Just bought front mud shields myself, had my footwells repaired last year, need to protect them so I don’t have to do them again in the future, hopefully.
Another great kit from Gwyn lewis. Have the full set on my Puma pickup which used the same as yours. The late model pumas had a stepped wheel arch which is why a second kit is available for them. Didn't know you had a Border Terrier cute dog.
Great kit guys but be careful when reversing up against any bank off road, talking from experience my rear series 3 mudflaps regularly went missing off road if I forgot to tie them up out if harms way but I love the idea of protecting my chassis too, weld done for making the vid 👍
I’m doing this job right now, I spent 3 hours trying to get the screws out of the rear hopeless plastic guard, no angle grinder (yet) front ones very easy to fit.
Have you guys ever done anything in terms of trying to tackle corrosion on the defender body panels? And if so do you have any advice on the topic? Could make for a cool video
Good video on the kit! Would help me look after my own TD5. Have you guys considered replacing the transfer case in the Defender to a disco one? Would be interesting seeing a comparison from you guys regarding the drivability of the different ratios, speed/ acceleration etc. Just food for thought.
Zee I cannot believe Defender does not have inner mud protection!!!?!?!?!? Body is just a decoration?? I need stick head down there when I am ready to buy one! Must have kit for Off road Defenders! Or I should only drive it when weather is nice!?!?!?

Great kit, should’ve been fitted from factory. Gwyn is a real gent, knowledgeable, friendly & very easy to deal with.

Love Gwyn lewis, they make top notch gear. Have you guys looked at their weld on diff pans. The best way to protect your diff off road!

Agree, certainly an ongoing battle in my Disco which is compounded by the salt mix used in my area during the winter months.
We haven't, but could be something we look into this year.

Not really, the mud shields completely block off the vulnerable areas of the chassis. I haven’t noticed any build up of mud, they work really well.
