CrossCode is absolutely incredible, man, I had it from some bundle on PC back when it was early access and I waited for it to be completed before I played, then finished it in 2-3 sittings (it's quite long, too, so that says something!). Then, I simply HAD to buy a Switch physical copy too, and I did.
Funny enough I haven’t touched my ps5 in months now.. I bought god of war ragnarok and crisis core for the ps5 and I have yet to open them lol. Im addicted to fire emblem three houses right now

Titan Quest and Torchlight II both hold up well on the Switch and can give you another way to scratch the Diablo-like itch. Titan Quest has a different environment than most aRPG being set in Ancient Egypt. I hope all the DLC eventually come out for the switch. Torchlight II is just a great aRPG that really feeds the looting itch.
I have not played Persona 5 strikers yet. The reason being is because I did not think I could appreciate it without playing Persona 5 Royal. I'll be starting Persona 5 Royal soon, so I think it is time I try Persona 5 Strikers.

You deserve a like just for remembering NEO TWEWY. Seriously, one of the greatest JRPG of the generation and like only 5 people played it. Brilliant game.
Switch turned into a JRPG monster like SNES era and I love it. People can complain all they like with it's flaws such as legit severe lack of power compared to other systems, but it's the library of quality games that matter most, which is top-notch fun to play. It's overtook the SNES as my all-time fav system :-)
One action RPG that would be great to come TO the switch would be Half-Minute Hero. It's the perfect bite sized adventure you can pick up and set down at your own leisure with no worry for anything else.
You should make exclusive console lists for each one. Cuz the first half is pretty much on every console. Ooh or you could do the first half as games available on all consoles and then the next half is switch exclusives? :o
Dragon's dogma is an absolutely incredible RPG and I cannot praise it highly enough. You are doing yourself a great disservice by not playing it. I'm on my 4 playthrough on the steam deck alone. I had it on ps3 also and played through at least a dozen times.
I got the new Final Fantasy Crisis Core: Reunion game for Switch as an early Christmas present on 12/17/2022 {Saturday} and I LOVE IT! Also pre-ordered my brand new Sephiroth amiibo at Target for 2023 on 12/18/2022! {Sunday}, a day AFTER I bought Reunion at Best Buy.
Could someone explain to me how Nier and Astral Chain are on this list but Bayonetta isn't? If they class as action RPGs then how come not Bayonetta? I haven't played Bayonetta yet but am genuinely wondering. It seems it's personal interpretation of what counts as an action RPG just like how with Zelda some consider it as one and some don't

I think you confused things here , most of these games are rpg combined with hack and slash, if you want to talk about rpg you have to play fire emblem (not 3 hopes), the atelier game saga, the legend of heroes game saga, disgaea, I mean you are missing many very good rpg games

Warframe saw sooo much of my early ps4 time after the Killzone game turned out to have a good campaign but meh multiplayer. Gotta love ninja sword robots it’s so much fun especially if you go on raids with your buddies.
Monster hunter is a solo game always, but you can involve others if you need to. But to be honest I don't like rise, I put in 7000 hours in world but got out of rise in less than 30

Gamers constantly complain about games being too easy, then you also see them praise Torna's gameplay over XC2's. At least in XC2 you have to actually try to put orbs on.
@@NuiYabuko XC2 could be fun but the blade switch-out system in Torna with their arts added an additional layer of strategy and versatility. Many of the primary XC2 mechanics were refined.

