    Tripe can be very tasty but you have to prepare it well. Tripe is one of my favourites but that is probably because it is quite popular here in Poland and so a lot of people know how to prepare it well. We make various variations of hearthy, sticky stew out of it. If you want to try it out, search for "Flaki po zamojsku".

    • @pilsung26

      Tripe is eaten throughout the American south. It's as common as cornbread, grits, fried chicken, etc. It says Cooper's is a picky eater and pretty boring (my subjective opinion) when it comes to food.

      @titusmccarthy 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It's a funny thing but Cooper doesn't seem very worldly. He's probably travelled all over the US and he doesn't know what Tripe is.

    TRIPE is one of those foods where someone says TRY THIS! You do, MMMM, and then say what is it? (Obviously not thinking clearly.) Once told, you push the dish away and not take another bite.
    I actually like it in menuedo.

    I believe Ethiopia was colonized by Italy for a while but yes very interesting culture.

    • @lancegoodthrust546
      @lancegoodthrust546 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      +Rose Knapp Your right, like '35 to '41. But AB added "real period of time " lol. Which to be fair is true. But Italy did occupy Ethiopia to melt into the second Roman Empire of Mussolini.

    • @StarvingPoet
      @StarvingPoet 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Lance Goodthrust True true, it wasn't for nearly as long a period as most colonized countries and so probably left more of the native culture left in tact.

    • @lancegoodthrust546
      @lancegoodthrust546 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Rose Knapp Agreed, Italy came late to the party when taking their colony of Ethiopia. The other European countries made theirs WAY before the 30's. Mussolini wanted to recreate the Roman Empire. Italy's actual invasion of Ethiopia was brutal in many ways, no doubt. But Italy did provide certain advantages that other colonies did not care to do. Such as education for children, construction homes, etc. Even the fascist youth groups in Ethiopia were mixed with black and Italian students together. I'm not trying to say the Italians were saints, not at all. But every land they took over there was this thing of, as long as you recognize your leader in Rome we can get along.

    • @StarvingPoet
      @StarvingPoet 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Lance Goodthrust Yeah I suppose all colonized countries gained some forms of cultural and technological knowledge and possibly protections from their colonizers, but I bet most of the non elite people in those countries who didn't reap any of the benefits of empires see things differently.

    • @lancegoodthrust546
      @lancegoodthrust546 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Rose Knapp Probably right. But I have asked a question recently about a lot of African countries. And it might be considered cruel but I ask it sincerely. Is Africa better now without being colonized than before? Most European countries pulled their guys out after WWII. Now ever since then there has been non-stop civil wars from one part to another. The worse part is that the Europe and the US,(and others) are there now taking what we need for our resources WITHOUT colonialization. And there is so much misery and poverty in most Africa. The sad part is that, besides a couple of UN convoys here and there these nations will never get help. Simply because there's no money in it.
