@toonspooren1437 at the time it I got it for 699$ and bought 512 gb sd card for 30$. With everything with taxes , it would have 775$, but it since I had a 100$ gift card, it went down to 675$.
I see the s8 tab ultra at 799$ right now.
The s9 tab ultra is at 1099$
with student discounts, I can get tab s9 ultra (with free keyboard, watch and buds 2 pro) for about 900. dont know whether to get this or wait 3 months for s10.
Thank you for giving the tabs 8, some love. Most of the youtubers give apple way too much credit and say this tab is a throw-away due to app skilling. They never touch on the things the device can do without the Play Store. Plus, dex is a way the device can last you longer because it works like a chromebook using the brower

It's also incredible how it doesn't drain at all overnight... very quiet. I'm guessing it will be a little bit like Newcastle on European nights

I've had my S8U also since it came out, and I still love it. Works like new. Display is still gorgeous as ever. It's so good that I see no reason upgrading to the S9 or even the S10 that's coming out soon. I love, love, love my S8U

Here's my review of the 16GB/522GB S8 Ultra.
I got the 16GB RAM/512GB SSD S8 Ultra it was $517.59 from Samsung with a Tab S7+ Trade-In. They gave me $600 trade-in credit (my total cost from Samsung for the Tab S7+ was $531). I also got the Book Cover & the Rugged Stand cover free...
The 14.6 Super AMOLED screen is amazing. S-Pen is the best stylus on any platform. Super fast processor. Speakers are fantastic with lots of bass - loud and clear, crisp highs. VERY impressive. The S-pen and it's low latency is spectacular. The super-amoled screen at 120 mHz is hard to tie, let alone beat...
One of the GREATEST features of the Tab S8 Ultra that no one talks about is the 'Second Screen' feature. SuperDisplay a $10 app works really great. The Tab S8 Ultra has basically replaced my Wacom Cintiq as my main Photoshop editing device. It's higher resolution, wireless, lighter, portable, and the S-Pen might be even better... Samsung's built-in 'Second Screen' works OK, but it used to work much better than it does now, I don't know what happened, but hopefully they will update it to work as good as SuperDisplay does.
Plus, the device is awesome all on its own... Literally blown away by how great it is!
The S-Pen is fantastic and FREE in the box. You don't need to add a paper-like screen protector ($40) in addition to the $130 you'll pay extra for the Apple Pencil...
I'm a 30+ year Professional Graphic Artist. When some say that there aren't Professional Visual Arts apps on android it's just really incorrect, because I use them everyday. Autodesk Sketchbook, Infinite Painter, Concepts, Krita are just a few of the apps available on the Google Play store... There are many more... Are there a few apps available on iPad that aren't on the Play store? Yes, of course, but a good carpenter never blames his tools, and with expertise and talent you can do anything and everything on android apps that you can do on iOS apps - NO DOUBT.
If you're already entrenched in the Apple 'eco-system'... Then pay the extra $500 to $1500... But guess what, the Tab S8 Ultra supports HDR10+ and has a 120Hz refresh rate, so your covered.

I've had the S8U since day one, it's been in my travel bag everyday using Gamepass and Playstation remote play is clutch for the device.

Didn't know you shot these on the S23 Ultra, was a nice surprise and a great showcase of the ultras cameras.

I’m a student who relies on digital note making while simultaneously watching classes online. I’m inclined towards s9 ultra over iPad Pro. I’m just concerned about how the snapdragon 8gen2 ages compared to the m2 pro. Any suggestions please?

Hey mate really enjoying your channel and great to see an aussie presenter on here (Brisbane lad myself) I have been looking at the S9 Ultra but just found a good deal on the S8 Ultra and keyboard, do you think I am crazy getting it or would you wait and get the S9 Ultra? Just does not seem to be a huge difference that I will notice anyway. I am a tech gadget man myself. Keep up the good work your very easy to listen too.

