Samson Q2U is a great option. The Yeti Nano just doesn't sound great on most podcasts. Far too sensitive for most podcaster's recording environments. I appreciate that it's easy to get started with for two people.
Thanks for the walkthrough on mics. Going to give #3 a try. Seems like it will be good for doing voiceover for my adventure travel/off-road video stuff.
I turned this video on and hoped that you’d name the mic I already had and I was happy to see that number 3 is what I have, which is the Yeti! I have a different version of it so I’m going to check to make sure it has all of the features that you mentioned. Thank you!
I believe, qualitywise, the AT2020 is a better option. I own one (non USB ) and I use it to record guitar and vocals as well. Very nice quality for the price.
Thanks for this! If I were to start a podcast of roundtables of 4 people, would you recommend 4 mics like this or could I use tie/lapel mics instead? Thanks!
Hey Jose, with most USB mics, you should be able to just get a different cord that has USB-C on the other end. For example, my Yeti Nano has a USB Micro plug on the mic itself, and I just found a USB Micro to USB-C cable for $8 USD on Amazon.
I use a small microphone and I can say its working
Nice! Use what you have, upgrade if/when you need to 👍
