Sounds like a busy film week you have had Roy, some great watches. Always a lot of films I haven't watched, heard of Dorothy and sounds interesting. Don't see it around on sale much though

Pretty sure I used to have that Dorothy on blu ray years ago but don't recall ever watching it.. kind of one of those covers that didn't inspire me lol One I think I'll have to grab now when I see it lol Loved the Suspiria remake so you're not on your own matey 😂👍

Hi Roy, Interesting watches, Dario Argento movies i do need to be in the right mood to watch his movies, i get why "Suspiria" is a much loved supernatural cult movie classic in its style, but i slightly prefer other Argento movies like "The Bird with the Crystal Plumage" I also have that Alfred Hitchcock set & its a nice one & like yourself i started & been meaning to carry on after watching " Saboteur" it was okay for me & it did have a fine climatic ending. Keep talking movies Sir.

Great video as always Roy. Dorothy definitely sounds like an interesting watch might have to look out for that one. I'm really getting into my older Westerns so Day of the Outlaws sounds like one I should add to my list as well. I recently watched Wait Until Dark, it was one that was sitting in my to watch pile for a long time and I was pleasantly surprised, kept me hooked all the way through. Never seen Suspiria but I'm not sure if it would be my type of film, I'm not sure how different it is from the remake but I really didn't like the look of that one.

Hi Roy, will keep a lookout for Day of the outlaw, looks like my cup of tea, I have that Hitchcock boxset, had it for years and have never cracked it open, i have seen most of the films though but mostly on tv

Original suspiria is indeed a masterpiece, the 4 k Blu-ray from synapse is mind blowing mate it really is 😍🎥👌🏻, the suspiria remake for me I found ok lead actress didn't do anything from me , Tilda Swinton old man character was sooo boring and annoying, nice watches mate 👍🏻

Some great watches there Roy! I'm so glad you enjoyed Day of the Outlaw as well. Being in the Masters of Cinema collection, I should have known it was going to be great, but I was surprised at how fantastic it was. Some great misdirection I thought, and that sober dancing scene was unbelievably tense! Saboteur is one of my favourite Hitchcock films. I remember catching part of it on TV years ago but had no idea what it was, and when I bought a big Hitchock boxset I was so excited to see which one it was going to be, and I had such a great time with it. I watched it in 2022, and I couldn't believe that Norman Lloyd, had only passed away the year before! A Hitchcock video and a top directors video are great ideas!

Jonny Greenwood is the name you’re thinking of, who is a composer and member of Radiohead, Roy. He’s done work for the director, Paul Thomas Anderson (There Will Be Blood and Phantom Thread).

I love Saboteur, it’s up there as one of my favourite 'wrong man' films that Hitch did and the first time I watched Suspiria i thought 'what the hell did I just watch'? But in a good way😂

So pleased you enjoyed the 2018 ‘Suspiria’ Roy; maybe it just caught me on the wrong day; hopefully I may return to it one day with fresh eyes and find more appreciation from it; the score from Thom Yorke was the best part of the movie; big Radiohead fan; seen them live in 2017; amazing gig 🤩 I love to see a Top 10 Directors video from you at some point buddy; also ‘Wait Until Dark’ a really great film mate; fantastic chilling Thriller! Hi Roy, "Delta Force 2" is not a patch on the first movie & the budget was thin on the ground for Cannon, i"ve not seen "Red Dawn" for years & actually don"t own, unpopular opinion but i preferred the remake of "The Talking of Pelham 123" slightly, "Striking Distance" is decent without being great, i"m 25 mins away from Milton Keynes. "The Big Gundown" is a great one & is one of the big hitters outside the Leone movies, "Run, man run" is the sequel which you have, Tomas Milian is fantastic in both movies Roy.

I have The masterpiece collection and North by Nortwest, I am after Jamaica inn and i watched Dial M for murder a couple of nights ago and thought it was fantastic

The Big Gundown is top Spaghetti. Watch the longest version, it is the best by far. I have the boxset, also a four disc edition from Grindhouse in the USA which has the soundtrack as well! 👍

Dreamcatcher is a Stephen King, not one of his best. If that version has the alternative ending, watch that instead of the original theatrical cut. Makes a bit more sense, I think. I think it would have worked better as a two or three part mini series.