Honestly, the Tab S8 Ultra has been optimised really well, if you've found a good deal with the keyboard cover included I would go for it.
I do have an s9 ultra coming and will be doing a comparison for a few key things and usage scenarios.
What are you looking at using it for mainly?
@@techwithbenefits Hi mate I play few games and dabble with pics and stuff with my work nothing to fancy and also use Dex I had an old S6 which I loved and now laptop but prefer the tab experience so want to go back to one, I had almost placed my pre order for a S9 but have been thinking about the S8 for a while getting a bit cheaper I am still wondering about size too S8 plus and Ultra both are inviting price wise atm.

Quick question: Does the device get hot when you use it to write? I have experienced this with S7+ with just a few min of writing making it almost unusable.
I never noticed any heat with Tab S8 Ultra! I do know that Samsung underclocked the 8 Gen1 processor to help with heat management.
The Tab S9 Ultra adds in extra cooling so it doesn't sacrifice performance!

I know this isn't for the phones, but I want a question answered and I can never find it online anywhere. My girlfriend has an iPhone 14 pro max, and I have an s22 ultra. I've noticed that her apps especially social media ones like tiktok use the whole screen all the way to the top, around the dynamic island (meaning it's using all the pixles to show content). My s22 always has the black notification bar on these apps active so the whole screen isn't being used. It's bothering me because when I watch TH-cam in full screen it does use the whole screen, the hole punch is the only part blackened. Is there a way to customize my notification bar to show content like TH-cam full screen does? My settings to hide camera or show it does not do it for all apps. Thanks!
Settings - Display - Camera cutout
Select all the apps you want to "show camera" to have them "wrap around" the camera. Is there a particular app you do this for that doesn't work?
Is the Book Cover Keyboard hinge still holdup? I'm thinking between S9+ or S9 ultra so thank you for long review
The hinge has been SOLID. And the magnet strength to hold the cover to the back of the tablet makes me think it's glued on lol

Im starting school soon and eyeing the s8+ 5g from T-Mobile. Do you know if the chip used is different than regular s8+?

The biggest issue with the taskbar vs. DeX is that app windows don't minimize to the taskbar like they do in DeX. It makes for a disjointed UI that falls apart quite quickly. For this reason I really want DeX on my Fold.
That's a solid point. What I'd love is a more dynamic Taskbar option. At least with more recent apps along the bottom 👀 (maybe might see it soon?)
@@techwithbenefits OneUI 5.1.1 beta has up to 4 recent apps in the taskbar which will help a bit, but still doesn't address the issue of pop up windows not minimizing to the taskbar like they do in DeX.
Anybody know if this or new s9's support 4k externals, either in standard or DEX?
From what I remember its limited to 1080p but can handle 4k bitrate on streams via the codec.
looking for nice size to use for tiktop viewing? which is better? S8 plus or S8 Ultra? currently have Mipad Pro 11inch, want to upgrade to bigger size. That tablet is for media consumption only as already have 14inch Macbook Pro
If it's just tik tok I would say the S8+ will be perfect, if not preferred. But if you are wanting extra screen real estate for movies and TV shows...go with the Ultra.

If ur using it as a tablet honestly get a s9, it's enough and easier to hold! I am my hands barely reach across the screen. I like the super ammoled instead of dynamic, seems to offshoot. If ur getting aultra get a mount. I have the s7+ and after comparing them in person no point of it unless u want another monitor.

I make TH-cam content and when I travel, especially when I'm on a plane or on a layover, I use my tablet to work on so the bigger screen will be great. For my main monitor I use the Samsung M8 Smart Monitor but I also currently use my Tab S7+ to power an external monitor
When you are rich you have 2 earphones for all 4 ears, 2 phones (one for each eye ofc) 2 watches (one per hand ofc) one tablet and one laptop (also why do you need fold 3 if you have s23 ultra, and why do you need fold 5 if you have fold 3 and s23 ultra?
@@ritwikgossain I like the Folds but I also like traditional phones so I like to switch between them. Also, when I'm going somewhere that I'm going to record video and take pics, the S23ULTRA is a better option because it has better cameras. Plus I use the 23Ultra to record my TH-cam content.
I'm upgrading from the Fold 3 to the Fold 5 because of the good trade in value. I'm definitely not rich. I just like gadgets

How does samsung laptop fit in the "ecosystem"... Can it be compared to apple? I know MS made a lot with PC/smartphone connection/integration, and samsung did too, but how much additional software is needed and how does it integrate, is it seamless or are there multiple stages of configuration/debugging before it works, and does it work 100& out-of-the-box?

