Recently started following your channel, and you are inspiring and a creative genius! Congratulations on creating such a wonderful home! Hello from the Canadian Rocky Mountains in British Columbia 🇨🇦!
I live a 5 minutes drive from you. Its so fun to se you transform the old run down schoolhouse. You are doing an amazing job and I love to see it done up☺️☺️☺️🍁🍁🍁
Thank you 😀 Klippan or Munka Ljungby? It's fun to see it happen myself too. The transformation becomes more clear when you edit and film like this, gives you perspective thats easy to loose when you're in the middle of it
@@old_school_moaboa I live just outside Källna😊 Im also renovating my house, right now Im building a walk in pantry för all the food😊😊not such a large project but fun😀😀
We’ve all tried it - at the end of a hard working day you are tired and don’t focus … and s*** happens. Sorry but you handled it great, with your eternal optimism 😃 Love your videos 🙏
Moa,I hope your so very proud of all your accomplishments...even the mistakes lol ....I'm proud of you.Thats 1 thing I just can't seem to do start the blower or the chain saw.haha now at 67 heehee I'm too old to care...Your doing wonderful on your home labored sweet home.😂
So inspiring Moa the way you approach every task. Looks stunning with the view from your house. Look forward to the painting next time. I like the way you style the rooms also. The garden is taking shape and the hens are so 🥰 cute. What a lovely environment for them.
Thank you, I am so happy I get to create all of this just the way I want it, that's one of the things that gives me the energy to do all of the hard work. To go creative at the end of each restoration 😀
Good job starting the chainsaw and changing the chains out. Chickens show up on cue to forage.😊 Cleaning up after cutting the trees is just as big a job as the cutting. We cleaned up an alley way on our property 2 weeks ago like that. It opened up a vista to a meadow beyond and see deers foraging along the property line. Well worth the effort.
Yes! It's actually the same colour as was used when it was built in 1920. Well, as we have tried to. The company that makes the lime paint were given a few samples but you can't tell how close they came to the same colour until it's up there on the wall 🙂
It’s really coming along, you should be very proud of yourself. Can I give some gentle feedback? When you’re showing the sped up footage, I would suggest cutting the original audio and just have the music over the top. Also when you’re talking with music over the top it’s hard to hear you, on that note I would suggest investing in a cheap microphone so we can hear you better when you’re working like a she-boss in the garden ☺️
Recently subscribed and going through the shorts and videos. You are a trooper and have made excellent progress. You have amazing skills and determination. You should be well pleased within yourself.
Also don't forget, everytime you put gaz in your chainsaw, you also put oil for the chain ... or you have a different chainsaw, but normaly that's what we do ;) have fun.
I'm sure someone already told you that you can sharpen the chain many times with a special round file that matches the chain. Takes 5 minutes and saves money and the hazzle to change the chain when its getting blunt. Subscribed!
Love seeing all your progress. Your place is so lovely. Could you explain the tool/machine you use to strip the paint off the window sill? Is it a heater of some kind? If so, how do you make sure that you don't set the wood on fire? I have four doors from the 1800s that I want to strip the paint from and refinish, so I'm looking for the best tools to use. My guess is that they are painted with linseed oil paint, maybe with a layer or two of acrylic (or lead?) paint on top. Would you recommend what you use in this video? Thanks in advance for any information and advice :-)
It's called a speedheater. Sometimes I have burned the wood superficially, but that's because I scrape while it heats simutaneously. You would have to leave it for a long time for it to catch fire, but 20 seconds is all you need. I can definetly recommend the speedheater, especially since you don't need to protect yourself when removing even lead paint (but where protection when you sand it after). It's an investment, but it saved so much time I think and less messy than chemical paint strippers. And more eco friendly to not use chemicals. They have lots of Q&A on their website www.speedheater.com
