Hi Roy, such a shame they removed the clock and the museum was closed but you made the most of the situation and it’s very much appreciated mate, thanks for filming, take care mate👍😃👍
Great video Roy, Its a very lovely looking station, Shame the museum was shut. Its a film i have never really watched, always just caught bits of it when its on tv, Will keep a lookout for when its next on so i watch watch the full film.
Thanks for sharing this, Roy. Really nice to see how the station is looking now. Too bad the museum part was closed but good nonetheless that you made it there. Enjoy the rest of your time away
There are big changes afoot with Carnforth Station as the trust that ran both the Retail units and the Heritage Centre are due to cease trading on the 12th or 13th of October. The Brief Encounter Cafe will continue uninterrupted. One thing that may happen is the clock returns and the hours for the museum may return to sensible times. Please give Carnforth another look in a year or so hopefully to a better situation.
Roy you are unfortunately going to have to extend your weekend away by another 2 days in order to visit the David Lean museum and check out all the charity shops.
This is great stuff, love this channel; the field trips are some of my favorite videos, along with the animals 😎
Thanks very much Matty 😀 👍 Cosmo does like to make an appearance 😀
Great video seen film on TV years back, beautiful film, need it in my collection 💿📺🎥👌🏻
Thanks Stuart 👍 shame the museum was closed as it's really interesting in there and they sell a selection of Lean films on bluray and dvd. 👍

Hey Alan 👋 yep took the shine off somewhat. We're safely back home now where I've done nothing but sleep off my exertions. Joys of getting old 😆 👍

Hi Neil thanks. The lack of the clock and no museum took the shine off a little but still a great place to visit.

@user-zs1km5wu1r thanks for that. I'm in the area 2 or 3 times a year so I will indeed return to see updates. It's such a great place to visit.
Really enjoyed this Roy 🤩🤩👌👌 very interesting and I've seen the movie long long ago but it's amazing that this heritage is still there 😁😁👍👍
Thanks John 👍 😊 it's a great visit if you're ever this way. Just a shame the museum was closed and the clock is in storage 👍

That's not a bad idea.
Despute not with the council, the owner of the clock won't release it, apparently its in his garage, what a shame.
Thank you April. Yes it is a shame. Carnforth will definitely be a better place for it's return.
