first bike a hayabusa? are you a moron? if you've ridden before think about how long it's been and what you use to ride, if its your first time RIDING you should, if you want a supersport, start at a 300-600cc bike once you spend about 1-2years on it you'll have developed the proper reflexes for an emergency situation, and then MAYBE go for this if you honestly feel it's within your skill level. don't be another statistic, ride smart, smart is smooth smooth is fast. also don't be a squid.
This is why I'm such a gigantic fan of Jay Leno. Not only is he a car man, he loves bike's as well. I'm actually a bike man and this H2 is one of the most amazing build's any Major Motorcycle Corp. has ever built. Love the TH-cam channel Jay!
As a motorcyclist, let's be honest: in spite of brand, sophistication, size or power, there is no safe motorcycle in the wrong hands. Probably motorcycle riders should start qualifying for riding this sort of bikes, the way pilots qualify for flying certain kind of planes. I can't believe I'm saying this, but motorcycles are going way too far even for those with higher than average human skills.
MFP 2241 man this and the ZX14 are the only two machines I have rode that had enough power and yes they almost had to much. Believe it or not you get used to power and you always want more up until a certain point then that power becomes hard to control even for world class racers. And these aren’t that powerful I’m talking about funny cars and pro mods and such. I’m to the point where anything under a liter bike just feels slow even the 600’s.
My third Kawasaki was an H2 750 bought in 1975 , Denco modified, triple expansion chambers. With wheely bars, it did low 9's in the quarter mile. Barely could stop with one single caliper disc up front. Everyone called me the wheely king, I loved it!
Saw one parked at a restaurant in Nashville last year. From a distance it looked like an R1 but once I approached it, I realized what it was. The paint is gorgeous in the sun. Really beautiful bike.
Tach probably goes at least 5-8k beyond where Jay revved it. 14k redline and Jay says he was only hitting 2k. I'm not buying that but there's no way he went past 5-6k
That wasn’t “revving the piss out of it” by a long shot. Aside from the fact that newer engines with current technology don’t require much warmup time if any, don’t forget that this wasn’t the first take, so they had already been started previously (as well as before the first take), and finally, you know these are running full synthetic oil as well which means there’s already a film of oil on all the moving parts.
That is the sexiest vehicle I have seen in my entire life. When he was unveiling it I thought... "Bit dramatic it's just a bike they all look similar", then that colour and gloss and those outlines and that green, I REALLY want one.
Thank you Jay. I am & will always be be a motorcyclist enthusiast. It's great that you followed your passion in life & now share such amazing videos. Sadly for some of us, due to health challenges etc. Aren't able to buy or enjoy the beautiful collection that you have. So once again thanks for sharing these amazing videos! I used to have a 1984 Kawasaki GPz 1100. The reason I bought it was because it was the quickest, fastest most powerful production motorcycle you could buy, at that time. I bought it in Germany, it was an English model so it was unrestricted and the speedometer was in MPH. A guy I worked with bought the 750 turbo. They had the exact same top speed. I did 150 mph every weekend to go see my girlfriend who lived 300 miles away. I passed Porches, BMW's, Mercedes Jaguar's and many other fast cars and a lot of other motorcycles. Loved it.
Jason Cianfrani Riding a motorcycle that fast doesn't increase your chances of killing a family. It's not like he was doing it through a shopping mall. 300 miles most likely means a lot of highway travel. Unless you're smashing into the back of minivans, you're not risking anyone's life but your own.
I had my 1st Kawasaki in a wonderful time: 1975 Z-1. This bike changed my young life. I was free and no one could catch me..lol. This bike was smooth, trouble free and so balanced that I could handle it even tho I was short- I could not plant both feet on the ground When I bought it. It never leaked a drop and maintace was easy. Here is the otherthing? I took this thing all over the North of America. It was a camping machine. All I added was a different seat , "Sissy Bar" for strapping gear onto and highway foot rests. It was a beautiful piece of engineering. OH Yes...It was scary fast and you could scrape knees cornering anytime if you felt the need.

Can't wait to see one in-person or better yet, ride one some day. Jay, can't wait to see you ride one when you purchase the street-going version. ;) Looks way better than the new R1 if ye ask me.
+TSM swagmaster 9000 By the mirror you could clearly see its different, and H2R doesn't have any associations with any kind of exhaust if I'm not mistaken, H2R looks bigget, H2R uses a different velg, H2R sound is louder so definitely will be spotting that, H2R is mostly out of carbon fibre so can't miss that. I mean it looks like the same bike but if you actually see it in person it's very different.

If I were a young man I'd love to ride it but at my age it'd give me cardiac arrest!
