You can tell it's an anime mod because half the weapons have a thesis attatched to them just to understand how to use the weapon in a basic manner
It's really part of the fun, isn't it? Honestly though, The Stars Above needs you to be a bit involved in it, but there's a lot of fun weapons in it if you have the patience to learn how to use them. And there's so fucking many of them too.

@@GaraichuYT the best part is that almost all if not all of them are a reference to something weeby/gamery. like theres a lance thats literally the azure dragoon lance from FFXIV, and the Warrior of LIght boss uses voicelines from the Shadowbringers WoL trial from XIV as well. super neat having an "i understood that reference moment" with some of the weapons lol

Oh, god. Here's the thing, if you ever see it: The Solar Eclipse _wasn't_ bugged. The _sky_ was. Maybe it's a multiplayer oddity, but you should've been able to see the sky filled with light and a "debuff" telling you that the sky was fucked. That's why the Solar Eclipse wasn't working. It goes away after you beat the Warrior of Light.

This mightve been patched by now but when I played the mod with my brother, we were unlucky enough to have the world in everlasting light at the same time an eclipse waa in process. We had a neverending eclipse.. which forced us to rush to defeat the warrior of light

Fun fact: The player's starfarer has unique dialogue for every calamity boss (excluding natural spawns like Giant Clam) both when they spawn and after they die

Also when calamity is installed progression is changed, some weapons (bury the light for example) are buffed but are crafted with post moon lord calamity boss drops.
Also you can go to other planets in multiplayer by disabling something.
The issue is that you crash 1/2 of the time

They do it for other mods too. I believe they've done so for Thorium, and I've seen changelogs that they did it for the Spirit mod when it got ported to 1.4.

I think you guys should try summoning the solar eclipse again. Surely one more time will fix it.
The whole bed mechanic feels like it was made to be an anti-death-loop measure.
AH, sweet hour and six minutes of summoner coping for choosing wrong anime girl (You can actually ask the girl to change damage type for your preferable)
So interesting fact you can actually change the weapons damage types if it doesn't start as the type you want just a cool fact that may help if you ever have to run the mod again. Also great vid keep up the great work!

I've been playing with this mod a lot over the last few months, it's a ton of fun, i will say you guys did miss going to the other dimensions, it's really cool, when u click on the altar/look at all of the planets, if u click on the specific ones it brings u to another dimension :D they're all super unique/look cool af

Yeah, The Stars Above has Calamity Support I think.
@@YgoS.S.O that's why I also got the Infernum master mode patch, and toggled on the setting for "for the worthy" in Fargo's Mutant Mod. Invincibility will still inevitably happen, but so will thousands of deaths

P.S The warrior of light wasnt a Zelda boss, its from a game series called Final Fantasy and its pretty cool.
You know that you guys should've farmed Brain of Cthulhu, I was easily sitting on like 100 Plat by just farming BoC instead of the Eyes, Could've Saved you guys so much Sanity like Being able to afford Broken hero sword from Operator, Being able to buy Moonlord Bags, Being able to buy lot of Lunar Fragments etc.

My best/worst (kinda unintentional) farm was using Fargo´s mod overloaded/multi summons.
I planned to summon maybe 100 Eyes, but didn´t realize the item multiplied them by 10. Fortunately they spawned in waves, but I still had to grind through 1000 of the bastards.
Well, the worst part was opening all the bags and selling the loot, it took ages, but I did come out of that with over 400 platinum. (I probably had a bit before that, and buying the summons wasn´t cheap to begin with, but still, over 300 easily.)

You guys know that in one of your power sections of that disc at the bottom you can select damage types and it’ll change every weapon to that damage type right?

The Luma staff is both the best and worst weapon.
It's the worst for literally anything besides going AFK.
But when you're AFK, you can sleep through any event except like Frost Moon and Alien Invasion.

fun fact: you can change the modded weapons to other damage types (magic, summon ect) by just going to the passives area and pressing the button
Ah, that bugged Solar Eclipse was due to a mechanic from defeating Moon Lord in the Stars Above, where day becomes permanent. Time doesn't even tick, it just stays at like 9:30AM. Usually there would be a different music track playing and the sky would be much brighter above ground, but I guess that didn't work so well in Multiplayer. Back then, this would happen instantly when you killed Moon Lord, nowadays you get several in-game days as grace period to prepare in case you needed the day/night cycle to acquire anything else you needed. Killing the Warrior of Light would remove that effect on the world. Your Starfarers (anime waifus) should've also warned you about this, but they either didn't because it was bugged and didn't appear, or they probably did and you skipped over it.
The other major issue with not being able to use the portal during the Pillars was because the mod prevents you from doing so during the Lunar Events, but I'm not sure why it told you there was no portal nearby. Usually it should tell you that you can't go on voyages while the Pillars are around.
And by the way, there is an option to change all the damage types of all Stars Above weapons to be a damage type of your choosing, although any weapon that has its damage type changed as a result would lose 10% of its damage.

Im pretty sure I used the taconamicon throughout all of my run because it gets stronger the more bosses are killed. Its really funny to see about 25 octopus flying around obliterating bosses

you usually play this mod classless, as in you dont stick to a specific class, you swap around your gear a lot. (or in your stellar nova menu you could idk maybe click the button that makes all aspected weapons do summon damage so that you could use them idk maybe just a thought)

The best thing I like about Stars above is that every weapon from that mod can be made and used by any class.
You can change it so its summoner or melee.

So, regarding the final weapon that "makes sense to be a melee weapon", it actually does? Stars Above pulls a lot of weapons from different games, and this one was no different.
If I recall correctly, it's stated to need an Aegis Crystal, and makes a weapon involving the name of "Architect".
Me being the nerd that I am, I put two and two together to make five, only to realize thats Artifice Siren, one of several Artifices under the control of the Pneuma Processor Core in Xenoblade Chronicles 2. The weapon Pneuma gives the player, is in fact a melee weapon, and thus would deal melee damage.

The Architects Luminance or whatever, the glowy blue sword at the end of the game, is actually built to be any class. There's a feature that nerfs weapon damage and makes it whatever damage type you want, but that specific weapon has a unique interaction with it. Every time you respec it to a different class, the weapon changes how it behaves entirely, and it doesn't take the damage nerf. It's also got the most anime right click ability ever, I love it so much. Plus, it's a Xenoblade reference, which...
Terraria is my favorite game of all time, I've been playing since like 2012.
The Xenoblade series takes up spots 2-8 in my top ten, Terraria being the ONLY game above them.
That's how goated Xenoblade games are. As such, Architect's Luminance is my favorite modded terraria weapon and I use it *every* playthrough. I use Stars Above for every single modpack I play with, just for that weapon. I don't play vanilla Terraria, because of this weapon.
It's just a shame that Stars Above is so broken with multiplayer.

The world travel not workiing in multiplayer was a bug by the dependency that allowed world travel.
This has been fixed.
Not sure it’s been fixed because whenever my friend and I try to return to the home world it gets stuck on the loading screen
@@officialj-rem4756 that means the dependency subworld library broke again.
On the discord a few hrs ago the dev stated it shoukd work again as its been updated but its more of a beta working now.
This tends to happen with dependencies that dont update as ofte

You can go to different planets by disabling the multiplayer compatibility in the settings.