In the region called Scania. It's the most southern region 😁 i work in the city of Helsingborg, closest to Denmark in Sweden. I have some theoretical knowledge as I am a civil engineer and have had courses like Wooden houses (I studied in Norway). But I have renovated some with my ex when we owned a semi detached house in Norway. Then I gutted and renovated a cabin on my own in Helsingborg. In school we learn basic woodworking and textile crafts. And I grew up with a single mom who needed me to build the ikea furniture and hang up things on walls 😄 that's all. And I guess I have handiness and creativity in my genes from my father's side which helps a lot even though I never really knew him and met him as an adult (I made a vlog about my past in E21). After 18, I only met him again when he was very ill and I went to meet him with my brother as he was expected to not live for much longer and he died a week later after our visit. He was an alcoholic and heroinist 😞 apart from this I love to learn new skills, that's why I have taken on such a project like this. To get the opportunity to learn as many skills this world can throw my way 😉
Привет из Западного Казахстана. Вы удивительный человек!. Всё умеете сами и вам помощники мужчины не нужны. Как так получается,что вы сами всему научились?. Вы супер милая девушка!❤.
Wow all the way from Kazakstan! I would live to visit your country one day. I made plans to go there but then covid hit and now I have this project to attend to 😀 check out vlog E21, I tell a lot about my history there and answer this question briefly. I don't know, there are many factors but here in Sweden many people do DIY and renovate their homes on their own as contractors and handymen are expensive. We often have a good work life balance, so we also have the opportunity to do this on our spare time. We also learn basic woodworking and textile crafts in school, both boys and girls. I am an engineer, so I know the basics of a house's structure. And I workout, so I am strong enough. And have the confidence, curiosity to learn and will power 😀 that's all I need
Oh yeah, I forgot to mention this. It's a plug that kills the tree stump. It's poison I'm afraid. Normally this is something I avoid at all costs, I want to do it the eco way. But these trees are dangering the foundation of my house and I can't rent a digger right now and create a new big project so this was the only way I think. I bought a big bag a couple of months ago and now they have forbidden to sell these in Sweden. The plugg were made from a product popular known as Roundup here in Sweden
@@old_school_moaboa Ohhh ok...I figured it was something like that. I've also read in an old farmer's almanac here in the US, that you can drill holes in the branches or stump and get them wet, then liberally dump epsom salt on it and cover it with a tarp for a week or so and that breaks the stump down and you can just pull it out. I've not tried it yet, but I plan to. ;D
@@Skynyj interesting, maybe I could try it on other tree stumps. But wouldn't it take years for salt to break down wood? Salt is used to preserve things, I would have guessed it would preserve it instead 🙈 but I have to try it!
@@Skynyj yes, epsom salt and instead of tarp you can melt candle wax to seal the drill hole. @old_school_moaboa it works to 'burn' the tree by overfertilisating and works surprisingly quickly.
No need for musical background when you're outside and trying to explain things. There's too much going on and we can't hear you. I have never had any luck saving bulbs so I'm watching carefully. It's crazy good how much work you've done!
The lime paint will be a replica of the colour the walls used to be in, a hint can be seen in older vlogs, there you see the remains of it. It's a pinkish terrracotta colour, a very warm old fashioned pink I would say.
Truly like your videos - fan here!

Great progress! Lovely to see the hens inspecting the gardening work as usual!
Yes they are a great company in the garden 😁

Well it helps if I use it often, did you notice I didn't need the manual at the end? Practice makes perfect 😉
Who else has beautiful autumn weather? We have been really lucky here in Southern Sweden the kast couple of weeks 🍁🍁

I’m amazed how much you’ve done so far. Well done!
Thank you 😁
Clearly you have a vision of where you're headed and it's fascinating to see it all come together step by step.
You have good taste in music!
That reminds me, I should probably share my garden plans and maybe do a tour of the garden. Maybe in the spring, when it's green again :-)
Thank you!

Thank you for watching 😀
So much great progress 👏! Have a great rest of your week! ❤
Thank you! I am having a great week and I hope you are too 😀
Looks amazing! Love it!
Yay :-)
Great job as usual.
Thanks :-)
I love growing amaryllis. Your pink striped ones are nice.
I hope they will blossom like that 🤞🤞

I probably should've. I check oil once in a while but that sounds like a great rule 👍
