That doesn't look like an edelweiss at all, definitely looks like a starburst. You see the starburst motif all over Europe and in the UK. You can see a similar starburst pattern behind German polizei insignia.
Unfortunately at least half of the pistols he displayed were reblued (hot dipped). Seriously, you never buy ANY luger unless you can do hands on inspection and completely disassemble it, a $2,000 asking price should at least get you that much. It's wrong to sell lugers in this way IMHO, these should be sold on a pistol by pistol basis with detailed photos of each gun fully disassembled. They know these guns have problems and are praying on the ignorance of the buyer. These aren't $300 dollar Mosin Nagants where you're not out that much if you end up with a bad one.
