Congrats Morgan! I'm 2.5 years sober from alcohol, 6 months from drugs. May 1st 2025 will be my third year sober from alcohol. Never drinking another day nor looking back. I saw how it effected both sides of my family growing up and lead to my parent's divorce and abuse growing up.
Listening to Trump talk about his brother's alcoholism and Theo's perspectives on recovery was really humbling. Trump even says "I don't drink, but I could see myself being the kind of guy who might have a problem with it if I did" That's some pure honesty. Respect.

The fact that Theo says he's sorry for asking those things about his brother, like he's genuinely interested in meeting the guy under the blue blazer, but doesn't mean to grill him, speaks volumes as to how he is as a person. And Trump's response couldn't have been more perfect, he reels back, like getting comfortable in that position and retorts something akin to: "It's important to talk about it because if it helps JUST ONE person it would've already been worth it". Three things to remember: Never talk about drugs in the clinic. Never mix methadone with other stuff, it's your last stop! Never entertain conversations with anyone about when you are going to get off of methadone. Bring it up with yourself once a year and weigh the pros and cons. Never forget where you came from.

In some bizarre way, this might be the best Trump interview I’ve ever seen. The amount of curiosity he showed to Theo is proof that this man is no narcissist. No doubt I do not like Trump, but this is a clear example of his humility and ability to care about others. I may not agree with how he gets there, but wow this man really does want to make America great again. I think the assassination attempt really humbled him further and has encouraged him to set forth a legacy he would’ve never dreamed of before the attempt. I think if RFK threw in the towel for Trump, there were some serious heart or heart that shows Trump truly wants what’s best for us. We may not like the how, and wish things could be different, but the man’s goals for our country are courageous.

In case anyone is too young to remember, our healthcare system is Hillary Clinton’s doing. Getting employers and providers to contract directly with insurance companies instead direct to consumer not only ballooned administrative costs and separated the customer from knowing real costs, the contracts prevent providers from offering a reduced cash price while incentivizing charging insurance the highest prices possible in order to recoup max payments, even on cheaper services to cover losses. Since the 90s real care costs have hardly budged. The cost of every “affordable healthcare” presidency is unlimited, apparently. Please don’t lose Hillarycare down the memory hole!

The fact that Theo says he's sorry for asking those things about his brother, like he's genuinely interested in meeting the guy under the blue blazer, but doesn't mean to grill him, speaks volumes as to how he is as a person. And Trump's response couldn't have been more perfect, he reels back, like getting comfortable in that position and retorts something akin to:
"It's important to talk about it because if it helps JUST ONE person it would've already been worth it". What a humane response, ha! This is the same Trump that the democrat coopted media seeks to vilify. For too long the cabal running the country wouldn't talk about certain things, treat everything as new tabooes.
But having people in a room, sharing their suffering and the suffering of those around them due to drugs, is awesome. Empowering even to a lot of folks. God bless 'em.

That was one of the best moments of this episode. I appreciate how Trump didn't hesitate to give a frank answer about it as well. It's what we all know deep down, and it's conversations like these that get the problem out front to deal with. This is the most normal conversation I've seen Trump ever have. Props to Theo for just being himself and talking casually. We've all heard the Trump talking points already so this was cool to see him talk about alcohol and his brothers and stuff.
I said this within the first 10 minutes. Then comes the politics and deceitful statements.
Trump has always been super chill. The media has just painted a bad picture of him

Honestly as someone whose been in a small group setting with the man, he is EXTREMELY chill, charismatic, he throws zingers and laughs. Hes a good dude. A real dude.
Theo is unapologetically himself in every interview. So authentic. He interviews people of all echelons, no echo chambers, just finds common ground and has a good time with every guest.

Theo made Trump feel comfortable talking about personal things he doesn’t usually talk about.
Maybe he does talk about that stuff a lot. Who knows. We only see his public side.

In some bizarre way, this might be the best Trump interview I’ve ever seen.
The amount of curiosity he showed to Theo is proof that this man is no narcissist. No doubt I do not like Trump, but this is a clear example of his humility and ability to care about others. I may not agree with how he gets there, but wow this man really does want to make America great again.
I think the assassination attempt really humbled him further and has encouraged him to set forth a legacy he would’ve never dreamed of before the attempt. I think if RFK threw in the towel for Trump, there were some serious heart or heart that shows Trump truly wants what’s best for us. We may not like the how, and wish things could be different, but the man’s goals for our country are courageous.
