickers with every purchase.
@@TheGreasyShopRag that's awesome, I just wanted to make sure I somehow support the channel in one way or the other. Take care
@@drmikeyb1 i appreciate that.
That pump was cool. I never get tired of carb rebuilds. So fun to get things working again.
10-4. Thanks for watching!
I like your video neighbor LATER
Thanks for your channel it helped me flip some chainsaws and made a few dollars but whatever it worked thank you. I am not a repair tech, I use youtube and Google lol
Being a TH-cam mechanic is becoming more and more acceptable. I think its how a lot of young people learn a skill these days.
Muffler bearings get me every time as well Scott. You know if you forgot to tighten them as soon as fire the saw up. 😉 Greta video 👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks for watching!
Hey Scott, Those bolt insulator sleeves are to reduce the conduction of heat from the motor to the carb usually.. Obviously it's not an issue with a rubber intake boot.. Great videos btw..
Huh, that makes sense. Thanks!
Awesome job! Another great repair
Thanks for watching!
These vids are very satisfying.
I'm glad you're enjoying them. Thanks for watching!
I enjoy your repair videos a lot. Not planning on carb repairs myself, just good to know what the service technician is doing to make my equipment run right again. Laaaaaaaaaaater.
Thanks for watching!
I now have a new tool on my wishlist!!!! I see you got a new pan to put your final in also!
New tools rule.
“So far”. Thanks for the laugh. Nice pump. I have a bigger transfer pump for the dirty motors. Thanks for telling your faults, I don’t feel as bad.
We're all human.
Just wild to me such a big saw with a 20in bar! Bet it ripps! Good stuff see ya next time! Oh and yes ive put wrong pump diaphragm in before but like you caught it in time!
Aslong as you catch it you're good to go!
Nice video. You'll wake up the next night wondering if you oiled those muffler bearings before install🙂
I'm happy to report that I slept through the night.
Nice carburetor stand Scott
Thanks!
Sorted that one, Scott 👍🏼. That was a lot of smoke coming out of it when you started it.
Ya it was really flooded!
Don't torque the muffler bearings too tight because you will crack the nylon cage.
Lotta cracked nylon cages these days.
Damn, the carb stand is sold out. Hopefully you get more on there.
They're not sold out. Just checked the ebay store and yours is waiting for you. How did you conclude they were sold out?
@@TheGreasyShopRag Only listed the stickers, so I figured they were gone.
Shows way more now for some reason. I snagged a carb stand, thank you.
Luckily you woke up and remembered the muffler bearing. If those aren't torqued down correctly you'll fry out your muffler belt for sure.
Now I know muffler belts are a real thing. As a youth I used a lot of different muffler belts to keep exhaust components from dragging on the ground.
@@TheGreasyShopRag 😆I didn't have fancy belts, just bailing wire

Lol!
I saw those pumps on the S.O. truck and was tempted, but they advise against using it for anything I'd wanna use it for. It seems a lot less awkward than using one of those drill pumps and a cordless drill. I kinda still want one though
I have to wonder of they experienced problems pumping fuel or if its all just lawyer talk.
👏👏
Thanks for watching!
Another great video always show us cool stuff ❤👍😎

@@cut4fun50 Ya I like new tools. Thanks for watching!
you gotta make sure those muffler bearings are tightened to spec LOL
Yep! Thanks for watching!
I purchased one of those Snap on fluid transfer pumps also the 1st week they were on the truck. My only complaint is the hard hose is too small for hydraulic reservoirs and the big hose is too big.
I think the threads are the same as a garden hose. Shouldn't be hard to find a medium hose or barb fitting.
@@TheGreasyShopRag I believe so, I was going to look the next time I'm at a hardware store.
As weak as Snap-on's impacts are i am surprised it was able to lift a liquid LOL.
The gas looked a little more then standard mix.
I dont get that much smoke with 45 but do with 32
Seems very low use for 08
Must be about one of the first years of the 395 in 2008
.
I looked it up 2001
Ya it was pretty dark but it didn't smell bad. Who knows what ratio or what brand or combination of brands oil he used.
So wuts the part # on that muffler bearing 🤔 ?
It doesn't matter, they're on back order like so many other parts.
Nothing worse than a untorqed muffler bearing ,that's what happend to the challenger space craft😅
That electric screwdriver is on Aliexpress.
Thanks!
There's nothing more embarrassing than returning a tool to a customer with untorqued muffler bearings. 🤣
or a leaky canooter valve.
Won't start coz it aint git no gas in it
Well it did before I pumped it all out with that handy dandy snapon pump.
