Thank you for sharing your story! Your adventurous and resilient spirit resonates with me and is inspiring. I’m looking forward to learning more from your renovation projects as you continue to build your life and home. Sending good cheer for a joyful season shared with good friends and good food!
Thank you for sharing your journey, harrowing as it has been. You have survived so much with grace. Growing up with addiction is hard, and you got a double whammy with your mom’s illness. Thank you for your vulnerability. I’m sure it will benefit more than a few viewers. I’m so glad you are gifting yourself with a life YOU want. Your creativity both in skills and life are amazing. I, too, have restored old houses for the better part of 50 years. I am dreaming of meeting you. Cheers!
Breathtaking. So very sorry about your Mum, and also your Dad. But you are living their dream. To see clearly where you want life to take you and be able to manifest that as a reality, without causing harm or hurt to another soul, but by restoring the precious skills and caring approach that has been so lost and easily forgotten in the world, is a truly wonderful thing. Thank you so much for sharing your journey Moaboa.❤
Hello from Quebec Canada have been following your renovation videos and now your back story your zest for life and new experiences is wonderful how you navigate through the challenges shows such determination and imagination wishing you all the best .
Wow. So much admiration for you I’m so very sorry you lost your mum she would be so proud of you you have an amazing attitude with some mad skills. I’ve been watching your videos for some time love from Australia 🇦🇺
@@old_school_moaboa Sorry for your loss, Moa. Part-way into this video I thought what wonderful friends you have and then, towards the end, thought what a good friend you must be; it shows in the way you communicate with us, your listeners.
The spirits of our loved ones are always guiding us and helping us when we listen. I am sure your mom had a helping hand in bringing the house your way again. your father and mother definitely passed down some amazing do it yourself attitude and I am so impressed with your skill level. I look forward to watching more of your renovation videos. You’re amazing.
Heavens above, how hard was it to make this beautiful video? I appreciate your openness and honesty. You have given me a much better idea of what drives your plans for the old school house. Peace be with you.
Thank you 😁 well it took all me free time this week but many hours was spent on looking through a old photoalbums and digitizing photos but that great to have anyway 😁
Thank you so much for sharing your story with us. I am writing from Peterborough, On. Canada and was directed to your videos as I enjoy watching reno videos. You are so brave and have endured a lot. Let me extend my condolences on the loss of your Mom. That much have been horrid. Can't wait to follow along your story.
You are truly an inspiration - I know your mother was/is so proud of you. My own daughters are slightly older than you and although successful business women they don't have the drive to accomplish new tasks that you do. Keep up your vlogs - watching from (near Toronto) Canada - you have a lot to teach people about resilience and drive. Although seeing this so many months past I send you condolences for the loss of your mother.
I am stunned. I think you must be the most interesting person in the planet. You deserve all the fruits of your incredible hard work. (Editing to add: I had been watching your house videos and wondering where you draw all this strength and courage and also knowledge. Now I know. Hugs from a far away mother of daughters who is immensely proud of you)
Now I admire you even more! I, too, had a difficult family situation, and I believe it made me independent and comfortable being by myself, too. I am American and bought a house before I was 30 and learned to refurbish it. I sold it 6 years later and moved to Germany for a job. Then I lived my other passion like you--travel. I have worked on 2 more houses since and continue to travel as much as possible. This summer, I spent 3 weeks in Norway doing a solo trip. I love to watch you vlog and cheer you on every time! Sorry for your losses, but I am glad ithas made you who you are! 🥰
That's amazing to hear, I am glad you follow your dreams! I too spent a few weeks in Norway but last summer. Drove around for two weeks to discover parts of Norway I hadnt seen when I lived there and visited friends in Stavanger, Bergen and Oslo. How did you like it?
I’m so sorry for your loss. I listen to my mother when I was 28 yrs old. I lost my sister during the pandemic. I’m so glad the house chose you. Keep going. I’d love to come visit you. I am a photographer in the states. One day we will meet!!
Thank you for sharing the story of your life and family, heartbreaking to hear but still you found youre way in this life and honoring you're parents with this mega project. Lost my father very young and my mother also died of cancer. This only shows that we need to honor them by living an happy life and remember them in youre hart. I am now living as a single dad with my 2 daughters and enjoying every day on this planet. Keep up the good work.
Your Mother would be so proud of you, you are a very intelligent and hardworking lady, just like she was. I’m sure your Mum had a spiritual hand in you getting that house, and will be there every step of the adventure with you. Best wishes sweetheart ( from an old Mum of 4) from Australia x
I, too, recently lost my mother on 5 November, 2023. I have been fighting my own battle with cancer, chronic lymphocytic leukemia, since 2017. However, my mom was 99 years old when she passed and was living independently and driving until she had a health crisis in July 2021 and needed to go into assisted living. In August of 2021, I got us both into a retirement community, cleared out her house and sold it, downsized my own apartment, and set up our new apartment we leased in the retirement community. In 2022, mom had to move to the skilled nursing facility in the retirement community. Her passing was sudden, but not really a surprise. We lost.my dad in 2015. I applaud your desire to renovation and restore this old school, especially your desire to share the experience with others around the world both virtually and in person. You have just gained a new subscriber.
Thank you and I'm so sorry about your losses 💔 must be so tough when at the same time being so low physically. Must make the way up so much harder. But you seem like a woman of action, taking action to move and prepare yourself like that! Very impressive and you got some time with your mother as well. Well done and I hope you are getting better every day ❤️
Well you are amazing at what you do, I just came across your channel and I'm glad I did, everything you've done looks beautiful, you are very encouraging to watch, your mom would be so proud of what you've accomplished. I look forward to viewing it as you go. Thanks for sharing about yourself and your journey. Viewing from America.❤

Well done you, such talent and inspirations are a feast to watch. Keep on sharing your videos, of which I binge watch and thoroughly enjoy. LOVE LOVE LOVE your videos.
Thank you for sharing! It's heartbreaking with your parents story, and wonderful with all your travels! I wish your father strength to one day break free of his addictions. He seemed so wholesome in the old photos where he was tending to the animals on their farm. I hope that you succeed with your beautiful old house!
Unfortunately he died ten years ago from his addictions and the hardship of losing his wife to breath cancer. I think the time with his new family was his happiest time, until it started to fall apart 💔 thank you so much ❤️🩹❤️🩹