I wanted to do a proper Blade combo, but the AI wouldn't switch to the needed element. Orb stacking just feels greatly trivialized, but it also makes sense for a 10-20 hour game.
Honestly, if it wasn't for the hacking mini game in NieR Automata being so horrible to me, NieR Automata: End of YoRha edition would have been a major competitor for Astral Chain as my favorite game. NieR Automata was such a good game, but that hacking mini game was awful.
I don't think you've played Hades, I mean...it's not on this list and that perplexes me. Maybe you didn't want 3 Supergiant games on the list but you have all 3 Xenoblades here. If you haven't played it, I recommend.
There are just too many good games for the switch. I wan't to get into switch homebrew. But it seems like I'll never have time to play all the games I've purchased.
I can't fully agree with Ni No Kuni 2. The performance isn't the best and the battle doesn't feel smooth most of the time. Better play it on an other console. I never got into the gambits for FFXII. Still need to beat it, but am lost.
Ys Origin is one of my favourites. Ys 8 was one of my biggest disappointments with its useless map. When you realise after a loading screen that you've been dumped in to a totally different place to where was shaowing on the map, you then have to turn back and go straight through another loading screen back to where you were. Again boring characters, some annoying and in general a bit boring. People slam every SAO game, yet Hollow Realisation is way more fun than many on this list. The notoriously bad dialogue is just as bad in some of the games in this list, yet in SAO it gets called useless Japanese nonsense and in these more fashionable games, all of a sudden it's loveable characters and great voice acting. Shining Resonance Refrain smashes the likes of Trials of Mana. Trials of Mana has disastrously boring gameplay and the loading screens OMG. I had to wait ages for a screen to load, that rembled a single screen shot of Flashback on the SNES, walked across said empty screen, just to hit another huge load time at the other end. Can't believe you covered XCDE but didn't mention the OST, Gaur Plains has to be one of the most recognisable tracks from any game in history now. It's up there with Scars of Time and Saria's Song. XC 3 is absolutely dire. Can't believe you put it at number 1. For starters XC X on WiiU looks 10x better and plays way smoother. XC 3 has shocking dialogue, acting and characters. The characters constamtly stutter in frames against scenery, sometime 3, or 4 times naybe more in a minute. I got 25 hours in amd the story did nothing. I was sat there dying for something to get me hooked on the story and instead got a cutscene about food. The Nopons are absolutely infuriatingly annoying. The gameplay is not as much fun as DE, the OST isn't even close. It is imposible to see your character, or enemies in some battles, cos the screen is so cluttered. Hit boxes are appalling. You can be 2 inches on big screen from an enemies feet and it blocks your movement. I'm actually watching your video to find something to trade it in for, as I do not want to waste anymore of my life on it. All they had to do was take the graphics, game world, fluidity and speed of XC X and combine it with the OST and story of XCDE. Instead they did the opposite. I traded in X to get 3 and now I just want X back for my WiiU again. The menu mapped to buttons looks like a great idea on paper but as it speeds up selection I find I'm often just sat holding my dick waiting for my next action. The bosses are almost identical. The game loop is repetitive. Cut scene where nothing happens, kill boss, find supplies. I skipped XB 2 because reviews were absolutely butt licking 3. What a huge dissapointment. DE destroys it in every way and also I have more fun with 2 hours exploring in X than I have in 25 hours with 3. That's saying something as I usually dislike open world exploration. The technical and graphical down grade, 3 iterations on from the WiiU game is just not acceptable and worse when combined with the major flaws in every other aspect of the game too. It's such a struggle to find good games because reviews just seem to ignore completely broken games and speak about them like they're the dingo's danglies. I do like your video but I couldn't object any more to XC 3 being no.1. I had way more fun playing Aqua Kitty UDX. A simple arcade shooter.
FFXII is never an action RPG. It’s MMO-lite like Xenoblade surely? Not a diss, just like pressing an action and making a cup of tea while you’re waiting for it to happen is not exactly Nier.
Zelda not being on here is a crime. Idc if what game’s devs call it, Zelda games are action RPGs. They are also adventure games. They are not mutually exclusive. Now if the creator or devs say something about their game’s lore, I’ll listen.
Bro three hopes was hot garbage. The gameplay was so bad I couldn't get passed the second mission and I deleted it. Three houses was way better. That's why they are going back to the grid tactic for the next title.
Xenoblade 3 sucks... What is in-game money for? What is that bunch of items you collect for? You already start with all the characters, 6, and thanks to that, the gameplay doesn't vary, the game becomes extremely repetitive and boring after hours. The story is flawless until Chapter 5, then it's disjointed and rushed. The character inventory menu is dreadful, organizing 6 characters every time you change classes is massive, not to mention that everything borders on the generic. Special moves that kill any enemy, a hit or two at most, nullify any challenge. Connection to previous games is limited to easter-eggs. It doesn't have an open world, everything is linear and divided into areas, many of which are empty or just money that is useless. Etc.
Theres nothing like the switch i can tell that much, this comes from someone who plays videogames since 1988

Xenoblade 3 sucks... What is in-game money for? What is that bunch of items you collect for? You already start with all the characters, 6, and thanks to that, the gameplay doesn't vary, the game becomes extremely repetitive and boring after hours. The story is flawless until Chapter 5, then it's disjointed and rushed. The character inventory menu is dreadful, organizing 6 characters every time you change classes is massive, not to mention that everything borders on the generic. Special moves that kill any enemy, a hit or two at most, nullify any challenge. Connection to previous games is limited to easter-eggs. It doesn't have an open world, everything is linear and divided into areas, many of which are empty or just money that is useless. Etc.
