Thanks for this! It's nice to see people using this tool! I've been using the suite of extensions that accompanies this in a lot of my work, but I haven't endeavored in learning the rigs quite yet. It's really nice to know that someone who knows flash and rigs is using and likes these tools! I'm excited to experiment with them too!
I'm just entering this world of animation style more different than what I'm used to, I animate the classic style and boneless vectors, this is very new but I like it, I'll try it
I just want to say, love the video, kinda wish you didn't speed up during the Center Marker / Magnet Target phase though, because there is some nuance to it if you are a first timer... car repair videos seem to do this sin all the time too, it's baffles me everytime... perhaps show it done once slow before going all speedy? Anyway, just a minor issue, great video.
It is possible but it is challenging to manage the breaks in the lines on the seams. Here's a really creative work around th-cam.com/video/xVIgnBqAa4Q/w-d-xo.html
Hey there! I was wondering if I could potentially pay you to rig a character or do a sort of live class for me? I've got a character I want to rig for future youtube videos but I'm having some trouble with it
@@RigTheory Done! Thank you very much! :) (Apologies for the late response, I get tons of youtube comments every day so I miss response comments like yours)
Honestly I started using it around one, one and a half year ago and as I saw as an awesome rigging tool, I did struggle and left it. With your tutorials I will go back and try my best. If I get stark I will ask you. I definitely will ask for some tips and tutorial. Thank you very much for your kind reply.
Great question! I haven't haad much luck moving the kinematic info from program to program, like Animate --> Moho. But for me the most time-consuming part is getting the vector art to look good. I bet we could export svg assets and re-rig in Cartoon animator pretty fast. I can send the assets to you for this rig if you'd like 'em
I tried everything to rig a model but it dosen't work. The model seperates from the rig and idk what that means help Edit: I finally know how to after using the Edaptable in the transformation tool.
Haha, yes! I created this video before learning this. But it is helpful to understand the magnets and center markers in case deep fixes are needed- for example with multi-view rigs
@@RigTheory ah ok cool I just bought the plugin two days ago so i was wondering if i was doing it right lol..yeah it's always good knowing the mechanics
You have a point. When I created this video a lot of Animate's rigging tools were really hard to use. I still think Flash Power Tools is really fast to setup and intuitive to use- once you get the hang of it :)
Generally, yes. The hands, feet and head only need a center marker. The pelvis, if it's the root, needs as many magnet targets as there are connections.
I just had a matrix moment. “I know kung fu” I was staring at the head and wondering how I would go about making it turn. Would I be right in saying turning layers on and off could replace a head and animate it turning?
you need to make an updated tutorial with more precise steps, ive been trying to tag the bones for an hour and they just keep talking about a 4 pixel length, or they dont connect at all, theres no specification if you put the layers together or do this to the individual symbols, im sure 3 years so maybe some elements are outdated , but its just not working, i was hoping this was a way to make a symbol you could control in scene similar to what moho allows, i couldn't find anything indicating it could be done in regular adobe animate
I have try to install the latest version. It is giving me a message that I need to close all files and run the set up again. Everything I have close, but it is still giving me this message. Please can you tell me what I am doing wrong ?
@@RigTheory I manage to download. Basically once I open the Adobe animate where you select the new project, there you have to use the run function from the Command. Previously I was on the editing page, maybe that is why is asking me to close the program. Really happy, thank you for your advise.
Okay, Law. Let me ask you a question that really bothers me. As someone who is really inspired by the use of power tools, you can give me an answer. Does it work well with Canvas mode in Animate 2020?

@@RigTheory thnx for replying :)
I notice most of the rigged characters have no outline, Does it work with characters who have outlines?

Bro Can the character be exported to programs? Cartoon animator and as 360

Doesn't it do this stuff automatically now ...by pressing make edaptable?

How to Show the SMR Helper Tools Panel ?
Hi. Very useful tutorial. But i have a problem. I dont have IK Effector, IK Brace and FK Extender in my SMR helpers. I dont know what to do...
I'm new to animating in 2D I'm using blender rn and my god it's taking me a week jus to get the head to move
👍 ty
For sure!
Good job!
I honestly dont get why is this better then the built in ik tool. I mean the only feature I see is the fact that you can lock a child in place

So each symbol needs a magnet and a center target?

This is actually paid course quality tutorial, available for free.
I just had a matrix moment.

I wish this was a feature of the program instead of a paid plugin for inverse
It's well worth the money
can you tell me : How can I download the plugin ?