I use my Tab S8 Ultra to record the audio for my TH-cam channel (i plug in an external mic via USB - C), so it can definitely support audio recording as long as the app you wish to record with is available.
For the other stuff you are doing it is plenty powerful. Great drawing apps on there as well, including one called PenUp which is a native samsung drawing app that's pretty cool.
Do a dedicated Gaming on tab S8 Video 🙏🏻
I would think Samsung notes is a lifesaver for you guys. It offers so much more than keep notes from Google
I am hoping you are able to answer my question. I am a data analyst. More specifically I am a geospatial data analyst. To do my job I use some tools that require me to work in a Windows environment and on some pretty beefy machines. It is because of this I have not purchased a Tab S 8, and now 9, Ultra. This past year however I have been working on a Windows 11 Virtual Machine. It all of a sudden dawned on me… Could I just run a Virtual Machine on the Tab S9 Ultra? I could literally have the best of both worlds. I could run a full-blown desktop version of Excel, SQL Server, QGIS, NODE, Python, etc on the Virtual Machine and then have all my media content experience on the Android tablet. Do you think this would work? What would the down sides be?
You absolutely can run virtual desktops on the Tab S9 Ultra! Depending on the platform you use to run virtual machines, but there are many that are available.
The drawbacks would only come from what accessories you decide to pair it with (keyboard for example).
But yes, you absolutely could have that set up, and as a media device there is none better than the Tab S9 Ultra!

The tablet s9 ultra looks alot brighter than the s8 ultra and does the s8 ultra over heating issues
I have the tab s8 ultra with 16gb of ram and 512gb internal storage and that thing is faster than my s22 ultra.
I love my S8 Ultra. I’ve got fingers crossed for the S9 Ultra to have LTE built in. That’s the only missing feature in my opinion.
My Tab S8 Ultra has 5G & LTE. Did you only get the WiFi version?

Owning an ultra phone AND ultra tablet seems like a tremendous waste, anyone making a battery powered touchscreen that can function as a dex screen/tablet for your ultra phone? Battery powered and minimal onboard processing would be the killer feature
I'd by an s8 sized.portabke battery powered screen with pushbutton dex automation every phone upgrade if they made one for $250

@techwithbenefits tethered is a nonstarter. When are you using your tablet s8 ultra and your phone is not on the same network in the same room, likely never? You should be able to reach for your (not) tablet and dex instantly auto-connect from your phone and you can roam your surroundings
Samsung DeX for PC can be wireless. So you can have DeX connected to your laptop and roam around with your phone.
They could've fitted a 14000mAh battery. They could seal the air gap in the display, which wouldn't make this reflective and look cheap.
The battery was still a beast and still better than almost all of the ipads
@@yazouruaim694 na id say its trash battery and under heavy use struggles to get 7 hours if screen on time the iPads can easily go 12-18 hours of heavy use screen of time, they could sell the air gap between the display and the AMOLED tech which would give us the more premium looking display and a thicker battery instead, their is a 1mm gap, which using the spen I can feel the glass pressing down a little and it defeats the purpose of AMOLED and makes it look LCD.
@@Shan_Shah I am 100% sure that you're lying bro, how can you even get 18 hours of SOT in an ipad that gets beat up by Samsung 8 series that can only reach 10 hours sot in a battery test? And btw the highest SOT that I've seen in an Ipad is just barely reaching 9 hours sot.
