Great review , i have gone rhe Givi route with the tank ring. I have bought a separate ring that straps to the seat so i can use it as a tail pack or a tank bag.
I have the PRO rear bag and use the Engage tank bag on my Street Rack with an adapter plate, if it’s not on the tank ring. I also can mount a Givi top box with another plate. The PRO Micro bag is mainly used on the tank ring. Yes, I’m a fan of their flexibility…I use different set ups dependent on the nature of my trips and the gear I need to carry, excellent kit.
Good to see this. I have all the kriega bags but have swmotech panniers for my R9T and do really like the quality of the sw motech kit. I think these bags are in some ways better than kriega as they keep their shape and easier to access on the bike. Thanks
Clever idea with the tank bag doubling up. I turn an old givi e21 pannier on it's side. Smallish and waterproof with easy removal, but your idea is better. Ride safe 👍
After years of saddlebags I got tired of the brackets and strapping then down I switched to a tank bag and tail-rear bag. motorcycle stuff, gloves, spare face shield, toolkit, tire kit all went up front in the tank bag, clothes and personal stuff went in the tail bag, only having two bags to carry into a hotel-motel room is so much nicer. 😄 I bought some webbing and fastex buckles online and made my own harness for my old seat bag. If you got a cruiser or motorcycle with a backrest-sissy bar you can attach a tank bag or tail pack to it just use it as a backpack.
Got both these (and a host of other SW Motech bags) have to say that the strap on is better for me…the inside base is flatter and more cushioned. I can switch quickly to a larger SW Motech rear bag when touring or just need to carry more stuff using the same straps already in place 👍
Thanks for the review. I have a couple of disks in my back that really don't respond well to wearing a backpack... So learning about other options was appreciated.
I use this set up on adventure rack with slightly smaller pro ring bag, I also use the adventure rack for a givi trekker, I wish I could leave the ring on when I use the givi trekker box but you need to remove it, no biggie only few mins, if anyone is interested, sw adventure rack offer a adapter for both sorts of givi connections , monokey and monolock 😊
Oh Bum, I thought I’d invented the use of tank bags on the rear rack… I fitted a standard triumph mini rack to my tiger sport then made a custom plate to fit on top using 2mm aluminium and sprayed black or about £15…. I mounted a standard Givi tank ring and I can now use any Givi bag that has a lock ring… I have to ask though, how many viewers trust the lock ring on its own ? I use a strap, just in case…
Hi great video quick question does the sw motech adventure rack fit the new 2024 tiger 900gt pro?almost just brought the altrider which I don't think takes the sw ring
#1 Good bag, fiddly fitting system. I prefer a harness semi-permanently attached to the rear seat, like on my Ventura tail bag.
Can tell you had a lot of fun with the thumbnail on this video

The ability to velcro strap it under your seat is a great idea, I didn't know it could do that. I am off to have a look.

Excellent video, very informative.

Glad it was helpful!
Fab info, brilliant in their choices of attachment options .. cheers 👍
No problem 👍
Looks like a nify product. Like its mounting options, though I had to laugh at the strapping of the bag to the rear indicators....
A good spot, only needs to be enough to hold the bag in place!👍

Nice one Tony. Thank you. Does your discount code apply to overseas viewers? I’m in Australia.
It only applies to orders placed on the UK site, but they do ship overseas I believe?

I’m pretty sure they will have one, but you can put your bike model details into their website and it will show you all the parts they make for it
"Strap-on or clip-on....." The title on first frame sounds like opening of script for BDSM movie 🤣🤣
😂😏
Not gonna lie, the thumbnail made me click. Just had to find out, it’s a question I’ve really been struggling with…