I have the Big Gundown, and Sheriff of Fractured Jaw; but have yet to watch them Roy. Be interested to hear your thoughts if you get round to them before me. I also have, and watched, the 3 westerns on that set you have. You're right, they're all great films. Barquero is the correct name Roy; and stars Lee Van Cleef. It's my favourite of the 3 on there; and even though American produced; has the feeling of a spaghetti western imo. I know the one you were thinking of - Bandolero. Don't own it, but seen it on TV. It does star James Stewart, and Raquel Welch.👍

Great video Roy, I really enjoy Romancing the Stone, it's a shame it's heavily OOP now because that's one I would want in my collection, haven't seen The Jewel of the Nile yet. Will add Walkabout to my list to watch sounds interesting. I loved Far From Heaven, might be my favourite Todd Haynes film that I have seen but it definitely doesn't put you in an uplifting mood. Nice movie choices this week Roy, love Romancing The Stone, I agree it was unfairly compared to Raiders at the time. You’re right there is a blu-ray of Walkabout (i have it in the collection) Jenny was 19 when they filmed it 😬 yeah Eyewitness is a slow burn but I find anything starring William Hurt tends to be drawn out (maybe it’s just him 😆) The Pawnbroker is a powerful film, I was lucky enough to get a copy to review from Imprint Films 👍nice one Roy, take care mate👍😃👍

Absolutely stellar week of watches there Roy! Romancing the Stone is such a classic, I'd love to give that film and the sequel a re-watch. Definitely ones I need to track down on bluray. I thought Walkabout was amazing as well. It was one that I couldn't shake for a while after I watched it, harrowing but strangely uplifting in parts as well. So glad you enjoyed Ship of Fools. I totally agree that it didn't feel like 2 and a half hours at all, such an engaging watch! You've really got me interested in that Pabst double set from Eureka. Shame that it's not in their 25% off sale at the moment or I would have gone for it straight away. Loving the Blu-Roy Towers sign as well!

Hey Roy; great watches mate 😀🍿🎸🎶 I may check out ‘Eyewitness’ at some point down the line; I got that other Jodie Foster film to watch which is called ‘The Five Corners’ 😊👍 Heard great things about ‘Walkabout’; did really like ‘Don’t Look Now’; saw it last month; that ending 😱 When Indicator next have a sale on mate; I may just pick up the film ‘Ship Of Fools’ after you speaking so highly of it and that film with Julianne Moore; intrigued me from the premise! Hi Roy, Good to see Western movie fans out there, 😎👍, didn"t see this video in the community, if interested myself, Dan"s movie cave & 101Bronson have been doing a Westerns For Life Podcast with varied episodes of classic, modern & spaghetti westerns it might spike your interest as we all feel that westerns are way overlooked in our movie collecting community. The episodes are on our channels on playlists, yes westerns weren"t really in many UK video stores back in the day, & i love the fact that westerns are out there, but still more attention for these great movies should be out there more. "Quigley down under" is underrated, "Seraphim Falls" is a decent one but runs out of steam in the end, good to see the classics in your collection with John Wayne & James Stewart, i"d recommend "The Big Gundown" & most westerns with Lee Van Cleef, & is the first movie then "Run, man, run" with the Tomas Milian character, try some Franco Nero ones like "Django" & "The Mercenary" "Brimstone" is a tough watch, "Hostiles" i enjoyed, " fine collection Roy.

Hi Roy, Huge Chuck Norris fan i"m sorry to hear this, as a fan of his action movies we still come up short compared to other countries worldwide, in certain movies are not available & you"re only region B then Germany is your best bet as there"s many releases in media books, box sets & single releases & if you"re region free like myself then the U.S releases have a vast selection & have released several from his career in 4K. A 101 films release of it in UK which you can get under £10, & i did do a 30 min video of my Chuck Norris collection a few years which might help info wise, hope you eventually get a copy eventually.

Hi Roy, Some fine watches, you certainly haven"t wasted your time, iconic movie "A fistful of dollars" a movie that"s impossible to miss & watch, totally agree in your thoughts on "Romancing the stone" a forgotten action & adventure movie & Douglas, Tunner & De Vito were great in their three movies together & fitting last movie together in "The War of the Roses" i always mix my movie genres in my movie viewings as i go along. Keep talking movies Sir.

I love far from heaven I also love the colour tones in the movie. I bought it on Blu-ray from Germany

I love Romancing the Stone, probably more than Indy 2,3 & 4 tbh and I’ve never liked The Dollars Trilogy as much I should or want to but what can you do.

Hi Roy. Thanks for making me question whether it was Sunday or not. I have seen all of these except for Kameradschaft. When I saw Eyewitness it was originally under the title The Janitor. Love Walkabout, Romancing the Stone and Fistful, and Steiger gives one of his best performances in The Pawnbroker, I’m not always a fan of him. Far From Heaven is great and influenced by Douglas Sirk movies. Not sure if you are a fan of Sirk?
