Nice guitar. Sunburst is your thing. 😀 I tried a custom shop HSS, with a Seymour Duncan distortion at the bridge and it was nice overall as you expect from a high end fender but completely unbalanced. The output was so loud that lowered the experience.
Hi Stefano... Lol... Sunburst was actually a finish I disliked when I first started out back in the early 1970s... not sure why... I think I thought of it as a cheap looking finish because I remember seeing really cheap guitars in that finish in the local market type stores that used to be part of the High Street. As I returned to playing I was now more interested in the original Fender offerings and that of course was Sunburst. The Shawbucker in this guitar also has an increase in volume compared to the single coils but not so that it is an issue. Shame about the SD pick-up, you would have thought it would have been better set-up unless it was an aftermarket fit... not balanced correctly? Next video I show another Custom Shop - and it's not Sunburst... ;-) Regards: Stu

Well... if you were to ask my wife she would say that it's a beautiful looking Stratocaster, while my CS Fender Strat relic 50s/60s models are horrible looking beaten up things... ;-) Yes... it's a Stratocaster alright, but without doubt it has a modern feel to it which is exactly what Fender intended... I think it can be really confusing for folks either starting out, or old guys coming back to guitar trying to figure out what to buy. So yes that could be very helpful.
