Thank you for such an informative video that stays on point, doesn't include useless graphics and music, and has clear and understandable images. You gained a new subscriber.
Thank you, Sir, for your video. I'm the 4th owner of a 2002 SC2, with just over 141,000 miles on it, and it looks like the video will help me with an idle issue.
Thank you very much, I've learn how to remove that small barrel. That hose on the back is also very helpful information. In general it is very ordered and informative film.
7:21 "Burns oil" Ahh, thank you; I was awfully curious as to why the carbon deposits inside the chassis that the throttle connects to were oily....grabbed a tablespoon and it looked like I was scooping brownie batter out of there
Hello, I have a saturn sc2 2000. I recently did an engine rebuild and when I was finished, there is an open hole that looks like a vacuum line that sucks in on the bottom of the throttle body, is that supposed to connect to something? I know it's not for secondary air intake or diverter valve. I don't know what else it could be, help me please
2:33 What does the hose go to ? and there are 3 sensors there, 2 to the throttle and the one that was not disconnected is for? I have issues with the idle at red lights and POOR acceleration on take off. I will be replacing the Idle air valve and the throttle position sensor when cleaning the throttle body.
It's built into the throttle body unfortunately, which means the whole throttle body has to be replaced if it goes bad. I believe that is what's giving me a problem now in my 2002, sluggish and jolting when accelerating.
Thank you for the film. Pls could you tell the names of the sprays used? I can't find the green one, found one on Amazon (spray for Throttle Body and Air-Intake), but it is red. It would be good to know which particular cleaner you used for that project.
Olena, I assume that the green can is non-chlorinated brake cleaner. Chlorinated brake cleaner usually comes in a red can. While brake cleaner is inexpensive, multipurpose, and easy to find, IME, CRC brand Throttle Body Cleaner is more effective for this job. The grey can is CRC electronic contact cleaner.
@@ivermec-tin666 Thank you, I've learned a lot about different chemicals to be applied on car parts, but it didn't come to my attention about that chlorine additive in the brake cleaner. CRC is definitely a very good brand. Thank you again.

thank you for this vid, this will help my greatly when i go to clean and replace my TPS.
The electronics were both torx t20 not t25 in my case (2001 sc2)
I was going to say that myself, yes they are T20 for most saturns
thank you ,very helpful video
