    Why does everyone think Daniels is a stud? He has the exact same profile (albeit much smaller) as Justin Fields. Issues with processing, throwing over the middle, and keeping his eyes downfield. Those are traits you need to succeed in the NFL.

    • @filmjunkie-97
      @filmjunkie-97 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Main difference between him and fields is the release and mechanics coming out. Im not a huge Fields guy or Daniels guy but I like Daniels a lot more. Simply from the mechanical aspect and release aspect. Fields has one of the slowest releases I’ve ever seen and he wasn’t mechanically good which could effect his control on the ball. Daniels has a weaker arm but he has a much quicker release and better mechanics

    • @IamDevron
      @IamDevron หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      He is honestly nothing like fields, not sure where that’s coming from. Fields has a rocket arm where as Daniels is a lot weaker. Both extremely athletic but Fields isn’t quite as dynamic in space. Also not sure where you’re getting this lack of processing from. Outside of Caleb I don’t think that’s a super strong spot for anyone in the class

    Great conversation. I like Bo Nix a lot more than what I hear all of the NFL analysts comment. Minshew is a solid QB2 but I don't get how Nix compares to Minshew as Nix's ceiling in the NFL or why Nix wouldn't be able to step in and lead an offense in the NFL day 1. He comes across as intelligent and capable. He's got a lot of tools to start day 1 and imo has a highest floor of any of the top six guys.

I'm not a scout but as a Raider fan having to watch Jimmy G throw the ball close to the LOS every week last year drove me crazy i'd rather someone like Penix who makes you defend the entire field at least. I don't think the Raiders are picking Penix or Nix at 13 but if they do no one will be pulling for them more than me.

      Nix has plenty of arm strength especially if he's taught to start using his legs more to generate power.
      I agree that Jimmy G was a bad signing for the Raiders. Comparing Jimmy G to Nix isn't fair though. Jimmy can't throw the ball. That isn't a limitation of Nix who has a good arm.

I keep seeing negative stuff about Nix and a lot of scouts have Rattler with the same grade I honestly don't care who we draft as long as he has a shot to start. If I had to pick one I don't see any QBs at 13 that have enough value but my gut tells me Penix if he's there at 44 or Rattler if he's there at 77. What round do you see Nix being drafted in?

    One hand vs 2 seems trivial, but I bet the shift is significant. Two hands might change your posture, tension in your body, limit your speed and quickness. I'd like to hear more about working out bad habits and how likely techniques can change. How do you get to this level and need to improve basic technique (how do you get past high school like that)? Do coaches just put up with it, thinking that nagging the QB might drive him to the portal? If you are a college QB, and you know scouts want to see good footwork, hip position, arm angle, why would you not perfect your craft? It affects your bottom line.

    • @BloodySoup74
      @BloodySoup74 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It's not affecting Caleb's bottom line. He's got all the tools but you are right. Teaching what they should be doing could hinder their natural ability. They should know better but the game is fast and their mind is all over the place so they need to do what they do naturally. The lower tier QBs then yes you gotta teach them out of stupidity.

He has the worst pressure to sack conversion rate of all the quarterbacks in this class and that even looks better than the reality because there's another 5-10 plays per game where he runs for no gain or 1 yard that count in the positive side of that ratio. Never mind, along with that terrible conversion rate he invites pressure constantly where he doesn't need it because he won't throw the open route trying to get a home run every play.
