*UPDATE:* a lot of you wanted a longer and slower version of this class, and I've just uploaded it! check it out here: th-cam.com/video/9DRRyZLso4o/w-d-xo.html
Finally got my period after nearly a year of missing it (due to weight loss), this was such a calming way to be proud of myself for how far I’ve come. Thank you so much for this
well i have not weighed myself but i’ve been working on my body for the past few weeks, and today i got my period a few days late. that has never happened before, i’m always on time. i am proud of myself and of you as well. good job
i got my period yesterday and i felt as though it ruined my planned week of workouts. today i decided i'd change it up to accommodate me rather than push myself. this was perfect. it was the perfect amount of gentle for my second day (which is always my heaviest). thank you olive! i'm planning on doing more of your routines this week! 💗you are truly a blessed individual
I third that! I am on day 3 and I’m an extremely emotional menstruator. (I suffer with bpd). Not even 5 minutes in I began to bawl my eyes out. Sometimes it’s easy for women to forget to take a moment to stop and appreciate themselves
hello Olive, i love your movement! it was really helpfull and relaxing! the only sad thing for me was that you was changing too fast for me. i had need this sequenze for 30 minutes :D but thank you so much! ilove this .
thank you and I’m glad it was! only changing fast because a lot of people said they wanted a short 15-20 min video - will think about doing a longer one in the future!
Hello Olive! Loved the sequence of movements here in this practice. I suggest longer holds and a much slower paced flow next time so we can really feel each pose and dive into it a bit deeper. I find that slower yoga flows or even yin yoga flows work best for my menstrual phase
Im not even on my period yet, it starts here in a few days and I always find that my period symptoms are the worst a week before my cycle and the first couple days of my period. This helped so much with the stiffness in my body and even my nausea! thank you is much for this!
This was so lovely and really helped me relax and reset into my body (especially when I feel like I'm at war with it during my flow). This helped the pain and discomfort a ton. Thank you so much
I'm a person who lovessss physical exercise, especially weights, but when I'm on my period all I want to do is gentle movements to keep me flowing and help my digestive system. This was just beautiful, your voice is so calming and we have the same name :)

I don’t know what to say besides thank you Olive!!! I got my period just now after following your yoga last night. I am truly hopeless for a week, pregnancy scare is the worst😩 you girls will get your period very soon! Keep on believing your body.

Gender neutral period yoga. That was exactly what I needed today. My ferret even laid with me to check what I was doing :)) Sending lots of love Olive, you're doing amazing job 💖
thank you so much !!! I always had a very heavy flow so it was really annoying to deal with at school . But when I heard that yoga can help with period cramps I decided to try it . Im so glad that I clicked on your video .Thanks to you my period flow is much lighter now and my menstruation only lasts for 5 days or so (it used to be 7-8 days)
I really liked this flow, but I wish it was slowed down just a bit. Your voice is so easy to listen to and follow. Thank you for this period practice. ❤
Perfect timing for the morning of the first day of my period, I felt so much better after this! Thank you ☺️💛 also your voice is so calming I could literally listen to this to help me fall asleep
Doing this in the morning has helped relieve my pain. I always wake up with sore and swollen joints due to my monthly, and this has made me feel relief! I love this and will start doing this from now on
This was perfect for my period. I don't have cramps or heavy bleedings. My periods are not at all unpleasant. Most TH-cam yoga videos focus on cramp relief. I just wanted something gentle and aware and you brought just that. I will definitely return to this video and I will use the poses in my practice as well. Thank you
Morning! I really liked the series of poses. But I found them to progress way to quickly. I had a hard time keeping up, while I was looking for a relaxing calming body loving flow. Thank you.
Hi thank you much needed that today cause I am in my cycle so much appreciated it dear I was feeling low every this morning and a little bit emotional 🥹 but yeah this practice saved my day
This actual turned my day around. I came across this video today and although moving was the last thing I felt like doing, I am so glad and grateful I did. Thank you!!
Doing this on day one of the first period I've had in 2.5 years due to pregnancy & breastfeeding! This felt like a great way to get grounded & connect with my body as "my own" again.
What a lovely practice, I could fully enjoy it. For me personally, it was a little bit too fast. I like more repititions and slower movements and more time to do everything. Still, I could connect wonderfully with my body. Im having one of the worst days ever depanding cramps today, and this act of selflove helped to come back to myself. One correction: You said in the video "When Im on my cycle" - a woman is always on her cycle. Just so that maybe other people with less education in that topic dont get confused
With all due respect, I think pretty much everyone knows that a cycle is by definition continuous. It's merely a turn of phrase that doesn't necessarily correspond to literal correctness. The Moon, for instance, may at times be a "crescent" in common parlance, but we all know that the moon is always a sphere and doesn't literally turn into a crescent. That's just one example. Language can be figurative at times, thank goodness! Some people don't have time to exhaust themselves recorrecting to unnecessary, painful and uncomfortable precision- when their personal verbal expression tends more towards the inexact and the evocative. Give them a break. It would be different if this were a different context, but it's a yoga video! Also, you can slow playback speed. That's what I do when yoga videos are too fast.
i feel as though this is exclusive to trans people and non binary people and people who are gender non conforming; & overall everybody who has a period and isn’t a woman.
17 you're absolutely right! Wasn't somehow thinking of that in this moment?? :o @andrea and yes, little things do matter! You would be surprised how many people that have a cycle don't know anything about it :s
@@hemmyhardingfela Okay, have it your way, that's your way of seeing things and it doesn't necessarily need to cause me pain... couldn't be easy on you or your relationships, tho.
Thank you for this! It would be great to have a version of this video with the same poses but longer! I found myself pausing the video as you described each pose so I could enjoy them, it was quite fast otherwise.
Hey this helped a lot after a night cut short by horrid cramps ! Thank you! Wanted to congratulate you on choosing drony/ambient music as an audio background it was perfect! So many great yoga videos get ruined for me because of the music choices that quickly become too distracting. This was the ideal balance to keep my attention without actually being too noticeable and taking away from the introspective moment :)
Thank you so much for this! I always get debilitating lower back pain on my cycle and this helped distract me from the pain whilst \i waited for the pain meds to kick in. Such a nice way to calm down and relax.
This made me feel amazing! Thank you for putting this out into the world, I was so glad to reconnect with my body at a time when I feel so disconnected.

