I was super lucky to see Jordan fisher’s final performance as Evan Hansen and it was breathtaking. Not only does he have an incredible voice but his acting was incredible.
Ben Levi Ross channels the character's pain into his singing so heartbreakingly. I love hearing the variety of voices and they're all wonderful and individual, but BLR is the one for me.
ben platt’s vibrato is iconic, andrew and noah’s tone is perfect, BEN ROSS’ CLARITY AND VIBRATO OMG, and jordan’s deeper tone☺️, i love them all (ps they did NOT need to autotune ben that much in the movie)

I love Ben Levi Ross for his outstanding vocals, and I like Sam's youth and vulnerability, but no one touches Ben Platt for his intensity and the impact of his performance.
They are all brilliant, but for me Sam Tutty is just incredible - I'm so happy that I had the opportunity to see him at Noel Coward Theatre in the West End. Ben Platt absolutely slays and obviously has that beautiful natural vibrato, but Sam really just has that voice which just gets me every single time. It takes a careful balance of vocal maturity, yet youthful charisma to maintain such performances of calibre for 5-7 shows per week. I feel like Sam's faultless and effortless transitions between chest voice, to head voice, to falsetto are just absolutely insane. One to watch for the future after Dear Evan Hansen sadly closes its doors for the final time.

Ben Platt IS Evan Hansen. His performance here is running around the stage at the Tonys singing live with enormous emotional energy. The others are stationary at a mike. How is that in any way a comparison??? That Ben gave the superb rendering that he did is extraordinary. The others are good and worthy renditions, just not in the same stratosphere as BSP

Sam Tuttys performance is really touching bc hes just so believable in the role as a teen going through all this stuff. Of course Ben Platts vocal precison and intensity is stunning.
I’ve seen Sam in the West End early this month and I was in tears! His voice and acting were moving! Sad that they’ll close the curtains on the 22nd! 😢
God, Sam is really good! I dont have a favorite, but DAMN dude, 8 shows a week for 4 YEARS?! Except for the sliver of time that was taken off from 2020, he's been doing really well. Especially since he is british, and talking in that accent, it becomes like your second tongue!

This is a very unfair comparison... the quality of recordings is all over the place!! Ben Platt, Sam Tutty, and Robert Markus are the best in that order. However, I am basing opinion on having heard good recordings of each of these guys. The recordings of Sam Tutty and Robert Markus on this post are quite poor and does not show their actual abilities. Ben Platt is the number one because the role was specifically written for his voice. He also workshopped the role in various cities for over 3 years prior to debuting on Broadway.
Obviously I am very critical of the movie, but one thing I did like about it is how the vocals matched the acoustics of the surrounding area as a form of immersion, thats what a film can do that a play cannot, its a shame the cast recording was shown here

My best guess is because it’s a performance from an awards show and they will have had a time slot within which the song had to fit, they sped it up slightly in order to be able to sing the full song. When watching the full stage show the song is done at the normal speed.
Sams voice just hits different, it’s one of the voices that just cuts through you’re heart and makes you smile and cry💕