After all these years jay still got jokes an a sense of humor. You can tell how excited he is for these bikes. Rediculous amount of power for two wheels.
The dude is a sales man. Hiow many times did I wait to hear him say the preordained corporate sales script. I've seen a few of them on this channel. They seriously need to relax and be car or bike guys and express their genuine enthusiasm for the product rather than worry about what head office thinks of their, "performance". You know I'd be more on board if this guy said. "This beast red lines at 14K You should hear it scream at those numbers. It's like you've put it's hand on the hot plate of your stove. It know it's wrong but it's into that sort of thing, it wants more punishment and who are you to deny it's every increasing call for power . That would be selfish, smash that throttle hard Jay!
You must be a salesmen as well. Your suggestion would make him sound like a typical annoying salesman that will say whatever he thinks the customer wants to hear and over exaggerate everything.
Agreed whole heartedly. I mean look at the guys posture, his hands and fingertips meeting position all the goof balls that talk about a product do. I mean c'mon wtf? Where's the real excitement? Smh.
in my opinion it's perfect right from the factory. maybe some after market race wheels or the rims power coated to match the frame and the bike is perfection.
I have been riding motorcycles for along time and I don't get scared . This bike rite here made me re think that . Statement oh my goodness what a proper beast of a motor cycle . You punch it and it feels like you got rear-ended by a rocket ship. Great job Jay .
Lol. Product knowledge generates laydowns. Customers feel obligated to purchase if you can generate enough value, via product knowledge. He's a beast salesman which is why he's demoing the most powerful production bike ever created, in Lenos garage.
This just might be enough to draw me back into the bike game. Thanks for this very special unveil Jay. I love that you have the exact same taste as I do being a 25 year old motoring enthusiast from a small town in Arkansas. You are a true hardcore enthusiast! Thanks for sharing our passions!
It's funny how this guy doesn't answer any questions at all Jay: "why did kawasaki choose the 1000cc rather than the 1400?" The guy "Kawasaki designed the bike to produce the fastest and fun experience"
+Shieldy Meister You must have missed the part where he said they wanted to based it on the sport bike class - 1000cc. It's a sport bike that can put the hyper bikes - 1400cc to sleep, that was the idea. Did we watch the same video?
+Shieldy Meister even so the 1000 is to much already, the poor bike simply does not cool any special way, it's a sport bike on steroids with a super charger and not enough cooling application. to run it on the street and expect to outperform anything even with 1400 cc is going to be difficult because once it runs hot all that performance drops. everywhere I have seen these bikes at all bike shows they are either the H2R and not street legal, or they are the H2 and are nothing more then a show bike.
I'm a forever die hard Gixxer Guy since the way back days of 92. Still ride at 48 and have 4 in my stable. But this creature is something different. Just pure beauty on 2 tires.
Get off the mark on that thing at full throttle and your hair will catch on fire! BTW, I for one, think Jay Leno's Garage was the perfect place to unveil this Super Bike! Of all the shows and places out there dedicated to cars and motorbikes and personal road transportation in general, this is by far my favorite!
I think it’s mostly because at the time he couldn’t release key details or speculate about the bike publicly. So he had a pre approved bank of terms and marketing strategies to use. But I agree, doesn’t seem very knowledgeable.
I own a 2009 1400 Concours ABS that I've ridden coast to coast twice and hit 100K in 2016. When I first saw this later model supercharged Ninja I couldn't imagine such a beautifully engineered and deceptively designed powerplant on a road bike. I agree with you, Kawasaki delivered big time. The only Achilles' heal, oddly avoided imho, is the size of the fuel tank versus the thirst of that engine...It's fine for the track, but for riding on even the shortest road trip you'll find that bike is a thirsty beast...fuel economy is not a high point. :)
+DPMAce doubt it, we are running out of fossil fuels while our population is growing at an alarming rate. Disagree with me all you want but I don't think a 300HP bike will exist for too much longer
300km/h is enough for bikers. If you go after 350km/h you will be lose traction control above the asphalt, and you will be thrown to air in just a second.
This Video is what sold me on getting one! Thankyou Mr Leno! Without this video i doubt i would have my 2016 H2. considering before this video and 650 Ib i had no idea about this bike!
Busa, 1100 kawi and the mighty 1100 xx were hyper bikes once. I believe political correctness( gentlemens agreement, regulations etc) killed that, now most stock ss bikes are faster.
