Many of the Volvo Penta engines from this era is very similar, so most of this series will be relevant for owners of other engines including tamd and tmd series, D and AD series from 1988- 1993, AQAD series and KAD series. An excellent series of videos. I've got a pair of TAMD31Ps. 1 of which shows corrosion on the outer rear cover of the oil cooler. I intend to overhaul this winter so finding this video was timely. Thank You.

Yes I'm in Auckland to. I have AD41P-A. Just had the worst time getting run around. Taken 3 years to get it reconditioned. Covid didn't help. Engine will be going in this week.

Great info , thanks so much. Have 2 of these earlier 1987 ones. Got one aftercooler insert out but other one seems jammed.Any ideas how to free it and lift it? Also what is the red sealant you used to assemble the housing to the engine block?

Just what I was looking for as well.
I am having issues with my Volvo KAMD 300 engine (450hrs) which appears to be producing a lot of steam at the exhaust and the temperature is also going up a bit. We have checked all of the usual raw water culprits (no change). We have also just had the injectors serviced and they are about to be re-installed. If that doesn’t fix it, could a faulty aftercooler cause these symptoms?
How do you best clean the inlet? Is aftercooler and laddluftkylare same thing? Have a kad32p and thinking about cleaning the inlet
