Ys Origin is the best Ys. One of my fav games on Switch. One of my fav games ever. I can never understand all the love for Ys 8. The action is very stop start, upgrading is a chew on, map is terrible and the characters annoying. Ys Origin is just so well rounded. Great fun, great bosses, doesn't overstay its welcome, looks nice, OST is quality, overall feel is just there. It all gels in to a very cohesive and complete package. Text based story, so no shitty voice acting ruining it. It is like old school Zelda, less the overworld and more heavy on the action than the puzzles and a touch of platforming thrown in. We're all in to different games in my house but everyone was in to Ys Origin.