@@bugraerkan2663 that may be true. But Kawa in the H2R is really in a class of its own for a few reasons. 1) it's forced induction, from the factory, all developed in house. Kawa didn't go out and slap on a turbo from a third party. Only Kawa could do this because of their turbine division. 2) H2R is probably the only forced induction bike that isn't setup for mainly drag, i.e, it can actually turn and maybe even be fun in the twisties in the right hand (but I'd be scared shitless).
Good work Mr. Leno! THAT looks SEXY!! Hope to see you again on Mulhuland drive! Now the race to see which one of us does a review on this bike first! :D *****

Yes and a Vmax is still 0-60 in 2.4
The H2 does 0-60 in 2.6 seconds
Cory Couch and the Tesla Model S Raven is 2.3 seconds. Missing your point.
A h2r is only track legal and is 55k. The street legal h2 is about 30k-40k
I have been riding motorcycles for along time and I don't get scared . This bike rite here made me re think that . Statement oh my goodness what a proper beast of a motor cycle . You punch it and it feels like you got rear-ended by a rocket ship. Great job Jay .
“The greatest thing about this bike is the seat” ITS 300HP!!! 😂
but youll never use 150 of that hp anyway and you will use all of the seat every day. it's this pragmatism that makes him rich lol
one more item added to my " I WILL NEVER BE ABLE TO BUY" list.
Even if you could afford the bike i don't think so its street legal in most countries.
Buy a hayabusa. A new one cost about the same as a economy car.
Still no one can beat it! This is humanity's best motorcycle and be remembered forever.
Jay Leno rules! I love this guy and I don't know why lol
This guy sounds like a very bad car salesman.
Κωνσταντίνος Κουντούρης he isn't a salesman
Sounds like an annoying salesman
Κωνσταντίνος Κουντούρης he was..now he sells bikes
with maximum acceleration feel!
Lol. Product knowledge generates laydowns. Customers feel obligated to purchase if you can generate enough value, via product knowledge. He's a beast salesman which is why he's demoing the most powerful production bike ever created, in Lenos garage.
The guy presenting the bike was very well-mannered and professional. Did not say anything he shouldn’t have. Awesome job by him.
Man do I love old timey ads.
I cried a little...
Fa Tee It's ok, I came a little
Ashton Hartley 😂😂😂
The sound of that supercharger was incredible.
14:07 ... "We gotta get one of these"
This just might be enough to draw me back into the bike game. Thanks for this very special unveil Jay. I love that you have the exact same taste as I do being a 25 year old motoring enthusiast from a small town in Arkansas. You are a true hardcore enthusiast! Thanks for sharing our passions!
Love the cold revs thankful Jay is 12 on the inside
That was one hell of a Kawasaki commercial 🤘🏽
"Why 1000 cc?"
"Bla bla bla saying random meaningless stuff not answering the question in anyway"
its a racing category
Difference between an engineer and marketing guy.
So funny to read this as I was listening to that and thinking the exact same thing :')
They chose your place because you are the man
No,,,,,, THE MAN.
Great vid keep em coming
The H2R sounded like some kind of prehistoric apex predator lol
If that ad was on TH-cam
I would actually watch it
You know you're old when you look at a supercharged, 300hp motorcycle and go, "You know, this seat is the greatest thing ever."
6 years later I still heard it growl at me when they took the cover off.
It's funny how this guy doesn't answer any questions at all
Jay: "why did kawasaki choose the 1000cc rather than the 1400?"
The guy "Kawasaki designed the bike to produce the fastest and fun experience"
+Shieldy Meister You must have missed the part where he said they wanted to based it on the sport bike class - 1000cc. It's a sport bike that can put the hyper bikes - 1400cc to sleep, that was the idea. Did we watch the same video?
+Shieldy Meister even so the 1000 is to much already, the poor bike simply does not cool any special way, it's a sport bike on steroids with a super charger and not enough cooling application. to run it on the street and expect to outperform anything even with 1400 cc is going to be difficult because once it runs hot all that performance drops. everywhere I have seen these bikes at all bike shows they are either the H2R and not street legal, or they are the H2 and are nothing more then a show bike.
paul enzor ....
@@CyrusTVirus How you feel about the H2 now?
That part bugged me too; but what bothered me is that jay interrupted him before he finished.
I'm a forever die hard Gixxer Guy since the way back days of 92. Still ride at 48 and have 4 in my stable. But this creature is something different. Just pure beauty on 2 tires.
lol I can't even handle 120hp on a CBR600 and I can't imagine how crazy this would be...
Colby Steele trash
xxGoesCrazyx X You play Fortnite and the crew 2 and post it on TH-cam. I doubt you ride anything bigger 😂
Yikes. Time to grow upp
@@cwkd2160 Haha nice job catching the poser!
