I feel like complaining too much about London, it is an expensive city, we know that. Btw, did you expected a train from London to Brighton without any stops? Not sure how often you had trains like that, typically these are very expensive (Eurostar), Brighton is a small city. One more thing, resting you legs on the opposite seat is not really polite. I used this line to get to the Gatwick airport, a bit pricey but amazing, with air-conditioning and free wi-fi...in case you forgot to mention this...
I think he got muddled up with what a direct train is. That one he got to Brighton was a direct train. If it's indirect, you have to get off the train somewhere along the way and wait for another one to take you to your destination.

Yes, Spitalfields market is quite good even just to look around and not buy anything. I am glad you are going to a more foodie place. You should go to the Cereal Cafe too, if it is still open. It is kind of crazy. You should try Draughts a great board game cafe, many of us don't like just drinking but prefer things to do. In Clapham Common they have a pub called I think the Four Thieves and on top of the pub you can play cars on a race track. It is about 4,00 just to have a go but it is quite fun. Personally I would avoid the pubs you have been to they are expensive, overpriced for what they are and mainly attract white middle class hipsters. I think they are quite generic and uncool. Weatherspoons is much cheaper though and does a good roast. Many of us on a budget prefer going there.
Johnny, if no one has told you about London's "Camden Town" area, that's where you want to go for low prices and great ethnic foods. It ended up being my favorite part of London.
Johnny, the Spitalfields/Brick Lane area is where Jack the Ripper committed his murders. At least one of his victims, all of whom were prostitutes, was last seen in the Ten Bells pub that you showed on the corner across the street from that old church by Spitalfields market. At night, there are lots of Jack the Ripper tours in that area.
Ha I’ve seen in happen twice on my street around Hoxton square so just wanted to warn Johnny to be careful waving his phone around 😂 - it’s usually someone on a bicycle rather than motorbike though.

Best things about London? The pubs, the parks and museums, and something happening every night of the week. Worst things? over-crowded, very expensive if you dont know where to go. Hastings is a lot nicer than Brighton, it is smaller and has more of a fishing village heritage. Brighton Pavilion is very nice. 15 a day is quite expensive. It is a shame you couldn't leave your luggage at that lady's house and collect your stuff later Ahh London Bridge station, that is my neck of the woods. London Bridge station has undergone a whole new refurbishment. It is quite a oool modern station. It is weird you have gone down the same escalator and platform as me. I only watched you when you were miles away in Ukraine and now you are here.

I've personally met and know Women who are on the front lines. Many of them serve as medics, border guards, etc. There are a lot of jobs in the military, not just rush in commandos.
