The first time we went to Ireland back in the 90s, we came across a Fifties-themed American diner in Dublin, so we thought it’d be funny to grab lunch there and see what Happy Days nostalgia looked like thru an Irish lens. The meal was fine: serviceable burgers, shakes, fries. About a year later we’re back home in Boston, and we see a sign at a local mall that that diner would be opening a location soon over here. And that’s how we discovered that this Johnny Rockets place was, in fact, a chain from the West Coast. 😹
He was definitely a hyperactive personality. Unsettled. Those types tend to be very thin, as well. That's something I've always noticed about him. And they said he was always anxious always going going. It's tiring to exist like that. No rest physically, or mentally.

2:22 talking about depression. I will miss this mentor and comedian. R I P fellow chef
A Chuck Wepner reference right out of the box.... "the Bayonne Bleeder" was quite the character.
Two of my favorite TV people together! 😀
conan and conan?
Matt LeBlanc and Andy?
Roman Ramos Cameraman #4 and Audience member #26?
TheHehe1223 i like andy!
サパリーヤスシャント At least yours was clever! Lol
One of the good guys Rip Dude
R.I.P Anthony Bourdain 😢🙏
This man is a natural story teller just by the way he use words and idioms spontaneously is just amazing.
You can tell how much anxiety he had. Just look at his hands.
Nick Puente tf why 3 mins ago
Looks like he was coming off of something. Concerning...
@@Leafy0458 wtf do you mean??
Absolutely! shaky and shivering!
He was definitely a hyperactive personality. Unsettled. Those types tend to be very thin, as well. That's something I've always noticed about him. And they said he was always anxious always going going. It's tiring to exist like that. No rest physically, or mentally.
8 seconds into video googles "Chuck Wepner".
How bout only white guy to go 15 rounds with Ali?
HE'S THE INSPIRATION FOR ROCKY
only reason Ali got the win, was he was the champ already
Gunther Ultrabolt Novacrunch
i watched the whole fight chuck was whooping on his ass, since Ali played fake hurt so much judges didnt know he was hurt to score the round correctly
I watched it too. If Ali was playing fake hurt so much...then how was Chuck kicking his ass?
RIP my friend. You had so much wit. What a huge loss for humanity!!!
I loved watching his tv shows especially parts unknown when I was younger now I’m rewatching it and realized how much I never truly understood his humor not until now that im older. He has such a charming character. Rest easy
RIP man. You opened my eyes to the wider world as a kid living in a poor rural town. You are missed Mr Bourdain.
He always conveyed so much of his pain beneath the surface but not even that far beneath to those who were able to see it for obvious. Sad that he’s gone. Sometimes pain so deep for so long just never leaves and can’t be silenced no matter how much u have or where u go.
Yes. All the fame and money and the world can't heal some wounds.
yeah shutup bro @@patrickcannady2066
Why is suicide so hard to believe? It's just too difficult to believe that a man like Anthony Bourdain would ever do something like that. He struggled through his life with a lot of things, and I really wish his soul to be peacefull now. Rest in Peace mr. Bourdain. May your travels and adventures be remembered for generations to come
Suicide is hard to believe to normal, healthy people. That's why kurts Cobain suicide is still for some people murder commited by Courtney
maybe he was murdered? it does happen.
Yeah just like some nuts can't believe Kurt cobain shot himself.
All the wealth, fame, and power in the world can't make you happy. I think Tony was missing the one thing, or better, person, that would've brought him true joy.
A song by Kurt Cobsin wás released after his death where the entire chorus is "Pain" over and over again. None of his songs were cheery. He talked about being in pain with stomach issues, probably related to drugs all the time. It wasn't really a shock that he killed himself. Ask anyone around him at the time
He was such a sweet man with honesty. I am so sad that he is gone. I really felt like I knew him :(
Miss him ...what many happy TV hours He provided with his show ....THX
So well spoken and witty. Wow. What a loss. Rest In Peace, Anthony Bourdain ❤️
It was Johnny Rockets fault.
This was Ramsey's work here
He over thought everything. Even a burger.
@@JM-fo1te for wanting a tasty burger with quality bun and ingredients that's fresh and tasty?

Rest In Peace Anthony, I will miss him...
Murdered not suicide
Ohms you are trippin dude , he just hung himself , get over it , its sad , yes ...but thats really too much making a murder conspiracy out of it ...
BuXnAMaN exactly. Some people have absolutely no respect
Jason Yang *you

And yes, he is...
Jason Yang Four days ago...you can google it, for more details...
He had the knack for stringing words together that caused his audience to sit up and listen. I miss his commentaries and his wit. Not sure who will ever walk in his foot steps again. I hope he is having a joyous time wherever he is.
RIP.....
His way of words was special.
Like a symphony, with highs and lows.
Greatest endorsement for Johnny Rockets ever.
Soul crushing food & experience enough to make you take your own life.
RIP, Tony.
He loves In & Out though
So does Alex in A Clockwork Orange.
Not after reprogramming ... (Alex)
But Alex was cured, alright
Who doesn't
Hey guy from 2017 show some respect, he just died here in the future (june 2018)
He was such a brilliant story-teller 😢
Miss you brother! You were so savage but truly kind to people in person!
what a good voice and humble man. RIP
Rest In Peace to a great chef and a great man. You will be missed!
He was so brilliant and experienced, I took his word as law regarding cuisine. I will miss him, and thank him for his wisdom
Sadly add suffering from depression, addiction to drugs and booze. It didn't balance not even having a young daughter. He was brilliant and taught us much. R.I.P.
Rest in Peace Anthony Bourdain.
You were the legend.
Miss this guy desperately. First thing I’ve watched since his passing
In this interview he is already giving us subtle clues and a lamentable glimpse into the tragic future to come. RIP
R.I.P Anthony Bourdain. You were loved ❤️
KFC has the best cole slaw anywhere
adj789 so true, not overdressed, fresh and crispy coleslaw in its truest form. I hate everything else about them, but their coleslaw is on point.
I agree.
..and their gravy. I secretly buy both for Thanksgiving and put them in nice porcelain containers, and am always a hit. ;-) LOL!
Edgar Castellon Gross. You've obvs never had gravy made with turkey broth from a freshly roasted turkey. I promise you its better. Also, add fresh turkey broth to stuffing and people will be falling over. KFC's brown gravy is best served with chicken or beef, should not be on a Thanksgiving table... ever.
That is matter of personal opinion. I also make an amazing gravy infused with rosemary and herbes de provence utilizing my turkey juices. Some people love it, others gravitate towards the secret KFC gravy. So again, everybody has different taste. I CHOOSE what I put on MY dinner table. Good day.
OH MY GOD as a teen I got the most horrific food poisoning from Jonny Rockets. I feel so validated
the type of person to discover food jewels in every corner of the earth. such a humble precious soul...
Andy’s such a pro. His supporting jokes are the best. “This one doesn’t work.” Brilliant.
What a great man. I hope he knew how important he was to the world.
A TV-chef? I realize that TH-cam-obituary-tourism can be a hobby, but aren't we being a little... melodramatic?
@@fenriz218 yeah I reckon. If he was as intelligent as everyone's claiming you'd think he could have talked a bit of sense to himself and gottem some help
RIP you legend, forever loved.
0:45 That KFC mac and cheese is really good, for whatever reason.
What a huge loss man. I'm so sorry you felt so alone. Rest in peace.
That Chuck Wepner metaphor was so apt that it’s sad, almost a self-fulfilling prophecy or eerie awareness of what was likely his inevitable fate.
The Hunter S Thompson of the cooking world be free man enjoy it.
Rip Anthony, you will be missed