When I got started, I realized you had incorporated some of the ones I was doing on my own. I said she gets it!!! I thank you!! This is going in my playlist ❤🙏🏽
It was a great calming practice, maybe a little too fast or with too many poses for only 15 min. However, it gave me ideas of poses that made me feel lighter during my period. Thank you very much
this is just amazing, i always had so much pain during period time and this calmed them, girls, i recommend you to drink ginger infusion, drink a lot of that, it helps you too for the cramps, thank you so much Olive💚
I have PMDD and chronic, which give me terrible periods. Some flows have scared me away from yoga on my period, but this made me feel amazing and gave me power. Thank you for the healing!

Hi Olive! I just discovered your channel for the first time yesterday, and this sequence will be on every month! I usually don't rest so much during my period, but it feels SO good to do so. I love your style and can't wait to discover more of your channel!
I really enjoyed this. I feel I needed a little more time to sit in each asana and really get the oxygen and blood flow to each area. Thank you so much Olive 🌈
I come back to this practice every month during my bleed and it brings me immense relief. Thank you so much for sharing! I see there is an extended version now, I’ll look forward to visiting that one, as well. 🤍
This lecture was great! It was a bit quick in the transitions for me but I saw that you already did a slower version:) Thanks for your work, your voice and words are affirmating and calming❤
Thank you for sharing this practice 🌙✨️🩸This video has supported me so much during my moon. I didn't realize how much my body needed this kind of movement.
Idk why but as i started stretching my left leg and rolling.. etc i cried the whole process while following ur instructions😅 i must say that felt so good.. the pain is acceptable now. Thank you again

first day bleeding, and I LOVE this yoga class love the way you guided, the background music, and only feedback the exercise were way too fast but I understand in 15 minutes of practice .. even though love it I just stay more time in each position
Thank you! This was beautiful. I would love a yin version of this. Something a little slower paced. I was struggling to keep up lol and decided to just skip a few.
Omg this was amazing!!! I still try to do some type of exercise during my period and sometimes I need something gentle like this. Thank you so much, it was perfect!!!
Lovely practice . A lit bit faster than I've expected. I needed more time to stay and change from asana to the other, especially now. But overall a really good one . Thank you for sharing . Namaste 🙏
Dear Olive, such nice poses for the special time of the month. For me, it’s just been too short in every single pose. Once I was in, it was only one breath and you moved on. More time would be great, for example 5 breaths in every pose. Thank you 🙏🏼
Your voice is surreal. I'd always wanted to try yoga but I was too intimidated to begin. Found this today, and while the flow is freeing, your voice, is beautiful, it's what made me want to try this out in the first place. Sending best wishes your way. Thank you for being you. :")
You have such a beautiful voice and I really appreciate you sharing this practice!!! My only comment would be that the transitions felt a bit fast and the poses not long enough. Thank you again.
I woke up so crampy, was about to skip yoga for today when I found this. It eased my cramping, and made my body feel great. Just subscribed 😊 Looking forward to doing more yoga with your videos

