I like how the progression is just 1: humble beginnings 2: first victory 3: gaining power 4: god mode completely invincible 5: slay all opposing gods and beat the game
i think the problem with calamity with the rpg mod is that it has much more bosses and because of that the max weapon ascencion is absurd so it makes the weapons extremely overpowered
Oh, and if you're worried about the power progression rate for weapons, one of the things in the configuration files (that I thought was on by default) makes it so the number of evolutions and ascensions a weapon (and I think armor) can go through is limited by the number of unique boss kills in the world, so if you have it at what I understood as the default, you'll only be able to ascend a weapon once for each first kill of a boss.
Here are some tips i know: - You can use scroll whell to put points into stats instead of clicking , - You can go beyond 1000lvl if you go down the skill tree where the all stats increase are and when you upgrade to the very bottom you then reopen the skill tree to unlock the option to go beyond , - Lets say that if you have dps meter on you and it says that your doing minus dmg then you should stop upgrading that choosen weapon because soon youll be dealing 0 dmg no matter if your close or far away from the enemy Hope this info can be helpful to some.

If you want to squeeze a little more content out of this, once you hit character level 1000, go straight down on the skill tree. Do it again at level 2000.
The scaling is a little whack, everything just does a shit ton of damage, but enemy hp also scales to millions. The mod would be much more clean without such high scaling
With the Insta Houses if you place them to where the top of the next house you make is the bottom of the house below it, it will keep the platforms. It makes it easier to traverse the housing
Go to the game in your steam library, right-click and go to properties, go to betas, choose whichever one has “1.4.3” in its name and you should be good
there is a way to go beyond the level 1000 cap. at the bottom of your skill tree is a overall damage class. if you take all of your skill points at level 1000 and get down to the very bottom of the overall damage class tree, you'll find the perfect being class, which will make you much stronger in every way plus remove your 1000 level cap, plus there is a class right after that which would allow you to be a perfect being summoner class. you can become even more godly than you were here.
@@0klah cool cool! also, I believe farming blood moons in the beginning is a very easy way to go from level 20 to level 150 early game. I seem to do it with 0.1x xp gain and it's rather easy, so doing it with 1x xp gain should be even easier. then again, I had a dynamic difficulty mod that made enemies stronger the more I killed them, so that may have increased their xp drops, but I believe the Blood Moon farm is still very fruitful without that.
I know its been a long time since the recording, but a cool note for the next time you do this, using the scroll wheel while having your mouse over the stat button will distribute a lot (around 50 points or so) into the stat that you are hovering over. it was faster than an autoclicker for me.
RPGs are my favorite game genre. Terraria is one of my top 3 favorite games. Evenly placed with Roblox and Minecraft. the other 2 are dauntless and ZTOTK
I tried this once also in calamity with Melee got the endgame sword Earth and couldn't fight anything because the healing caused an integer overflow and would insta kill me

That moment when you get so much damage you get an overflow exception and your weapon ends up doing 0 damage.
pfft, it's better than in some games where you end up healing your enemies instead or the game just crashes.

I also had the same problem with the pillars, somehow they completely lag the game and crash it whenever this mod is installed.
