It’s me again! I responded to a message someone just posted. I’ve made hundreds of these soap sacks (since i watched your video 8 months ago) and donated the last group I made to Garage sales against violence! Marina makes care packages for women’s shelters and survivors of DV. October is Domestic violence awareness month so I made her purple soap sacks! Hope you are well!
Thank you so much for that! That is a great cause. I donated soooo many beanies to a homeless shelter near me last year, but I didn’t even think about soap savers. They are so useful and needed! Plus they are so quick to make! I really appreciate you reminding me and also just supporting my channel in general. Thank you 💜
Just made one of these and this was such a fun project! I'm very excited to make more to donate to some local shelters. Fantastic video, thanks so much for this tutorial. Followed it every step of the way and had zero issues. And I LOVE the cinch/hanging loop!
Thank you so much! I noticed someone was donating these to their local shelter, so I am making some as well! I have A LOT of beanies I was going to donate, so now I can add these and a case of soap! Thank you so much!!! I really appreciate you taking the time to comment. Happy crocheting kind friend!
This is by far the best and the most effective pattern I’ve ever tried. It is so easy to follow and it turns out so beautiful. Thank you so much for sharing this amazing pattern. Bravo👏
Thank you for this nice project! I just hit the wrong symbol by mistake (thumb down), and changed it right away. Pay no attention to the first reaction, as I thought it was a clear presentation and a lovely little project!
Courious, is Gauging gadgets really your husband? He commented on a post I made in my RAOCK group! So happy my group is watching your video. My post kind of went viral. Over 1200 likes! Thanks for a great video to share!
Yes he is!!! I saw that my soap saver had a lot of views from an external link, so I asked him to look into it and see where they were coming from lol. I don't have a FB, but he showed me your post, and I love your idea to donate these to a shelter, and I LOVE THAT YARN that you used! I am currently working on some soap savers for our local shelter because of you!!! I really, really appreciate you sharing it as well. Thank you again, and I might have to get a FB to join that group, because it seems like a bunch of nice people doing some good in the world.
@@CrochetWithJulie I actually had to just leave them around my community because of the rules of my RAOCK group, but in the future, I will be donating them to many places. We have a soup kitchen in my city I’d like to donate to, also my church food pantry. I’m probably going to join a group called S.A.C.K. for these soapsacks, it probably suits this item better! I’m glad my post helped you out, but it was because your video was so great you got so many views! Thanks for including the pattern as well! I always watch the video and write down the instructions, so it was nice to have them! Happy crocheting!
@@daphnemalinsky3596 oh wow that is interesting! I am not familiar with many FB groups, but I think it is really kind of you to take the time to create something for others. I also never considered how valuable this would be to homeless communities. Thank you again, and I hope to hear about your future crochet adventures 😍
@@daphnemalinsky3596You might also check with your local police and fire departments and hospital to see if maybe they would make good donations for domestic violence etc.
I don’t have them on me anymore, but I would guess 2.5 inches wide by 4 inches long. I order soap bars from Vermont soap and they fit great in the soap sacs.
This was, by a long shot, the easiest tutorial for these bags! Thank you so so much!

I actually made some beanies at the end of the cold season that I still have in bags. I’ll be passing them out this year!

how are these used? x
You put the soap in it and either use it with the soap still in it or keep taking the soap out and using it that way,