Hej Olive. Thanks for your Video. I Love your Voice, it‘s very heartwarming and i cant wait To See more of your videos. I Would Need a Little Bit More time in the pose and in between. Just felt like beeing in a Rush at some Time. Maybe its also because i am not a native speaker. Lot‘s of Love from Germany
Glad you enjoyed it! Yeah quite a few people said that - I was under a bit of pressure because of the time so maybe in the future I’d do a longer version!
Thanks for this! I almost never tried yoga during the period, but today it was really a new experience, trying your flow out. especially in the beginning I had an overwhelmingly beautiful feeling in the body! at 7:50 I didnt manage to get my shoulder to the ground, but maybe it will develop it I do it more often. The only thing I found a bit sad, was that the whole tutorial is so fast. I wonder why so many yoga tutorials happen so fast, that there is barely any moment to take a deep breath in between. As I have to look at it first and then imitate, it got a bit stressful for me. but apart from that, you create a nice atmosphere :)

@@fictionaliv9782 yay i’m glad!!!
Really nice short yoga session for the menstruation, for me a little bit fast switching from poses :) But thanks a lot, it was nice! have a nice day
Playing at 0.75 speed was perfect for me!
this was so gentle and a token of kindness to my body on my first day of an unexpected period. Thank you!
🥹🥹 i’m so so glad to hear it
first day bleeding, and I LOVE this yoga class love the way you guided, the background music, and only feedback the exercise were way too fast but I understand in 15 minutes of practice .. even though love it I just stay more time in each position
thank u for letting me know! you could reduce the playback speed or i have a longer and slower version on my channel too!!
Thank you! This was beautiful. I would love a yin version of this. Something a little slower paced. I was struggling to keep up lol and decided to just skip a few.
Pleasure! im not actually trained in yin yet so I’m not comfortable teaching it, but hopefully in the future!
It works! I immediately stop feeling the pain after the 3rd exercise!

Omg this was amazing!!! I still try to do some type of exercise during my period and sometimes I need something gentle like this. Thank you so much, it was perfect!!!
omg thank you so so much i’m so happy you enjoyed!
Such a beautiful practice! It helped me feel like my period is sacred time for me and my body. Thank you ❤️
ugggggh we love that! yes yes yes to this! 🤍
This video helped me a lot 🫶🏻. Thank you! You are very sympathetic ❤
@@BarboraKroufkova you are so so welcome i’m so happy you found it helpful 💕
Lovely practice . A lit bit faster than I've expected. I needed more time to stay and change from asana to the other, especially now. But overall a really good one . Thank you for sharing . Namaste 🙏
i have a slower one on my channel!
Lovely, look forward to trying the longer version tomorrow. Thank you!
hope you enjoy!
Dear Olive, such nice poses for the special time of the month. For me, it’s just been too short in every single pose. Once I was in, it was only one breath and you moved on. More time would be great, for example 5 breaths in every pose. Thank you 🙏🏼
i have a slower version uploaded with some slightly different poses! thanks for letting me know!
Truly so relaxing and beautiful thank you!
@@sistergypsyy you are so welcome!! 💕
This was perfect, just what I needed and your gentle voice was a plus. Thank you!
eeeep thank you!
This actually helped me relieve so much of my back pain!! 😭😭
omg i’m so glad!
Your voice is surreal. I'd always wanted to try yoga but I was too intimidated to begin. Found this today, and while the flow is freeing, your voice, is beautiful, it's what made me want to try this out in the first place. Sending best wishes your way. Thank you for being you. :")
omfg thank you so much!! that means so much and i’m glad you found a practice for you!!
This is so beautiful, thank you so much 🙏
you’re welcome!!
You have such a beautiful voice and I really appreciate you sharing this practice!!! My only comment would be that the transitions felt a bit fast and the poses not long enough. Thank you again.
oh thank you! and noted - there is a slower version i have on my channel!
I woke up so crampy, was about to skip yoga for today when I found this. It eased my cramping, and made my body feel great. Just subscribed 😊 Looking forward to doing more yoga with your videos
aaa i’m glad to hear it helped you out!!!

This helped me after having a day full of mood swings, gymming and cramps.

Just wanted to hold the poses a bit longer .... Loved all the poses ...thank you
Amazing thank you so much I really enjoyed this short practice
thank you!!!
That was so nice! I feel great after this practice ☺️ thank you!
yay thank you i’m so happy you enjoyed it!
As I have to look at it first and then imitate, it got a bit stressful for me.
but apart from that, you create a nice atmosphere :)
thank you!!! it’s hard sometimes because i want to be able to fit a lot in within a short space of time! i did a slower one on my channel too :)
