The monster has always been my favorite motorcycle, but for some reason, it’s one I’ve never owned. I have to admit, I prefer the looks of the trellis framed models, and after looking at the new one in the flesh, I can’t bring myself to trade my R9T in on one. Maybe a test ride would change my mind. Anyway, I like what you’ve done with yours.
Perfectly understandable brother. Based on your current bike, you prefer a certain look to a motorcycle that Ducati very much steered away from for this generation. What you experience with the Monster I had the exact other way around. Go and try it out man! If anything, look into the Monster 1200. I am confident you can find that to be more appealing! Safe travels!
@@motorcycle-manI love the Ducati L-Twin, there is just something about that motor that does it for me. The way it makes power, the noises it makes, I absolutely love it. The BMW boxer motor, while being a great power plant, just just doesn’t have that same effect on me. The sound of that old air cooled two valve Desmodue with a termi exhaust is just magical. But your right, I must secure a demo ride at some point.
@@PaoloCamara No! Just my left button thingy (where the indicator is and such) is turned a bit to the outside to prevent hitting my tank when the steering is all the way to the left so that is something to keep in mind and be careful with.
I read that you also need to drill some holes into the bar and someone suggested bar risers??? I imagine you didn’t use the risers but did you need to drill at all?
I test rode one last year and although I was impressed by its marvelous set-up, I was let down by the engine. I does perform well, but it has almost no feeling or "soul" in it, and the sound is slightly better than my stock MT-07. For me this was unacceptable, since Ducati, for decades now, makes fans based on how the feelings the engine could bring to the rider. Does this improve anyhow with the MIVV exhaust?
@@motorcycle-man You are right... But not only sound. There is a certain feeling when you open the throttle. The engine feels "full". The bike feels "alive". Even on the older 600 cc Monsters. When you open the throttle for example on a new Moto Guzzi V-100 or an Indian FTR1200 you are like "Woooow... This is it, man!". Even if they weight 40-50 kg more. Unfortunately this was not what I got with the new Monster, in any rider mode. And it's the only reason for me not getting this (otherwise marvelous) bike. That's why I am so curious as to wether this improves. Thanks for the answer though!
Nice and clear! Super nice shots and setting, very creative :) Question, is the angle of your phone in this holder enough to automatically rotate apps, such as google maps in landscape mode?
Thanks brother. Sometimes haha. If it doesn't work, I move my handlebar to the steering lock, flip it in landscape and then install it quickly and that works lol.
@@missingrider4551 Drilling will be required and the indicator switch had to be placed at a slight angle in order not to hit the tank in steering lock.🙏
For the people looking for the bars, this product is called the Rizoma Drag bar, not flat bar! Sorry for the confusion!
Shooting monster with anamorphic lens 😍😍😍😍
Absolutely brother💃💃💃✨✨
nice video man , waiting for your next one . Take care 🙏
Thanks brother. It is in the works!
Nice ride.! Great video Bro.. thanks.. 👍💪

Hey buddy, I can't find the 5 things you love video, did you take it down?
Lol sorry brother I will publish it soon!

Hi do you have a link to the flat bars I can’t seem to find them
Sorry, it's called the Rizoma drag bar!
Thanks! Did you make any changes when installing it? Any issues with cable lengths etc from the stock bar?

@@PaoloCamara I did not use risers but I did have to drill holes! Or at least, my mechanic did.

I think what you are mostly looking for when talking about soul, is sound. I found the MIVV to improve it a lot in that regard.

You should have bought the SP
Nah, the MT-09 SP. And to be fair, the Monster SP was released in 2023.

Did you have to upmap with the new exhaust?
Negative! As long as you leave the catalysator for what it is, you won't need to!
Is there anyway to turn off the daytime running light?
There is not brother. At least, no methods supplied by Ducati. You can dim it though, by pressing the DRL button on the right side of the handlebar.
@motorcycle-man thanks. I've been trying to turn mine off

Stock mirrors looks good but totally useless. I change mine to bar end mirrors as well😂
100% useless!!! All I could see was my shoulder!

So basically, the bike is trash, stock, but rideable with mods. Lol
