- In this video we will look at a Husqvarna 359 chainsaw where the customer complaint is that it won't start. I'll show you how I fixed it and we will also look at low speed carb adjustment in detail. #smallenginerepair

Awesome explanation of carb setting, love it!
Thanks for watching!
Great fix, Scott 👍🏼
Thanks for tuning in!
Excellent Job That Saw Runs Better Than The New One’s 😊😇😀
Those were some nice saws.
My 353 had a leaking condition, first was the tank vent, then the de comp valve bought the farm, so I deleted it with a plug. Replaced the carb and now she’s a runner once again. Later
Good job keeping it going!
Nice repair bud..Good work 👍
Thanks!
It’s good to see you working on the old models I’ve got the brother to that saw the 357 Thank you for another interesting video!
And thank you for tuning in!

Great video Will watch again. Don’t remember if diaghram was bad.
I don't remember either :-)
@@TheGreasyShopRag you were correct about an Husqvarna 445 chainsaw continually peeing oil. I needed a winter project and asked. About problems. Looking good, I’d open and 0 views and comments. Now around 40 views and several comments. Keep it up , great job.
Why does it seem like shop rates are high? So you can keep around someone who knows what they are doing and you don't have to throw a piece of equipment away every time it craps out. Thanks for your work. Laterrr.
Thanks for watching!
Are you using that hero 4. I gave you? The zoom in parts are a little bit fuzzy.
No this footage isn't from that camera. I know the zooms are fuzzy. They are done in editing, not from the camera because I'm allowed to record but not dink around making videos. Besides, I like to keep a little mystery in my videos 🙂
Hey Scott, it's Bruce again. Have you ever come across a clutch drum out of round. On my new 562XP I always noticed that when I do the slide test after tightening my chain. There was a slight resistance in certain spots. Well after doing my year end cleaning for storage. I had the side cover off to verify oil pump was working. I noticed the outside circumference of the clutch drum was slightly out of round. I looked at the brake band and noticed a very slight scrape mark. I have since brought it in for service. They said it could effect crank seals. Didn't realize that it is balanced. Just wondering if you have seen this before, Thanks......Later. lol
I have seen a bad clutch needle bearing make a drum appear out of round. I would ensure the crank isn't bent, the clutch doesn't appear out of round, then check that bearing.
man i need my jonsered converted to 346xp cylinder head fix, i put a new crank seal in and i can still feel like its still sucking air because when i sprayed brake clean on the flywheel it would shut off pretty damn fast.
You need to pressure test it and spray it with soapy water to pinpoint the leak. If it holds pressure then see if it will hold a vacuum.
@TheGreasyShopRag do uou sale a crankshalf sleeve for this chainsaw model? I'm redoing my crank seal installation and I'm going to use the husqvarna seal puller this time. Also if you have the block off plates.
There isn't much difference between the carbs on these small engines, are there?
I guess size and linkage are the biggest differences. Some have built in fuel pumps otherwise most of them are built the same.
0:01 That saw was perfectly fine, it stopped working because you slammed it on the workbench
It came in with the complaint it wouldn't run. It only started AFTER it hit the bench 🙂
@@TheGreasyShopRag Just messing with ya, why you're so serious 😄
@@denisea5951 Its all good. Later.
