I knew I wasn't alone on this, Riverside is cool and a future investment to the industry of podcasting but there was such a beauty in the simplicity of recording, adding backgorund noise then uploading, now its like you HAVE to go through a sceince project to record.
Most of the content involves remote guests. I assume this would still be a beneficial tool to use for in-person interviews. My podcast will be a mix of both formats.
Does riverside send reminders to designated social media acounts for an upcoming live stream? Thank you! Terrific riverside finally got 1080p for live streaming!
@@Riversidefm took riverside a long, very long time ot even offer 1080p for live streaming, and they are way behind others in connecting destiantions for live streaming, like a long ways behind, and having to use rtmp when others have direct integrations/connections. Sad.. So RS will still be ignored for me...
@@Riversidefm thus why still choosing not to use riverside. took forever to get 1080p for live streaming, and no direct connections ot destinations like other platforms have had for years... might be great for editing, though for live streaming, so behind easy of use and quality

Battling my 'doing too much research' self between going with Riverside or Descript (with Squadcast). The recording (all remote) is a big one for me (audio only at the moment) but so is the editing (which I'm currently using Garageband for). I'm finding apparently that Riverside is great for recording primarily but lagging behind Descript when it comes to editing (ie: text editing/adding filler words etc) HELP!
This is all so ridiculous. I’m trying to invite someone and it doesn’t even work. Literally forced to use a new platform with all the old stuff thrown away. So selfish by these companies. They just want more money
So do we record a podcast episode all in one take or do we record takes or segments to them combine them all together? This is the step that confuses me the most! I record the episode in one take because I don't know how to record in segments or takes, its confusing
Man I’ve not had such an easy experience with riverside or detail both apps for ai recording need help and now the river side app won’t work and won’t let me make a studio to record and invite someone why am I paying for this bad experience to ultimately end up editing in iMovie lmao
I had a similar experience and it turned out that the upgrades Riverside has made require a more powerful computer than pre upgrade versions and my old computer could not keep up. That may not be your issue, but then again, it might be.
it is really sad how you platform has been losing quality and has been presenting issues with the recordings, I have had three major guests in my podcast and the recordings have been awful. I communicate with customer service and each time is something new on my side. I paid for a year subscription and I lately I regret That I did. Please look into solving those problems
My last virtual recording interview the guest’s audio/ video was off by about a second. Is there a way for me to download it, sync their audio properly then upload it back to be able to edit in riverside? I’d like to be able to edit the 2 tracks normally in riverside
Yes! You can sync externally and then use the upload button on your dashboard to upload the episode to riverside. You ca. also reach out to support for help syncing the tracks!
@@Riversidefm that’s not working, only one speakers audio is off. They are separate tracks, when I sync and re upload, there is no way to have them put together as a mixed track as they were without me cutting 1000 times. If I have to do that I’m better off doing it all externally. Pretty frustrating that it’s gonna take 3times as long as it should have. I thought external recording was supposed to fix these types of issues and such.
Helpful. Thank you. One bit of input... please lower your background music as it competes with you, your voice, and your content. We didn't come here to here beats, but to learn. The music is very annoying and distracting and would normally be a reason for me to not continue watching. Please lower it, so we can enjoy your excellent videos.
You can do that in the editor! Cut out half of the episode on the timeline > export. Then go back into the original recording and cut out the opposite half of the episode > export
Of course it's ''FREE'' until you reach your 2 hour mark for recording 2 separate tracks then it wants you to pay. All we ask is to have an actual FREE version to record multiple tracks its bogus
This is misleading marketing. Such videos cannot be published and I hope you will remove it. Now people buy a Pro subscription to get the features showed here, but they don't even exist yet! 😠

This is all very new for old Anchor podcasters. Being forced into this is all very scary
It's also really sad for us that the music under podcast is available only for paid plan.
