Thanks for the review Tony, it’s always good to hear about possible tyre options. Funnily enough, I was at Jim Aim a week ago - had my 1290 SAS serviced and got them to fit a set of Michelin Road 5 trails at the same time. That was my first visit there but it certainly won’t be my last…they did a first class job and even lent me a 790 Duke for the day (which I put about 150 miles on). So a big thumbs up for Jim Aim from me 👍 Andy 🏴
Fenomenalny tire. Did around 800okm with the set and Yeastday I cut the rear tire on the sharp piece of rock. Could not fix it so I decided to ride it flat 10km off road and 55 km on tarmac home. No problems. Did 60-70 km/h on motoway and get home in one piace No damage to the rim. Today I will put new set of them. Handling is amazing
I am just about to change my Michelin anakee 3's on my F850GS nearly 15'000 front and back. I am really impressed with them. Possibly a little noisy? But I would recommend them 👍
I've +17500kms (+11k miles) on the Michelin Anakee 3s with the same bike, F850GS and there is easily another 2000+ kms left. I have been really impressed with them too in both the wet and dry, as I commute/tour all year round. I have heard that they have gotten a negative name 'panickee 3s' from riders on other bikes. I am going to try the Dunlop Trailmax Meridian next time just for something different.
@@mancavemoto More confidence in wet tarmac with Dunlop? Interesting. We will wait for your feedback on the longevity of the tyres. Wich one will laster longer.
Thanks for posting. Looks to be a good alternative to the Pirelli Scorpion Trail that I need to replace on my Multistrada. I did try a set of Mission Trail on my now-gone Scrambler 1200 which were fantastic tires, but noisy.
Hi Tonny, I really like your videos, they are very useful for me. I would like to know your opinion: For an Africa Twin 1100 Adventure Sports, which order of choice for these 3 tyres? - Conti Trail Attack 3 - Bridgestone A41 - Dunlop Trailmax Meridian Thank you very much for your videos
Bonjour , je roule sur un tiger 900 gt pro avec depuis 2500 kms et que du bonheur . Jai longtemps hésité avec les Road 5 mais ils ne sont pas disponible dans ma taille .
Tempted to stick a pair on my 890 for road touring, but I'm curious about the Metzler Tourance Next 2 which look good on the spec sheet. P.S +1 on Jim Aim.
Great video Sir! My Triumph Tiger 1200 came with the Metzeler "Tourance Next" tires. They are very much like the Dunlop tires. I hear folks getting 15,000 miles on them. Any feedback? May be Dunlops are better? Peace !

Yep, a top quality dealer for sure

Good timely review. About to change my AT1100 boots for a more road tyre choice ready for next year. Will price these up.
Worth a look for sure

Ive been riding an Africa Twin with Anakee Street tyres, they’ve been very good. As are the Meridian’s that I have on my 790 Adventure
How do these compare to Continental Trail Attack 3? On dry and on wet tarmac, which inspires more confidence?
Both great tyres, but I think these just pop the contis in the wet. A little more feedback I would say

how do they compare to the Continentals (TrailAttack3)?
Quite similar, but the side wall is slightly stiffer in these which make it feel a little ‘quicker’ on the road

Cheers, the scorpions are a very good tyre too

Thanks Francisco, for me its between the Conti and the Dunlop, very similar tyres and tricky to choose between
@@mancavemoto Thanks Tony,
For now I've built the A41 but later I'll test the Conti and Meridian.
Thank you very much and a hug from Portugal !!

They are holding up well, but I may swap them soon for something more 50/50 biased?

I have Tourance Next tyres on my old KTM1050. Very good but I did find that they tramlined a little
Useful video - thanks Tony
Do you remember Michelin Macadams? They remind me of those - tread pattern I think
Not one I remeber Nigel
Bjr merci pour cet essai , pouvez vous me dire svp si le roulement du pneu est silencieux merci
Aucun pneu n'est silencieux, mais ceux-ci sont très silencieux
Jim Aim is a great dealership, I've used them for Ktm enduro bikes and spares
A good bunch of people for sure
What happened to the trail attack 3
I sold the Tiger that they were fitted on
@@mancavemoto what mileage had you got too and did they drop off in performance.
i took a couple of tyres to jim aim the bloke serving said it would be about a week, never went back.
To be fair if the workshops busy, it’s busy
How much they last?
I've just done an update video th-cam.com/video/24g_wUaUlUo/w-d-xo.html
Poor brits still under Kings thumb. I love my mission trails. 8000 miles and alot left.
Errr what?!
@@mancavemoto Still can't ride due to the coof?
Sorry I’m still not with you?
@@mancavemoto Are you still unable to ride due to covid and lockdown?
Ah gotcha. No not at all we’ve had no travel restrictions in the UK this year, what made you think that?
They sound like good tyres. I bet you get more than 6,000 miles. Unless you accelerate a lot harder than on your videos, you racer.
There’s a lot of footage that I can’t put into the videos ;)
@@mancavemoto I'll bet, but I was only joking.
