The first time my

My son is 11 years old, he is autistic non speaking. He uses a communication device to talk. It’s also called an AAC device or a talker.
He started using his device when he was 4 years old but didn’t really start using it all the time until he was 8 years old.
He can read and type using his device and just recently started to have conversations with me.
When I drop him off at school, I like to have conversations with him before school. I film them because I never know what he will say. I filmed him saying I love you to me for the first time unprompted!!!
Last week he asked me a question for the first time.
Today, he told me what he wanted from the store for the first time.
His progression is amazing. I’m so proud of him.
