I am not much of a sailboat matter of fact I just bought a new thirty meter motor yacht at the Miami show. I do have to say if I would have seen this or at least it sister boat I might have convert it to sailboats. I really might consider something like this in the next couple years when I upgrade again. I just cannot get over how stunning it looks inside and all of the room. I have friends of mine that have some decent sized sailboats and none of them are anywhere close to this one. Absolutely gorgeous and thank you for whoever shared this.
Thanks Jeffrey. I agree the boat is something special. It scares me to think that I shot the video on a Sony HDR-SR12 that I'd bought that day as my regular camera was broken!
I'd love to buy her, whenever I have the money. The price would have to be a function of the charter value, so the crew and operating expenses don't drain me.
Most important man aboard will be the hydraulics Engineer. Best paid as well. Then the electrical Engineer. Appears she's off southeastern Spain here. Very nice.
Where all has this beautiful yacht been to? She has 5 crew members, so that should be around $300K in annual salaries; with a value of around $10 million, she'd be costing around $1 million/year in insurance, upkeep and management, as the fixed costs. A 750 HP engine should consume around 35 gallons/hour(when not under sail) or $175/hour. Can she generate around $1.5 million to $2 million in annual charters? Roughly $50K/week or $7K/day?
Yeah, but the sea is so salty... that stuff will go bad in about 1 year! Filmed in 2012 (I knew it!). So, where is the boat, today? At the Calcutah junk yards. The teak was used as firewood by the Guphtha, Athrdudo, Puthahs, and Petra families.
? You can't see forward from the helm! There would be a generator running 24/7, with all of that 220 volt and hydraulic stuff. The style of the interior is so traditional, it looks like something designed for my grandmother - and I'm an old man now.
You're obviously a short old man if you can't see over the helm. There's a generator running on just about every boat over 15mtrs so you what else do you have to winge about?
@ th-cam.com/video/vB0eH2n7QOE/w-d-xo.html Crew seems pretty comfortable seeing where he's going. Its beautiful, but I would have designed her a bit differently.. dual steering outside.. and an inside wheelhouse steering and nav-station as well with full instrumentation at all three spots. and the back transom.. it would have had an opening hatch to store the dingy.. so you can simply drive it up and in the back of the transom.. and store it inside on the back transom.