I can't handle 40 horses on my rc 390 , let alone a cbr 600
I remember when I was in awe over a car that had 300 HP. Now they're putting that in a bike! INSANITY.
The Mercedes glb amg has 6 more horsepower than this superbike!!
Why have I never seen this? Thanks brother. If I had the money. Neither of them would ever left my garage.
This kawasaki guy tries his best to explain stuff and before he finishes jay is like "oh and what is this thing?" Like an unpatient child😂😂
Man he had me freaking out over putting his hands all over the gas tank. Never seen anyone finger bang a bike like that
Its a bike. You dont own.. why do you care?
Yeah almost felt like he violated the bike, my brain screamed “WTF!!” as if the bike was a woman...STRANGE!!
@@famousbowl9926 You're obviously not a biker.
Revs it cold 🥶
Get off the mark on that thing at full throttle and your hair will catch on fire!
BTW, I for one, think Jay Leno's Garage was the perfect place to unveil this Super
Bike! Of all the shows and places out there dedicated to cars and motorbikes and personal road transportation in general, this is by far my favorite!
That PR guy seems like he doesn't know anything. Just keeps saying vague things and agreeing with Jay. Why does he even have that job.
I can do better.
I think it’s mostly because at the time he couldn’t release key details or speculate about the bike publicly. So he had a pre approved bank of terms and marketing strategies to use. But I agree, doesn’t seem very knowledgeable.
That’s what PR does. Because at the time details were scarce and being kept mostly secret, he had to watch what he said VERY carefully.
opening video
🤣🤣🤣👏👍
😂😂😂
0:24 That’s one of the dirtiest yet funniest sh!t I’ve ever seen on a motorcycle ad
The craftsmanship on these bikes has got to be seen to be believed.
Let jay ride it !
guy drops off a beast of machine and leno says "im most impressed with the seat"...
Almost 10 years later, it's STILL the King of the Hill!
In 10 - 15 years this will be obsolete if you can believe it
5 years, the way bike tech is advancing these days.
+DPMAce doubt it, we are running out of fossil fuels while our population is growing at an alarming rate. Disagree with me all you want but I don't think a 300HP bike will exist for too much longer
+Nolan Gormley they been saying that for a while and vehicles keep getting more and more power
+konic40 once they dont go with that quite electric bs I'm cool
+MushroomTip electric wouldn't be bad, if it was developed more. They don't need transmissions and they can deliver full torque in a flash.
Ultra High Speed ? 300 is Ultra enough ..
angkat bro sebijik ...tp harga manndii..
300hp on less than 500lb is more than ultra. That H2R sounds like armageddon, cant wait to try that beauty.
upload some vids when you do..
300km/h is enough for bikers. If you go after 350km/h you will be lose traction control above the asphalt, and you will be thrown to air in just a second.
Netto Nenet ghostrid did 354 if I remember right
This Video is what sold me on getting one! Thankyou Mr Leno! Without this video i doubt i would have my 2016 H2. considering before this video and 650 Ib i had no idea about this bike!
oh that sound!!!!! EARGASM PLUS AN ERECTION!!!!
ear-ection*
KCMOto haha!!!!
Vol deMort and that’s just because you saw me, wait till you see this bike
More like tinnitus with chopping off your man sausage
You need help
Michael Dunlop took a trophy with that new bike at TT Isle of Man 2019
I am 17 and just got my bike licence...this looks a perfect bike for me...the expert rider.
Who still watching it in 2019?
You're old school. It's 2020 now we're in the future
@@macbook802 💯🤣
2020 ... because youtube alorithm
2021
2022 my guy
My Bike is 300cc but this things got 300Hp 😧😱 this is gonna kill me 😂
5 years after its introduction, it's still in a class of its own. There are lots of hyper cars, but only 1 hyper motorcycle.
I miss the old Kawasaki green.
All the fairings used to be green
BRING IT BACK
The ultimate ninja its always in black suit
Good work Mr. Leno! THAT looks SEXY!! Hope to see you again on Mulhuland drive! Now the race to see which one of us does a review on this bike first! :D
*****
love the sound of that turbo charge men giving chills
LA Farrari ? this bike will smoke the likes of koenigsegg & buggattis
+bannajirocks yet Kawasaki is too scared to race in motogp ;) Yamaha > Kawasaki
+David Allen lol yamaha just fucking sucks though. kawasaki h2r is beast.
Royson Tong werid cuz yamaha has 196 more points than any other manufacture atm, but who cares about stats ;)
+David Allen yea mate who cares about stats though.
+bannajirocks but will it smoke a 500 horsepower Hayabusa?
